На любом нормальном чпу можно так делать, но выбирать медь гравером 0.1 или 0.2 - это дохрена ЧАСОВ, имейте в виду. Ролик писать - это одно, а жужжать 5-6 часов даже для небольшой платки немного другое ) если под dip компоненты и гравер 0.5 справляется по точности - сойдет, гораздо быстрее. Ну а так прикольно конечно, я делал несколько платок на чпу - и гравирует и дырявит и отпиливает, только инструмент меняй (вот бы еще автомат смены инструмента недорогое маленький придумать), дырявить и выпиливать по контуру можно одной фрезой-кукурузой 0.8-0.9, т.е. два инструмента достаточно, но если smd и тонкие дорожки лучше основную выборку меди делать толстым гравером ~0.5, а сами дорожки гравером 0.1-0.2 - это все можно, но возни больше. Возни вообще много с этим способом, ну т.е. много личного времении уходит на подготовку годного g-кода со сканом поверхности, резом и т.п. даже без учета времени работы станка, одну платку быстрее лутом сделать и дисковой пилой выпилить.

As cool as it is to see a machine purpose built for PCB milling, you can get similar results from a cheap little desktop CNC router. This machine is probably aimed at small businesses, but for a hobbyist or DIY'er you can save a lot of money with other options.

Very satisfying watch and listen. Tin plating was very neat, not a step I've done before. Would be cool if you could do PTH.

Really nice video.. I love the concept of going through different processes to make the final product. Definitely would be a nice machine to have in a dream workshop. A couple of questions: How much calibration is required and maintenance?
price is too steep to be used only for prototyping. cheaper desktop cnc does almost the same job at 1/10th of the price, may not be precise as this one but for proto typing its feasible. my local vender too does it in just 2 days
I think the point is that there isn’t a machine that can prototype this precisely for the same cost…

what program do you use to convert the gerber PCB files to G code so that the milling machine can mill the PCBs??
I am using KiCad to develop circuit/pcbs, but after that.. I cant export the gerber files to the milling machine.. I cant find any good information about how to do that, I miss a nice step by step tutorial on from the beginning to the end.
Hope you can provide me some good information! Really nice robots and project though! awesome!

Probably to proove the point of ambiguity of tools and precision which tobbe honest is impressive just looking at the solder mask removal without taking of the copper from the pads.

You can have the pcb within a few hours.
Usually, I order my pcbs, but sometimes I need a pcb NOW. Then it is great, if you have everything needed at home. I do not own a milling machine, I'm using toner transfer and etching.
How do you drill all the holes. Do you have a cheap CNC for this job
@@waynehawkins654 No, I drill them by using a Dremel. You need high RPM for drilling FR-4.

I think that all plastic parts can be printed on 3D-printer. It can be hard to cut PCB so precisely without CNC machine, so, maybe, it will be better to redesign the case for fixing all parts with screws. Or place all parts to the square corrugated cardboard with thermoglue )

even small companies often have 5-6 figures out equipment easily. A few thousand is hobbyist level.
Yes, i agree but these companies are breaking the barriers of having a milling machine for a hobby consumer market. This cnc is still cheaper than it;s competitor V-One made by Voltera. Eventually in the future we will buy them like 3D printers

@onwestbury92 he's right, i got this machine 4 years ago, it was constantly breaking bits, doing multiple runs, annoying sound. We just threw it in attic and use pcbway or jlcpcb. It was company's money so 😊
