    Kevin,
    Check out Siber plastic supply. Just purchased a sheet of their 1/4" PVC Foam board. Awesome stuff !! Won't dent, break or warp, AND it matches the Tomy track perfectly. Easy to cut with a utility knife, easy to glue, sandals and you can paint it.

    Once again The Vitoman has the better idea! I got AFX with same issue. Gonna go sort through the junk drawer and find a round headed pin. Thanks. JP

    You hit the nail on the head with the rivet-gig; some of my cars started shaking like that. Cool new improvements to your track...:-)

      @@vitoman50 Yeah, just got a cheap multi-meter and figured out a LOT based on your arm-test video. Next comes the little scale so I can balance out these magnets. MAY go for a meter, but, eh I can't go too crazy... can I?

    • @vitoman50
      @vitoman50  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try to get a gause type meter to check the pull of the magnets to make sure they have the highest and equal force. Then make them .700 thousands between the 2 in the chassis, " sand the magnets" to get them in the chassis. Put something like card board or plastic sheet behind them. Make sure the paint is sanded or scraped of the edge of the arm for better magnet pull.

    another tip for those who have had the rivets come out. Just grind, file or sand down the square pad several hundredths of an inch to make the pad thinner so the rivet can be reused, then use or make a small tapered tool(a ground down or filed nail point to the shape of the dull pencil point (to the shape of a wide 'V" of course)to fit into the rivet end or a tapered end of a punch the drill the hole clean to remove debris, then replace the rivet, lay on a hard surface and carefully tap the rivet end to spread it just enough to hold to reinstall. Good luck guys.

    Use a hole-making tool to tighten the rivets. Squeeze them tight. Much easier and works great

    maybe use a piece of fun tack , folded piece of tape or even rubber cement to hold the be be on the wheel puller method.. put the sticky "thing" on the chassis to hold bee bee. or puller. A tiny finishing nail head can be used as well for chassis rivet method.

    What is the brass insert on that Red wheel press?

    • @vitoman50

      That comes with the tool so your axle will pass through when you are installing one rim and don't have a rim on the opposite side. Thanks for your question.

    Why not switch the mandrels of the two tools to tighten chassis rivets. Then you can use your sewing pin. No need to chase the BB around the table.

    • @vitoman50
      @vitoman50  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you done this? The pin on the other mandrel looks like it will be to small to work. I will try to see what will happen. Thanks for watching.

    Hi just got AFX chassis it not running at all when I put it on the tester nothing happened. It Dead do I need to change everything on it

    • @vitoman50
      @vitoman50  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gary Jones No. Do you have another chassis that you can put the armature and motor plate in? This way you can check the arm to see if I is bad. If the arm is good look to see if it could be the arm brushes, eliminate one thing at a time.

    • @garyjones4039
      @garyjones4039 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    There is a big difference between the meanings of the words "Downfall" and "Drawback". A downfall refers to the collapse of a powerful person, an establishment or a government. A drawback is a disadvantage or problem.
