Cool rice -> chared your phone from 65% to 94% overnight. Where'd you buy the rice from?

Samsung patch created this mess on my phone. The only moisture that has got to my phone is humidity. I've done all of the tricks and I can get the error to go away for a few days, then it starts back up with the errors again. Very annoying! This is the last Samsung phone I will buy.

It's a damaged charging port, it will have to be replaced

If there is actually no moisture in there the error will keep coming back. The only workaround for me has been just to charge it wirelessly as plugging it in starts it all off. Pretty poor from Samsung

So right before he put the phone in the rice it was 65% battery, and when he pulled it out it was 94%.....so rice charges your phone too?

Good catch :-) I decided to top up the phone via wireless charging for a bit and then put back the phone in the rice and left it there overnight. I just had the same issue come up this week and the rice worked again....I think it is time that I actually cook the rice now :-)

I have a Samsung S21 plus and had the water symbol come up today and was panicking. I cleared the USB cache and it hasn’t reoccurred yet. Will it keep reoccurring or will it be fine. I have taped the USB port up as so scared.

    So effing frustrating ‼️
This is the 2nd time this has happened to my Samsungs ---> 2 different phones ~ the S10 and now S20. I tried every single hack I found online... some crazy shit like turn on and hit volume up 3 × and power twice, do 4 jumping jacks with phone in your front middle pants pocket, shotgun 7 Busch Lights in under 17 minutes, put phone in dryer with your favorite blankie, do the kickworm the entire length of your driveway, smack yourself in the face as hard as possible, 2 more Busch Lights and then turn the phone on and the ⚠️ is gone.
This did not work,,, just got me buzzed up and sore the next day.
Seriously though, I had to buy a new phone last time and now it's happening again. Bad thing is that there is no juice left and I can't get it to charge wireless. So I'm screwed....unless someone on here has any suggestions??
I'm lucky that I carry a personal phone but need that phone for work immediately .
    🤬🤬🤬🤬

@snubsoda, I had this problem too first time, I tried various things on utube then second time I rebooted my phone and took out the sim card and stopped having the problem was recommended to use USBC changing port where I bought off Amazon along with a USBC cable cord

I am trying to hook up a MagicJack plus that I bought but I do not have a telephone line to plug into the MagicJack Plus.. can I still get it connected without a telephone line? I am not a technical person and I know nothing about technology.. I am in my late 60s and technology is hard for me to learn.😮😊

    • @richiesgaminggadgetsgizmos5861
      @richiesgaminggadgetsgizmos5861  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thanks for enquiring. You do not need a telephone line for the MagicJack Plus to work. All you need is a computer with a USB port that has an Internet connection. You can then use the soft client (the MagicJack software application) to make and receive calls or you can plug a telephone into the RJ11 (telephone jack) that is located on the MagicJack Plus and use the telephone itself to make and receive calls.

You shouldn't use rice it can get caught in the charging port instead use silica gel packs they absorb moisture

Somebody in a forum wrote it also happens if you use fast charging chargers, they load faster but overheat the sensor with the hot weather it causes this problems.

I solved it by finding a charger that can deliver a decent current. (2.5). Otherwise the phone shuts down while it is still announcing that it's a Samsung. Sorry but I can't believe that the rice does anything useful

How do I know a charger delivers 2.5? My phone is doing it with all of my chargers and it's not always possible to use wireless. Phone shop can't even fix it 😒
