I've been living off a wireless charger for about 7 months and finally got it back to normal. I bought a tooth brush and rubbing alcohol, scrubbed out the charging port until it was super clean inside. Then I used a blow drier on it for about 5 minutes.
It still said it was displaying moisture, with the phone still turned on I slowly (and I mean very slowly) began inserting the charging cable into the port. This time I heard the charging sound following by the moisture alert, I pressed okay and bam.. It started charging.
For a phone that cost close to $800AU, the Samsung S9+ I expected better, I firmly believe it was a bug.. just doesn't make sense why slowly inserting the cable worked for me.
Give this a go if you're out of ideas, it's worth a shot, good luck!

You're a nice guy and trying to be helpful I appreciate that if you want to correct this issue on your phone it is usually not moisture causing it. you need to go to apps under settings next show system apps, find Android system and force stop.

The unplugging and quickly plugging worked but it was not a permanent fix... However, deleting my last 3 third party apps and it worked perfectly!!!! Excellent video my friend!

Update: To fix my s9, it would have costed around 225$. Picked up the new S20 after not having a phone for a week or so; great phone so far! Hoping it lasts longer than the one I had before.

My phone Samsung Note 9 wasn't charging because a moisture error detected (yellow triangle). Called Samsung and was told there was nothing Samsung could do because my phone was out of warranty. I took it to my service provider (Tmobile), it recommended to purchase a wireless charger. I was desperate but I didn't purchase it because I did not have my wallet with me. I did however, charged it about 15% at tmobile using a wireless charger at the store. I got home and started to search for a solution. Found your video and tried the 2nd option (plugging the cable about 1/2 way, turn the power on and then insert the cable all the way in after Samsung logo appeared on the screen. I am happy to report that it is actually working. My phone is now at 30% with no moisture error. Thank you so much for the video on the fix.

To all the 1.4 million viewers having this problem
I am also a comrade having the same problem till a week ago..I don't know whether this is some kind of software issue or hardware issue...but one thing is for sure. This "moisture detected in your usb port"came suddenly out of nowhere when we didn't even had moisture or any other particles on the port. But after having this problem for a half year I will say that, this issue vanished suddenly into thin air....without leaving a single trace....I am not telling the solution to this problem but just that it went suddenly. It's no more popping in my notification panel.for roughly 6-7 months I used my android by charging it after switching off and inserting the charger the moment the logo came....but after so many months suddenly this thing disappeared.

Perfect mate.. Doubted fix 3 but it worked perfectly! Tried cleaning and drying the port and all connectors but that didn't change anything. Must be some bug where if it triggers with water once, it sticks in the system memory and isn't removed. Genius!

  • @zak526

The only way to fix it is as follows:
I had this problem for about 5 months until 3 weeks ago when I got fed up with it. All you need is rubbing alcohol, a spare toothbrush electric or other, and a hair dryer. Dip the brush in the alcohol and scrub inside the usb port for about 10-15 minutes dipping repeatedly. Then once you can see either on the bristles or with a flashlight that it is now clean inside you use the hair dryer. Set it to medium or low and blow dry holding the phone so that the usb port is facing down towards the ground for about 10 minutes. Then wait 5 minutes plug it in and voila no more issues. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't had the error once. Almost feels like a brand new phone! Cheers all hope this helped you!
