  • Here is how to Remove Samsungs Moisture Detected Warning in your charging port that won't go away even when there is no moisture and preventing you from charging your phone. This does not necessarily mean that your phone has become defective. In most cases, the fix for this error is simple: dry the phone. There are some rare cases though that moisture detected error may show up for some reasons. This fix Should work for both Galaxy S8, S9, S10, A20, Note 9, Note 10, Note 20 and several other Samsung smartphones. If it doesn't work at all you might be better off getting a wireless charger. #samsungmosituredetected #samsung

This was amazing. I have tried imaginable suggestion I could find online, and nothing worked until I found your video. What a simple solution!!! You are the only one who understood that the problem might be with the fast charger. I did exactly what you said: I unplugged from the fast charger and used a direct ubs plug on my power strip, and lo and behold, it began charging again (after more than one year!), and it keeps charging now even with the fast charger. Thank you!!!

I just watched your video and, though not right away, I got it to work! I used the old charger first, then plugged it into my old laptop but it didn't work. Hi. I want to say a big Thank you to you for posting this short but excellent useful video for moisture detecting warning.
As you mentioned my Samsung note 10 phone kept showing that annoying charging error and didn't allow me to charge my phone. As you mentioned I tried each and every thing everyone mentioned in the you tube. I spent almost 6 hours trying to fix the problem. My husband also has a note 10 , so I could do some wireless charging to keep my phone alive. I got so tired that finally I was thinking of doing a factory reset which I didn't want to do since I have lot of useful data on my phone. Thought of trying one more video and got your video. I had already done the previous two things you had shown so tried the 3rd step you showed and you know what it worked! The moisture detection warning has gone and I am able to charge my phone now.
    Thank you once again!

If anyone else is having trouble with step 3 - try plugging your phone in, once the alert comes up (and won't go away after a few seconds), then unplug your phone a little bit (so the phone is no longer charging but the plug is still in the charging port), then plug it back in - thats what worked for me!! I also used a fast charger tho (its all I had on me), I just disabled fast charging in my settings 😊 thanks for the video!!

I was 1000% sure that the port was dry and no water was in there. I still did the first 2 steps just for good measure but it wasn't until the last step that my phone actually started to charge with a cord. Idk how you figured this out but I appreciate you for sharing this with the world.

Hi, I was having the same problem and what worked for me was using a thin makeup brush to take out any dust that may be inside the charging port and then keeping it underneath a normal bedside lamp for 20 minutes with the bulb 5 cm away from the screen

I found a similar but more simple way, especially for guys like me that don't have hair dryers. All you need is:
    - something tiny and pointy (toothpick or dental floss pick)
    - something sanitizing (rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer)
    - one little square of toilet paper, or maybe even a very thin microfiber cloth if one can actually fit in there (not sure)
    1. take the toilet paper and put a tiny amount of alcohol/sanitizer on it so it feels very slightly damp
    2. wrap that toilet paper around the end of the pick you are using
    3. gently poke the pick into the port and rub both sides of the USB conductor to wipe dirt off
    4. repeat step 3 except with a piece or dry toilet paper to remove any leftover cleaner or any actual real moisture that was in there before.
This took all of 60 seconds and worked perfectly the first attempt. For me, the port was just dirty. Oh, and yes, turn your phone OFF when you are doing this.
EDIT: Don't use a Q-tip! That cotton can get stuck on the USB conductor and you don't want to be leaving pieces of debris like that in there. Worse still, the plastic part behind the swap can scratch the interior, which is exactly the opposite of what you want to be doing. If anything is unavailable, use your best judgment - the idea is you use a sanitizing cleaner which dries very quickly, put it on some material that can clean without leaving residue of its own, and you are poking into the port with anything very thin and pointy. EZ

      So a couple of things
      1. I have seen a lot of comments about men net having a hair dryer. I live with 3 women so I used what was available. But you could also use a heat gun or if your phone is that important find a woman and borrow theirs.
      2. I can slightly agree about the Qtip comment. I would still use a Qtip but the quality of the Qtip does matter. I hate the plastic ones and the cheaper they are the less cotton they use so that could be an issue. But the more quality ones you should have no problem.
      3. I have to disagree with using a toothpick or floss pick because those could do harm as well if your not careful
Just my thoughts but thanks for the comment

Another tip is too make sure the speaker grill and spen port are both dry, i had the moisture warning since i dropped my phone in water but it wouldnt go away even when the charging port was dry, then i took out the spen and it was wet, so I dried it off and blew into the speaker grill and the warning went away

The moisture warning came on my Note 9 a few days ago and I have searched Samsund support and all types of help from various TH-cam and tech sites and yours is the only one that worked. I had tried step one several times and used compressed air to no avail. I was skeptical of using the alcohol cleaning being worried of putting any kind of liquid into the phone. Using a cotton Q-tip scared me as well. But your step three using an older model non-fast charge charger seems to have worked! I so appreciate it.
