Yooo when the plugs are white it means it’s been running lean and when there black there running rich your welcome happy to help you love watching miss my mk5 gti !!
From what I could make out after talking to tuners it flows no better than other intakes. What Revo nailed was the MAF scaling so it's the easiest for them to work with.
Im curious to know what would happen if you just remove the stock filter housing and connect a the con filter to the original hole on the original engine cover…
it's litery my setup at the moment keepd the housing just removed the filter. i have induction noises like a full induction kit but a little bit less noise (suits me) and the good thing it's that it doesn't suck warm air since i put the cone just in front of the admission intake! i had installed a full induction kit before but loss power, it was caused from the warm air intake engine side and heating of the pipe by the engine itself.. dont regret taking it off! maybe a give it another try after building 2 heatshield to protect (the best i can) the pipes and filter from the heat!
Before you swapped in the revo intake, and to "prove" it is (as said) to be "one of the best," it would've been appropriate to run data logs to show the mass air g/s reported from both before and after. But also to report adjusted long term fuel trims for both before and after. I've seen LTFT partial/off-idle for the REVO intake go up on average to +10%, and with not showing much change in the mass air volume in data runs done in: the same gear, same beginning and end revs, same road, and near identical ambient conditions. So to set hearsay aside and provide real differences. But if the ultimate goal is for it to "sound good," then none of this matters.
Seems you know a lot can I make you a question ? I bought a project Gti mk5 it came with an APR carbonio intake system, is that better than this or what’s the main difference?
@@teolarrea The APR intake, the older one that retains the original engine cover, should be perfectly fine until a turbo, bigger than a K04, is mounted and it is tuned. Should see no more than ±8% (more likely to be on the '+' side) fuel trim adjustments with it; when well tuned with both a K03 or K04. You could use a performance drop-in air filter or just always have a clean OE filter in the cover. They did come out with another intake with a full tube, eliminating the OE 'engine cover/air filter housing'...but I am unfamiliar with results for it.
@@Roh_Echt that’s my setup, the old Apr intake and a K04 turbo, dyno tuned and my car is doing 360hp, I’m new into this, but seems that I’m doing something good, next mod will be oil pump conversion. Thanks a lot !
i like that the noise pipe get directed into the intake to make up for the loss of boost thats neat

Anything to do with running tuned on standard plugs?
Worth a try mate , BKR7EIX should do the job fine even for stage 2+ c
Most of the time they will be pretty lean looking due to emissions

Any air flow fuel attention will come down to the tune afterwards. All the bolt on going to be about the same no matter what

Where do you get 2nd has induction kits mate? Looking for one for 8p 2011 2l TFSI
Be worth changing the oil dip stick for the revised yellow one as the seal on the stock one fails
Someone else has said this, definitely on the list!
This wouldn’t happen to have anything to do with oil pressure would it?
@@JoshiBoy19 yeah it does sometimes

Great video thanks man. When is the next one out?!

@@matimcfetridge good stuff man thanks. Give me first refusal when it comes for sale 👍🏻👍🏻
Oh would remove that dfb valve you have fitted, these are ment to vent internal and not to external
If the car hasn't had an inlet valve decoke walnut blast, that's your issue with your misfire issue.
Quite a few people have said this so it’s definitely something I’m looking to book in for😂
Whens the Polo videos coming back! :)
