I change the oil 2 times a year, once just after winter and once in the summer. A bit excess compared to the manufacturers recommendation 😅 But keeps the car running on clean oil in my opinion

The “really” 330 units are more expensive as they should be the ones made for Volkswagen in China. Usually allows the ability to upgrade the firmware when updates are available too. What I understand is the 360 is a cheaper copy of the 330. Slight differences to the software and physical features. BUT, most users really won’t be able to tell the difference. FYI they both have inbuilt Bluetooth. Hope this helps?

Thanks for checking out my video I’m also surprised how long this has lasted too, since uploading this video. I was expecting it to wear away or some bits of it to chip off from everyday driving. But it still looks just as good as the day I applied it. But yeah you are right, they do other products to give it a different finish.

Bit frustrating not being able to remove just 1 screw! Really didn’t want to drill it out, but that turned out to be the best solution. Without applying heat 🔥😅

@@WhatThePun I couldn't get one of the Carrier bolts off and soaked it - overnight then used my breaker bar and got it in the end, I also had to drill out my disc holding bolts, copper greesed the new ones and didn't tighten them stupidly.

@ the things we do to save money.. inflicting pain and stress to ourselves 😂 I have the rears to look forward to next 😅

@@WhatThePun - I did them too, they are easier "WHEN" the disc location screws come out - Will send you some pic on Insta

I've read the spark plugs for 1.5 tsi is recommended approx 30k-40k or maybe 6 years (depending on which comes first). I changed mine, as the car was already over 40k.

Very good eyes there! 😎 I’m in 2 minds whether to retrofit it or not, the sensible human in me tells me I won’t drive the car enough. Only once or twice a year, therefore to not bother. The other part of me is saying, I would have so much fun the few times of the year that I would be driving this car 😂

@@WhatThePun I totally get that - I wouldn't see it as a waste though. The buttons will only set you back £40-£50 I think I got mine from ALi Express or eBay and they worked perfectly. Little things like that really help the interior look, just like when you changed the trim to silver. Also, extra content for the channel ;)

You may find the answer on AutoIDs website. And the distance would vary depending on if you got lowering springs or coil overs on the car too. 🤷‍♂️

Good question Phil has RacingLine lowering springs fitted With the Zaero kit, he’s not come across any scraping yet with the speed bumps he’s come across so far.

Good idea But I didn’t want to spray the grill 😅 Only the chrome/surround. I was too lazy to remove the chrome surround though, too much effort.

As far as I understand the position is different between a mk6 GTI and mk6 R. Therefore the DV position should be similar to the mk7 GTI, which may be in the area where the intake hose connects to the engine. Somewhere in that location.

I still have it Just not much content to do on it now The plan is to tidy it up a bit next year, and prep it for sale in the summer.

There was no turning back when I decided to butcher the old one And also snip the brake line wires 😂 I really had to find a way to finish it. There was already some sealant on the old one, but on the top clips for some reason 🤷‍♂️ Glad I won’t have to do this again…. 👀
