There also can be two bits of pipe that can rub against the body of the filter case and wear it down due to engine vibration one is a 4 way split plastic coolant joint which is underneath your filter case which might need adjustment And there was a part where there is this pipe that needs to be shorten and racing line does mention this I cant remember what its called but its like a breather pipe of some sort on the left hand side of the case you'll probably see it touching the case however this engine is the same set up as my seat leon cupra p1
Thanks for your comment Daijon. The breather pipes to the left of the housing, I had already swapped out with silicone pipes. And once I get my car back, I will have a look into the other you mentioned. Having extensive work carried out, in preparation for Stage 2+ tuning 😅
@@WhatThePun yeah man same here! I’m waiting on a intercooler upgrade for stage 2+ And I thought I would shout out the issue because its chewed of the paint on mine and bits of metal shown on my case But I’m top of that top video man in showing how it’s done
Not as good as I expected, was expecting better results after the custom remap. R Tech performance said performance is better with open induction kits, as it pulls more air in. So if you are planning to get a custom remap, you would get a bit more gains with the open air kits.
Hello I just install Racingline cold air intake on my Scirocco R. Unfortunately it takes my fuel consumption bit weird, takes like 3 bar on single trip around 35km. Is it normal? Or I have to re setting in maf sensor?
That sounds a bit weird Have you noticed any difference with your mpg with the cold air intake fitted? It could just be a coincidence that your consumption is weird since fitting the air intake. I found having my fuel injectors tests and inlet valve carbon cleaned, made an improvement on my consumption.
Did you have the car remapped with it fitted? To be fair, R Tech performance did say the open induction kits like the Ram Air do have better gains compared to the closed RacingLine induction kit after customer remap.
@@martindonohue66this air intake or a rtmg air intake What one would you choose out of the two? I have a scirocco and was going to buy this racingline one but debating

Been looking for a video where someone is using racingline induction kit.. looks and sounds great
The noise definitely improved A LOT with the RacingLine fitted 😃

I'm doing this at the moment! A little bit time consuming really ! 😂
How did you get on?
The most time consuming bit, was making sure everything fit nice and tight.
Hope it all went well and happy with the results too?
Just fitted and after a short drive the metal pipe is really hot is this usual?
It should be normal
As it’s absorbing the heat coming off your engine.
Yes especially at the back above the turbo, a good aftermarket heat shield reduces it
How is the performance on this kit?

Thank you for your suggestion I’ll test my car in few days and check my FC compare before I install CAI. I’ll update you later.

Had this on my VW Scirocco R and it made bugger all difference. Total waste of money basically

@@WhatThePun yep, certainly did. Was very disappointing from my point of view.
