Thank you.
One of my favorite things about DIY Details videos is the music selection. Especially like rhe 1st track. Makes the viewing experience that much more pleasant.

Great job Sylvie and Yvan
Thank you.
I'm glad I watched this video I used hydro. Lite on my car, this Memorial Day weekend here in the states. And I'm so happy with the performance. I've been watching your videos and PAN. The organizer videos. And I learned exactly how to coat a car and wash it properly. Thank you for all you guys do. And i'm glad I caught the fact that you can use panel prep on your rims. That's the one thing I didn't do
Thank you.
Sempre fantastici, non vedo l'ora che iniziate a vendere i vostri prodotti anche in Italia 👏👏👏👏
Soon, watch this list

Looking forward to using the App and Hydro Lite on my car this weekend!!
Have fun!
Can we get a diy detail razer and shaving cream? Lol. Every diy product works extremely well I couldn't imagine how awesome life would be with a diy product for everything!
Maybe one day!
APP is one product I know nothing about. I needed this. Thanks guys!!
Our pleasure!
Awesome job you too. The gloss is amazing!
Thank you! Cheers!
Have you guys done a video where you use every DIY product to detail a vehicle? Would be a great video to see! Hardly see any content like that from brands with expanded product lines.
I’d like to see C6 sell all the DIY chemicals in concentration focused for businesses in the c6 line. Rebranding the chemicals to c6 just as the concentrated versions. Some businesses may not want to buy it if it says DIY on it
No, that would be wasteful to do.
Very informative video on how to apply the app. Paint looks great! Ready to order with the red pad. Is it possible that the cerakote coating can be applied over the app? I still have a few bottles here.
Any coating will benefit from using C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP)
Yep. I had a similar thing happen to me.
Thank you.
Just purchased c6 hydro lite for my truck. Can’t wait to get it coated. Can I also use it on the plastics trim and hard tonneau cover?
Yes
Do you have too dispose of the towels after using the product. Thanks
Hey DIY team, thats a funny little polisher, 3mm you say? Never seen one of those, I've got a 9mm one, the App is here in Poland, waiting for the C6 Hydro Lite, if it's affordable I will try it out. Great job team Ivan and Sylvie, the paint really pops!
Yea with this product if you over work the ingredients it breaks down the protection built in and hardens so it’s tuff to get off. 3 MM sanders or a 8-9 mm DA will work but don’t buff with it. Just use it to apply it. That’s how I understand the tiny sander machine analogy. Also what is affordable to you? It’s $300 here, and I find that affordable
@@Greg_P611 hmm for me it's kinda steep but if it offers realy good durable protection (i realy mean ,,realy" :) then it's value its for me instantly higher as a coating, many factors come into a good coating but im hearing great things so far :) We just have a shipment of DIY coatings 3,5,8 yr ones so im thinking ill try the 3 or 5 yr on my daily, but no C6 yet. Thank you for your anwser, ill try this with my APP, wonder if it can be used before applying the standard line of DIY coatings and if it adds into the durability of them.
@@victoryensured7137 your welcome. You can’t go wrong with any of them honestly. Yvan said yes it can be used to keep the surface for any nano coating
The C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) can be used with your 9mm machine, also it can be used with any coating
@@diydetailofficial Thank you very much for input! I will try it!
I have a question, say I missed a spot on the hood when polishing. It’s a scratched up water deposit. The deposit was removed in prep with the diy waterspot remover but I used some pressure to get it off and i put some light scratches in the clear coat. I needed to 5,5,5 it but I missed it, batteries died in my inspection light, and coated over it with the hydro lite. Silver dollar size area on hood. Can it be polished and re coated in that spot or does the whole hood need to be polished and re coated? I have more than half a bottle leftover, on the cx5 small suv. Thanks.
You can spot correct and coat
Great video as usual guys, for the wheels I can use panel prep instead of the APP before applying hydrolite?
Yes
Is it possible to show a table with the different temperatures and humidity and the different time to wait for the wipe off for the C6 light and pro coatings?
It would be too varied, how much is on the applicator is also a factor. This is something you need to develop an eye and feel for.
Thanks 😊
I just applied C6 Hydro Lite. Came out great after getting the right amount on the paint. Do you need to use gloves also for APP?
It’s a good idea
One more question, after a proper install of c6 hydro lite, after the first hour, does it help to bake it in the sun, or should than be avoided, or makes no difference? Some coatings require uv and or heat to cure. Thanks.
It doesn’t hurt
I paint corrected a 2009 Dodge Challenger RT after removing the hood stripes and dual side stripes. Owner installing new matte black vinyl stripes, then coming back for 5/3 stack. Do I ceramic coat over the matte vinyl and wipe off right away like you did on the matte vehicle video or ? Thank you DIY Rocks!
Yes
Any plan on launching a Hydro lite kit? (with smaller size APP, gold standard, panel prep, red pad and applicator)
Really wanna put hydro lite on my car, but as a weekend warrior, I don’t need to use APP and gold standard very often. 🙏🏻
Yes it’s in the pipeline
Impressive compounds and coatings! And I heard a rumor you're working on a wax..?
Correct
How do you get rid of the high spots?
Hand polish with a MF towel
Why not use a rotary polisher on low speed to apply the APP?
th-cam.com/video/7LQzPtk33LU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=d3Qo3q3OsvaYkqic
Does APP works with a polisher like saker with a 9mm throw and whats the speed i should use?
Yes, low speed
@@diydetailofficial how many opm?
At what speed do you like working that phendo sander?
Do we need to adjust anything with app application when working with really finicky clear?
I believe and recently used speed 3 on the sander. You need to remove the brake off the sander for better results. Just remove the backing plate and pull off the black rubber o-ring/gasket. That way it spins nicer.
Speed 3 , no adjustments needed.
Salut Yvan,
Est-ce que tu recommande de mettre céramique coating sur les vitres de douche?
Oui, juste pas le plancher
Hi guys, if I order the Iron Remover will I get the new version? Thanks
Yes
Ready
Thank you.
Set, Go
I have a RUPES Mille gear driven polisher with 5mm orbit. The RPM ranges from 265-535 which translates to an OPM of 3710-7490. What is the ideal OPM for a 5mm machine when applying APP?
Is there ever any situation where you would want to let the APP sit on the surface for a minimum amount of time (say temps in the 50s?)
The Mille at 5000 OPM is great. There’s no benefit to allowing the C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) to sit.
@@diydetailofficial that's about speed 2.5 to 3. Thanks!
I have the Bauer 5in random orbital sander, it says it has a 3/32" orbit which works it to 2.4mm. Is that too little to work with the App? Would I need to work out longer or do anything different?
That’s perfect
What's the best way to remove an old coating waxes etc. Thanks again
Polishing
In the past you have discussed the importance of choosing a polish without hydrocarbon solvents because they swell the paint. How is that different than APP which too swells the paint? Might have something in my understanding wrong but always wanting to learn!
C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) swells the paint without filling the pores of the paint like solvents.
@@diydetailofficial thank you!
Is there a problem in using the same towels to level the window ceramic and the C6 Ceramics Hydro Lite? Or should a new set of towels be used for these? Also, can the applicator sponge be left in Rincless Wash for a few hours, then dried, and then re-used a few weeks (or more) later for another coating job?
Same towels are fine.
What work platform are you using? Looks a lot wider than ones I've looked at.
It’s a Gorilla
Is there a time frame on the app? Can i polish or use app and then coat next morn? Or do i have a window like the stack
Up to 48 hours
Before i go buy another machine is my old school porter cable good for the app? How do i find out the throw on a polisher!!
Yes the PC is perfect at 8mm
@@diydetailofficial awesome
@diydetailofficial thats good now cause I purchased the diy da!! Can't wait ro get that monster to work
Hey Yvan. For ultimate protection, would you ceramic coat a car and then add PPF after? Or would it not make sense to do a ceramic coat if you're going to do PPF anyway?
Ceramic Coating after PPF
@@diydetailofficial Thank you!
Do you guys have a rough estimate on a day/week for the restock of your drying blanket?
Late this week, or early next week
Hello and greetings from germany!
Today i ordered the 5 Y coating from the Shop in netherlands. I want to apply it on my own car. I don't have a garage so the car is 24/7 outside.
By no washing for minimum seven days what's the best to remove possible bird-bombs?
DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash
@@diydetailofficial ok👍 and thx for quick answering
If working alone, should you wipe off app before it dries like you teach when using panel prep or is it not as critical?
Nevermind, I watched the rest of the video 😆 glad you answered the question in the video. Love your teaching and demonstrations.
Thank you.
What do you do with the applicator when you’re done?
Dunk it in your wash bucket for 15 minutes
Is the C6 APP primarily intended for plastic substrates?
Everything on the exterior except bare metal and rubber
I’m trying to finish up my Dr. Beasley’s NSP polishes then I’m going to try APP. I just would like to know if it has the same or similar qualities as the Dr. Beasley’s stuff. They say that it primes the surface by putting down anchor points on the surface for the ceramic to adhere to. It also has some nano ceramic particles in the formula that helps do this. Is APP similar? I already understand the swelling that it does, but it also has some ceramic family materials in it also. Yvan can you give me the geek out semi scientific information about it please? Thanks
th-cam.com/video/7LQzPtk33LU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=d3Qo3q3OsvaYkqic
@@diydetailofficial I still can’t get the answers I’m looking for. Sorry Yvan If I’m being a pain I just really want to know the answers to what I asked in the previous comment I made
Ask your question another way, as the above video replies to your original question, or ask in the facebook group bit.ly/DIYDetailFacebookGroup
Which 5mm DA are you using in your video to apply the APP? Thanks
Yvan might respond but it looks like a Mirka sander. If it is they're not cheap.
@@andrewkennedy9704 Thanks! Yea not cheap at all!
Its not a mirka its a 5mm da they found on Amazon
@@veils1de350z i looked there but I didn't see it.

Could i use the app with diy coatings as well
Yes , any coating
@@diydetailofficial ok perfect
@@diydetailofficial Thanks because i finally have a high end customer with a BMW sports car. It will work with german paint . Will gold standard polish work with these types of paints snd other high end cars ? Different pressure points on softer paint?
@@diydetailofficial what about Mercedes, porche, lambo spyder?
Yes, what speed? 😎

OK, So this GLASS COATING Is ($130.00 For An Ounce), #1). How many Windows will this Coat, on Average? #2). Is this stuff any Better than the Other Expensive Product's Out there. Like GTechniq EXO V5 Crystal Serum Ceramic Kit, & P & S VUE Inspiration Glass Coating, CCI Glass Coating. I actually have not tried anything this Expensive due to #1 the Cost and #2 How LONG will it Last? I get that it Varies, I understand that totally, It just seem awfully Expensive to just "TRY IT OUT"? Looks Awesome, No Doubt. Project Farm did some good comparison's, but this product was not in the MIX, and the Old Tried and True RainX was right on top and was $10 a Bottle. Just Curious. I understand that Cheap ain't Good and GOOD AIN'T CHEAP scenario totally.
We get on average 8-12 vehicles from a bottle. From an engineering standpoint, C6 Ceramics Hydro Glass is the highest technology possible. As you mentioned, durability is up to the user.
