The Leon and Octavia uses the long wheelbase version of the MQB platform. The golf and the A3 uses the shorter wheelbase version.

The EcoLED Headlights make the Leon feels soulless. Luckily the Kung Chong sales managers said changing the headlights to the proper Full LED headlights can be done. Side Assist, ACC, Front Assist, BSM and RCTA are additional features that you can top up extra on. All these added costs will bring the car’s price just shy of the Golf Life price point.
So in short, just spec the Leon to the max. You’re getting your money’s worth. I currently drive a Mk. 3 Leon. Their servicing and Customer Service at Vertex Euro is very very top notch. Better than Audi and VW.

Sounds all rosy, but in reality the potential customer has to know that the sound insulation is average at best, lots of axle rumble, the software still has many bugs and idiosyncrasies, is sluggish even after beeing on the market for over a year in Europe. And a Golf 6 over 10 years ago had a more premium feeling interior than the actual Leon...unfortunately thats a trend on most VW products.
