Really glad you ladies are doing this serious, you guys are pretty high-end which is cool. However, this is more related to the majority of those in the correct economic climate. Thank you.
I love the calmness that comes through from all of your designs and color choices. Really living for how Bonnie is explaining all the choices in this new "series", love the teamwork!!! Feel like I'm also learning along the way.
I’m obsessed with this bathroom! I love that you ladies are showing that you don’t need big dollars to make a space look beautiful and modern. Amazing work from you all x
what a great way to start my Monday! Are literally putting on clothes to go out and buy some paint for our living room, and scheduled a floor guy to come and sand our floors next weekend.
I’m married to a paint contractor and I am so confused/appalled why all the paint for this tiny bathroom cost them $1,139! Especially since they painted everything themselves and didn’t have to hire help! Could you imagine if every room in the house cost that much to paint? That is totally unrealistic and unnecessary. Also the total $4,000 just to paint and change taps plus get a few accessories is outrageous. They could have got the same look for $1,000 TOTAL by not buying ridiculously priced items and paying so many handymen.
Chantal it is insanely high, but in Australia everything is expensive and we don’t have a lot of choice like the US. The tile paint alone was $82 for 1 litre.
The tile was so pretty and natural before! Can't imagine the painted tile texture/finish looks good up close? And that wood behind the mirror! It was so modern and cool before the white paint. I love natural wood tones for tropical climates. I think this bathroom could have been updated and refined without losing the overall earthy wood vibe. Changing the cabinets and drawer fronts for more modern faces and brass pulls would have made such a big difference in addition to modern gold fixtures everywhere else.
Also ladies I was wondering that during your massive whole house renovations are you also working on smaller projects on the side like this one or does the house reno get your undivided attention?
i love the breakdown on the budget! Although I really thought they shouldn;t have painted the timber wall, it was so beautiful before it almost seemed the reno was unnecessary, like the budget could have gone elsewhere. Still beautiful though.
Could you please tell me what the colour is that you painted the cabinet in? Just love it and about to do a similar colour but think I like yours better. LOL and go gals, great to see Aussie gals at work. I am replacing my basin with two and covering my tiles with pressed metal.. and new live edge timber bench top. Getting excited...
As someone that lives in a house where the previous owner painted tile.. I cringed 😣 it's just not a long term fix and bubbles, peels and stains so easy
From my experience this would be due to poor prep work and poor painting. We painted tiles around our kitchen walls including where the oven is, in an ivory white. Six years later and the white still looks new and shiny with no wear, tear, stains or bubbling what's so ever
Looks amazing girls! Love the vanity colour! Bon where are your gorgeous pants from that you were wearing while doing the mirror, lol I'd love a pair 🤞👍
The art work in the room where you guys are testing out the paint colors (3 minutes or so into the video) is stunning, can you share the details on the artist as well as overall dimensions?
Can someone explain actual costs of how the paint cost 1,100. I managed to base coat with two tubs and paint a full room for about 50. How did painting some walls and cabinets etc in a bathroom cost 1,100... Unless they used the fancy paint lol
I just bought a house and I need to do a reno and all I am watching is you beautiful women!, im trying to learn and get my head wrapped around what I need to do. I wish I could get your advice .I feel so lost hahah!:(
I was wondering if this home belonged to Erin with the way Bonnie has her involved in the process. You girls did great. I love the green for the cupboards and the DIY gold mirror. I'm gonna diy a picture frame gold that I got discounted and I know itll make so much difference.
I don't see any comments about how to clean the shower since the tiles were painted. I can understand painting tiles around the bath as this doesn't get as much direct water, but the shower, how do you clean the painted walls without dulling or damaging the paint?
Here's how Dulux recommends to clean a shower that has been painted: "It is preferable to use mild detergents to clean the painted surface. For harder to remover stains and scum try using Selleys Sugar Soap. If the stains or scum areas are persistent and remain after the above cleaning is used, then try Selleys Scum Buster but do not leave on the surface for more that 2-3 minutes before wiping with a clean soft cloth and rinsing well with water. Do not use scouring pad type cleaners or cleaners that contain abrasives. Do not use bleach as this can impact on the colour of some of the colourants used in Renovation Range products."
I redid my whole bathroom for this much money. I'm talking about new floors, new shower, vanity, shiplap, all of it. Granted we did the work ourselves, but 5K seems a little too much for a few faucets and paint. You do not need an electrician to change out a light fixture. Just a tiny bit of research.
Hi ladies! Does the paint and primer have to be oil based when painting cabinets? I also read that paint will stick better if sanded and to use liquid sandpaper... Did you just prime right over cabinets? thanks! Also looove that cabinet color!! xx
Hi lovely, this is the Dulux Renovation range paints. We've listed all the products and linked them here: www.threebirdsrenovations.com/bathroommakeover x

This series is AMAZING!!!!! Please PLEASE do this more!!!!!!
I love the calmness that comes through from all of your designs and color choices. Really living for how Bonnie is explaining all the choices in this new "series", love the teamwork!!! Feel like I'm also learning along the way.
Love that you talked through how you picked out colors!! So helpful!!
I’m obsessed with this bathroom! I love that you ladies are showing that you don’t need big dollars to make a space look beautiful and modern. Amazing work from you all x
Erin is the cutest!! Such a sweetheart!
Loved this makeover, you girls are awesome!
Aww the birds are all incredibly attractive, stylish and fun
The color scheme for this bathroom is lovely. I'm really impressed with how the tiles turned out :)
LOVE that she talked through the rationale behind the color scheme and how to piece the different tones together. More please :)
what a great way to start my Monday! Are literally putting on clothes to go out and buy some paint for our living room, and scheduled a floor guy to come and sand our floors next weekend.
Tbh thought the beginning shots of the bathroom was the finished project, I was already impressed, like yeah retro!!
So glad you’s are making more videos it’s been so long and I love your videos

Don’t forget exchange rate...
They’re based in Australia and here in Australia it’s very unlikely that you could achieve that whole look for less then $1000.
I just commented the same thing about the paint! In USD it came out to $750 which still seems insanely high to me
Chantal yes! I totally agree!
Chantal it is insanely high, but in Australia everything is expensive and we don’t have a lot of choice like the US. The tile paint alone was $82 for 1 litre.
High end style at a budget...loving it :)
Amazing! I especially loved Bonnie guiding Erin through the process of the mood board they created, would love to see more of that process
coastal boho my favorite! gorgeous bathroom
Don't you feel that painting the gorgeous natural stone tile, cheapens the whole look?
You guys have magic in your hands. I would also like to see more colourful reno of future projects.

Loving the affordable spaces! Beautiful again ladies!
Love these renovations on a budget! Hopefully we get more in the future ✨
Also ladies I was wondering that during your massive whole house renovations are you also working on smaller projects on the side like this one or does the house reno get your undivided attention?
Hi lovely, we always have a few projects on the go at one time! We're busy working on our next houses now x
Can yall please do more videos like these I’m actually learning a little bit😊
i love the breakdown on the budget! Although I really thought they shouldn;t have painted the timber wall, it was so beautiful before it almost seemed the reno was unnecessary, like the budget could have gone elsewhere. Still beautiful though.
Great job again 👏
Thank you ❤
The end result is so pretty
are you being payed by a client to renovate this space or is this a house that you've bought and decided to do a low budget rennovation?
Sabrina Small no this is not a client’s home. This is actually Erin’s rental property - hence why we’re renovating on a budget. Xx
@@Threebirdsrenovations How does it work with it being a rental? In some rentals, you've got to leave it as it was when you moved in.
Elin Molin Erin probably owns the rental
Three Birds Renovations Bonnie is that you? Hhh
@@elinmolin8494 Erin owns this property :)
Love that green. I've been looking for a soft sophisticated green for my laundry and I might've found it
That's 'Mossa' by Dulux, isn't it lovely? x
Beautiful and inspiring, because it’s on a reasonable budget. Although I do love you guys’ normal Renos as well! 💕💕💕
OK, didn't realize you could paint tile. awesome!
Girls it looks fabulous 🙌🏻 I’m wanting to make over my main bathroom over I’m sending this to my husband 💖

Gorgeous, clean and bright as usual. Where are those wall sconces from?
Just brought a house with 4 full bathrooms (which is alot of $) so will definatly incorporate these cost efficient ideas! Thanks😊

You ladies are amazing. Would love to meet you one day.
love your work!🌈❤️
Beautiful!!!! You girls are so talented👌🏻👏🏻💪🏻
...and keep those styling/colour choice lessons coming Bonnie. With Erin as the guinea pig. Too funny!
oh wow, the cabinet colour is beautiful 💗💗💗
HOW DOES PAINT COST 1100?? PLEASE TELL ME
As someone that lives in a house where the previous owner painted tile.. I cringed 😣 it's just not a long term fix and bubbles, peels and stains so easy
Maybe they weren't using the right paint and/or didn't sand the tile first?
Yes!
Agreed. Not good for long term and such a pain to strip if you don’t have the budget to re-tile.
From my experience this would be due to poor prep work and poor painting. We painted tiles around our kitchen walls including where the oven is, in an ivory white. Six years later and the white still looks new and shiny with no wear, tear, stains or bubbling what's so ever
Prep work is the key to painted tiles!
As usual I love it ,well done once again
What a transformation, can you please link the cabinet paint color please
Hi Natalie, it's Dulux 'Mossa'. You can see all the details here: www.threebirdsrenovations.com/bathroommakeover xx

The art work in the room where you guys are testing out the paint colors (3 minutes or so into the video) is stunning, can you share the details on the artist as well as overall dimensions?
Hi lovely, this is a custom print by Jai Vasicek on the wall of our office. It's 1.5m x 1.5m xx

I swear you make the best bathrooms😍💕💕💕
Holy cow!! $5k for paint and a few fixtures, that's a ton of money for a DIY that calls for some simple cosmetic upgrades.
Hi lovely, remember we're working in Australian dollars so it's considerably less than USD 😘
@@Threebirdsrenovations lol!!! I was thinking that had to be the case 😅.
Love this reno! Where did you get that mirror for $40? I want to do a diy just like that ❤️
Kmart they said
Yes, it's from Kmart in Australia x
I was wondering if this home belonged to Erin with the way Bonnie has her involved in the process. You girls did great. I love the green for the cupboards and the DIY gold mirror. I'm gonna diy a picture frame gold that I got discounted and I know itll make so much difference.
Hi Faheema, no this isn't Erin's place but she was interested in the process of this smaller reno x
Ooh ok now I understand. If shes renting. Is painting the tiles and counter tops allowed?
I love Bonnies Yellow/paisley pants! where are they from?!?!
She doesn't know, sorry! Bon was given them by a friend but they don't have a label x
Would you ever do a house over seas ?
What happens if I decide to remove the paint from the tiles? Is that possible and if so, what's the process of doing that?
You can't. They ruined the bathroom for a sponsored video.
Omg! I didn't know that is possible to paint tiles 😍
Binge watching everything❤️❤️❤️
Where did you get the vanity wall lights?
I bet those wall tiles were very expensive
I love it my friend just bought her new house and she has been looking for some inspiration so will send her this video ♥️🍷💃🏼

12:49 what is that pocket inside the sink? Is it a Aussie thing?
Hi there it’s for soap!
LOVE THIS
Love it!!!
would love to see how it looks if you replace everything Bonnie wants to replace like how much different it will be on a bigger budget
Ok, I actually had a heart attack when you PAINTED OVER travertine tile!!!!!! =(((
I wouldn’t have painted the tiles, but then again, that’s what the whole video is about.
Where is that mirror from? I’d love to do this diy.
Oh wow! What a difference! It's gorgeous! Now I also want to paint my bathroom tiles! But I rent. :((
What sheen did you use for the walls? Matte, Eggshell, or Satin. I don't see much of a sheen so I was wondering.
I redid my whole bathroom for this much money. I'm talking about new floors, new shower, vanity, shiplap, all of it.
