I love Sohyang and I praise her a lot for her vocal support, resonance and ability to sustain notes above Bb5. It's really impressive. It's undeniable that Lara doesn't sing that high, but to me the notes that she sings are pure melted gold floating through the air and being poured into my ears. The resonance, the breath control, the lengt, the power, the tone, etc, all of that combined always ring like a powerful bell. I think Lara's notes are more melodic and pleasant to my ears. Sohyang's notes are amazing too, but they just sound a bit more screamed and do not sound melodic to me as Lara's do.
You can cross the world as many times as you want, you will NEVER find another LARA FABIAN. It's not about the high and low, the sustaining of notes that digs into breath control. It's the INTERPRETATION AND PRECISE EXECUTION OF THE STORY BEING PRESENTED. It also can't just happen as a "once off" occasion. Lara's execution is, in my humble opinion, spot-on each time she delivers. It is not even a matter of "What are the chances that she would..." Technique is first and foremost support with ease and a lack of tension throughout the voice. Lara is great at this, but Sohyang is better. Obviously, Lara does beat Sohyang in certain areas, mainly midbelts, breath control, and intonation. Meanwhile, Sohyang also beats her in agility and versatility, and matches her in dynamics, transitions, consistency, and stamina. Overall, I’d peg Sohyang as the more technically proficient singer, although both are top tier.

You might think her tone is “screamy” but most don’t. Tone is subjective and has no place in a technical discussion. You could just as easily call Lara too muffled and heady at that rate.

Coming from a clasically trained person, Lara has naturally better technique than Sohyang, as Lara has been trained for years and her resonance is naturally darker, deeper, and larger than Sohyang. Lara has a deeper, fuller, more aesthetically pleasing tone than Sohyang. Although both are awesome singers, Lara has better technique, resonance, and is overall more of an A+ Singer whereas Sohyang is more A-. There is your professional view.

SoH is technically alkost full packaged. You don't t know well about her. I've experienced over 100 songs she has sung. The best clear tone, long strong breath, dynamics, agile register transition, power, wide range, stamina, emotion, ethics attitude and etc are her forte. The weak points are pitch unstable, underpower low note and health issues at times.
Far from it, actually. Contraltos have androgynous tones and very, very low tessituras (their lower ranges are the strongest parts of their voices). These two have extremely weak, foggy low notes, but rich, full and resonant high notes, which comes to show that they are sopranos.

SoHyang just have a "higher" voice, D5 for her is like A4 for Lara, very different techniques. While Lara close her vowels, SoHyang opens.

Coming from a clasically trained person, Lara has naturally better technique than Sohyang, as Lara has been trained for years and her resonance is naturally darker, deeper, and larger than Sohyang. Lara has a deeper, fuller, more aesthetically pleasing tone than Sohyang. Although both are awesome singers, Lara has better technique, resonance, and is overall more of an A+ Singer whereas Sohyang is more A-. There is your professional view.
...So Hyang has a wide musical versatility and she can sing any genre including classical songs... and don't say that So Hyang is not "technical" because she is known as now as "vocal technician"
Lara's vocal is just too and too easy for So Hyang TBH
So Hyang is more athletic in vocal I mean she has wide flexibility and Agility that can allow her to jump from chest to head effortlessly, brighter resonance than Lara, fuller in voice than Lara, No strain, so and so forward, high notes are perfectly place, notes from her low till her high up to C#6 in mix belt are supported and sustainable without straining, overcompressing the cord, Very coordinate registers(chest, mix to head till F6 and even A6)..

People here in comment section says " lara's voice is pleasing to my ear" or " lara's voice is soothing for me" i mean we all have different Preferences but Vocally Speaking So hyang Destroys every note out there with impeccable vocal Control and immeasurable Vocal Technique. So hyang Won easily

You don't t know well about her.
I've experienced over 100 songs she has sung. The best clear tone, long strong breath, dynamics, agile register transition, power, wide range, stamina, emotion, ethics attitude and etc are her forte. The weak points are pitch unstable, underpower low note and health issues at times.

Far from it, actually. Contraltos have androgynous tones and very, very low tessituras (their lower ranges are the strongest parts of their voices). These two have extremely weak, foggy low notes, but rich, full and resonant high notes, which comes to show that they are sopranos.
