Even though the fish weren't out in force, the scenery, sunset and peace and quiet makes for a great session. To make it even better, a 1st thornback. 👍Well done Jon👏👏. Hope it's the 1st of many more. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe. 😷
jansen you cant beat the bristol channel can you mate great session and well done to john with his first thornback ray. catch up with you soon jansen take care chap
Welcome back mate, less guiding, more making videos for us, you do it so well. Awesome setting, video, soundtrack, explanations, just brilliant. Don’t leave it too long for the next one. Stay safe everyone
@@thegamblingangler If you’re ever up around the Yorkshire coast and after a guided session buddy, get in touch…….. me and my my mates don’t do too bad at catching fish, but we know all the best chippy’s to go to after 👍🏻
Great video, Jon's taught me almost everything I know about fishing great pool of knowledge, has some fantastic marks and an awesome chap great to see him on here!! Cheers.
I've really enjoyed finding and watching you're videos. so many great tips alot of wich common sense but easily missed by the newer anglers. I watched 1 video where you fished really light with a carp rod and I really like this idea and I'm looking forward too trying it on my surf coastline in Rhyl North Wales. would this method be suitable for a chopier surf as we get alot of North Westerlies that really do churn the beaches up?? also would freshly pumped lungworm work aswell as crab as that's predominantly what we have good numbers of?
@@thegamblingangler Glad Chris wrote that and you saw it, I came to the comments to find this, was wondering the same!. Don’t give it up I enjoyed your videos and I’m local to where you fish 🎣
Some good news and some bad news gambling me old pal. The good news is that next week is officially an 8 day week, so plenty of time no matter what the tide, conditions, weather or bait availability to get down to the shore and knock out a video on that extra day. Bad news is, the week after it’s a 6 day week to catch up that day from next week 😬, but don’t worry about making a video that week 👍🏻
Just found your channel.good job on it.caught me some mackerel today for dinner.helford estuary..do you no the name of the track at the start of vid,I like that.tightlines yo.cheers.
Thanks Ollie, glad you’re enjoying the channel. Can’t beat fresh mackerel for dinner! Not sure on the track, a friend sent it through years ago and we’ve since lost touch. Tight lines!🙂🎣
Great video gentlemen ,l'm relatively new to beach fishing and fish this beach as often as possible l had a 20lb conger not far from where you are 2 weeks back and lost a thornback !l was fishing a 11.5 meter tide . My question to you is do you think the lower tides also produce ?
Thanks Adrian. Yes- I’ve found the smaller tides to fish well over the years, especially when the sea is rougher. Big tides can be hard work with a strong lateral tide run. I would ideally fish a tide of between 10m and 10.5m on the Weston-super-Mare scale. This also means you won’t be walking back so fast with the incoming tide. Have fun and tight lines🙂🎣
Cracking evening we had! Didn’t blank and awesome company. Huge thanks to Jansen. First ever guided session would absolutely recommend to everyone!
It certainly was an extremely enjoyable session Jon, we’ll be doing it all again soon🎣🙂👌🏼
