    Kickass Idea of makin that track with a window in it to tune the shoes! Dan at t-Dash just made some new "Mondo" chassis with magnets built in in bottom. Same as regular IROC chassis but with magnets. Just lettin you know. More than likely you do already but if not !!!!! Thanks again for super tips n info. JP

    great info and video as usual.. To all those reading the comments and this info might be new for...This is one of the most important adjustments you should do to your car/chassis before you run them. AND!!..it is imperative that you get the exact tire you're going to run on the chassis before the adjustment(example = tire O.D. diameter installed may = .450O.D. or .454 ~ 460. ~ 466. ~ .474) Also, If you mark the shoes with a red or green marker(even black, etc) we (and Kevin) could see better in the video where it is riding on the RAILS and the/your adjustment could be seen better also perhaps. the other thing you can do of course with or without the track piece cut out is AFTER marking the shoe wear surface, to push the chassis back n forth several times to get a wear pattern on the marked shoe. also to the guys reading, Don't forget to have the least amount of spring tension but just enough for best ;ower pickupfor help in NOT DE-slotting. good video, helpful

    Nice little PU shoe jig Kevin 👍🏻 ...... I kinda do the same with a piece of track but, never cut it out ( Will Now ) just usually eye it & use the sharpie to see how it's riding. Thanks and will definitely try this technique out.

    I measured my Tomy AFX track rail height and its about .018-.025 inch on my micrometer. wonder if that's high or normal?

    • @vitoman50
      @vitoman50  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Simon Sez usually .015 to .018 is normal. I take a small wood roller (one for putting in sound barrier in a real 1-1 car) or block and push mine down. But you got to be very careful.

      All they need is tuned, just like a real car.

      @@vitoman50 why can't I get my car to run with new shoes?

      Is that what it is or is the motor brushes in weird. Check the plates the pickup shoes connect to. The contacts for the brush springs could be too loose.
