Beach fishing at its purest, always a treat to return to the basics of assessing at low tide then fishing the incoming tide. Excellent stewardship of our coasts as always! You're a living example to your fellow fisherman and an inspirational with each new film. Awesome stuff. 👍

This is what people should watch, that is if they actually want to improve their catches. Watercraft be it sea or freshwater is the most important factor going! You have to have to put yourself on the best thought out spot to intercept the moving fish. Sea fish travel big distances to favoured feeding area’s you just need to work out where they are. Great point about clearing up lost lines and leads as well. While I might not have the same ideas as Graeme I take my hat of to him fishing in nasty conditions, and producing the goods. Filming solo is such hard work as well and Graeme does try hard to catch it on video. Great video! Bill
Excellent fishing and beach craft. That was a nice Conger for there, usually more of the stamp of the first Eel but, all turned out good in the end. How anyone can dislike your films is beyond me as there is nothing to dislike, films are of excellent quality and excellent content, i guess they have nothing better to do. Thank you for providing another great film really enjoyed it. Thanks again.
I used to live near Wadebridge, Cornwall. On the biggest tides the flood would reach up this tiny stream in the village. Every so often we would go and watch the flooded stream and there would be a conger or two- the old man used to try and skewer then with a pitch fork. The conger would be miles up the River Camel estuary and then a couple of miles up the tiny stream. The eels probably came for juvenile flounder which lived in the stream. Baby flounder could be a good bait fishing off the beaches.
Graeme you never let me down, a great video in adverse weather. The sound quality is excellent with those waves hitting the beach and the glimpse of the red sky made it special. In harsh conditions you still catch fish. Even this early I notice you have got the "snowflakes" disliking your productions why don't they f*** off and watch the crap on television. In case you don't release any more videos before Christmas have a good one!
Don't worry I am still cracking out 2 films a week...finalising another one tonight between checking comments...You are right..the whiners still don't seem to have found the "off" button.

@@TAFishing what I love about your videos is the really authenticity. You don't get that with commercial TV shows. Please keep doing what you do. Brilliant as usual, l always like to fish well away from people and find lots of fishing gear leads beads spinners etc, in one beach walk to fish over 20 leads all shapes and sizes, l like the good tips on your video’s about rigs and fish, have a good 2020
When I started fishing 45 years ago I stopped fishing. The biggest mistake was not reading the beach but the over optimistic use of too big hooks and too strong 35 lb breaking point nylon. Then I overstuffed the hook. So I caught very few fish and gave up. I used to try in the garden route in the Cape Town area and there were no shortage of fish in those days. The moral of the story is to start small and smart.
Good morning Graham. Great video. I use "Google Earth Pro" (it's free) it has an "historical imagery" option that lets you go back in time, you can get an aerial views of beaches with the tides "in and out" showing reefs etc.
I used to love going low water finding lost gear & finding the gullys. Great vid. Have a lovely xmas & happy new year. Be thinking of you in the Thai sunshine ! Lol

Graham great video and information just a thought that with the fact that most Peaple have a mobile phone with a camera on it would a few photos at low tide be an ideal for reference when the tide comes back in and we are fishing ? Keep up the great work best of luck
Good video again or should I say always a good video. Personally I have landed many a double figure weed fish off the shore, not very good for eating though
Nice video I really like the sea Fishing ones. What's your take on why the cod aren't coming?. I'm thinking coastal sea temperatures. I've heard wind farm cables and food availablity.
There is a big wind farm out from Newhaven on the South Coast,we were down that way boat fishing and I couldn't believe how many there were...a metal forest !..The EMF readings must be off the scale down there underwater..I wonder if it does affect fish migrations ?
I'm aching to go beach fishing. But i need to know of an alternative way to spot bites. the old neck is defunct, and looking up is out of the question. are there any tips for one like me?
The matchmen often put the rod on the tripod looking at it sideways to the beach, for exactly that reason, they say they don't have to crane their neck upwards. All depends on wave/weed action if you keep the low though.
@@undeaddread haha not sure why that got cut off, but the box wont help when you want to eat them. turning your back on the sea helps of course... It meant to say, take a rod tip light!

I say in the film towards the start. It's at St.Audries Bay. Bristol Channel,Somerset side. I fish there as its a High water mark with minimal gear loss. About 2 hours before and 2 hours after high water. Then I can clear off into Minehead up the road and fish their low water beach mark. Sometimes works out well, not always though.
Not really too much diversity compared to say a tropical or sub tropical reef system. We get only 3 species of really big fish like the Blue,Porbeagle and Thresher shark. Then Pollack,Coalfish,Ling after which it goes to smaller species.
Graeme I was a bit astonished.I was watching the Dutch political debates last week.I'm a scouser living in Holland.I don't care much for sea fishing .coarse fishing is my thing. But getting back to this debate. They where talking about fishing, the Prof with their trawlers and then he said. The hobby fisherman is only allowed 1 sea bass above the legal measurement.I thought is it that bad?
I personally don't mind if I never have to keep another Bass I only want to catch and photograph them. I think one Bass per angler per day is fine if that's what is allowed..rules change all the time,I think it might be no Bass (In UK) at present,I don't mind as I think most shore anglers rarely even get to see one . One sizeable Bass a day would be sheer heaven for most of our beach anglers I'm sure.
