Oh boy I can’t wait to see Sylvie give Yvan some tips on improving his polishing skills👀👍🤗🤗🤗🤗
You won’t be disappointed
Great video. I'm 61 and getting into detailing.
@@kennythomsonjr5553that's great and remember to have fun with it
Nice job as usual guys,I heard a comment about age I just turned 70 and still detail all three of my vehicles. DIY products make it easy...
That is awesome!
Sylvie is funny! Great addition. Asking our questions for us.
Thanks for watching!
It’s not very easy for me but I try to doing my best
Love the idea of using a ratchet strap to hold a hatch in position to polish!
Thank you.
Love the Sylvie intro!
Thank you.
The duo of diy! Great vid ☺
Thank you.
My son gave me a Milwaukee M18 Rotary for Father’s Day! Man I’m loving this tool!
That is awesome!
Good son!
Nice polisher. Teach him the skills if he doesn’t already know. I keep getting the urge to polish something. Looking at my cat.🤣
Impressive work!!! Sylvie is great!!! I’m really enjoying seeing her in these videos!!!! I’m so excited to give my DIY rotary and red pad a try!!!
Yay! Thank you!
The rotary and the red jeweling pad it’s a perfect combination of course with the pad washer and the gold standard system
Turned out beautiful. Nice job team.
Thank you!
Sylvie sure can swing that rotary for a great gloss! Such a wholesome vid! Keep it up!
P.s. Please for the love of God don't change the rinsless to much, or keep both versions in stock (if ceramic infused) I love that it leaves a bare surface and that it cleans my Legacy sponge - used a lot of Absolute in my days and the polymer build-up is crazy meh!
No worry, it’s just better, without major changes
@@diydetailofficial You guys just rock
Great video with lots of rotary/DA time. Nice to watch ur technique as u go. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
I know that I’ve commented this on another platform, but the Gold Standard system paired with the pad washer is seriously such a game changer. Used the pad washer for the first time last weekend and each time I went to it, the pad was perfectly clean. I may not get much use out of it but honestly money well spent.
Also, love Slyvie being in the videos, she is such a joy to watch!
Thank you.
Need to pick me up a rotary. Solid and useful machine
Definitely!
I want one too...
❤❤❤great video u both keep it up stay bless
Thank you! You too!
What a team. 🇨🇦👍👍
Thank you.
merci ces un plaisir de vous voir !
Merci à vous 😊
Merci de regarder
Another awesome video you two! Sylvie, you have a great eye for detail and know how to get the job done correctly. It was great to see you again! My 4th order from DIY showed up today, Legacy sponge, in RW kit, Gold standard kit, and other brushes! DIY Detail ROCKS!
Thank you so much!

Sylvie: i see you now😂😂😂
Yes!
Ready
Thank you.
Yvan I just started finishing out my Polish’s with the DIY red jeweling pad on my 5 inch rotary. I can’t believe all this time I thought I was getting the best I could as far as gloss. No way was I. It’s a night and day difference for me. The nice part is I don’t have to wipe off my polish I used from the cut. Just use what’s there (add a little to my pad) and finish it out
Perfect!
I need to date a detailer 😊
You should!
Great job, thanks…
Thanks for watching!
@@diydetailofficial Question, Can I Rinseless wash with only a hose and foam sprayer? Which video explains this I can’t seem to find but thought it was mentioned in one.

Won't the coating bong with the wiper blades since they touched the coating while curing? Also the ratchet strap was such great idea, thanks for the secret!!!
The coating is dry to the touch in seconds
@@diydetailofficial Oh I understand. Thank you very much!!
Il do all the work and you tell me what i miss. You do what you do best . Answer people’s questions! I don’t mind at all.
Thank you.
I finally got around to use my detail gold standard polish ,I could not believe the difference ….I used the Rotary in slow speed as Yvan states in his videos ,,,,I could watch rotary polishing videos all day long….
Thank you.
I’d love to see a video on prep, polish and coat a vehicle that has ppf. Not sure which products can be used, which should be avoided and best practices when dealing with ppf. Thanks!
No different than paint with the exception of no heavy polishing
What speed are you using on the Rotary? Looks awesome! I’m buying yours soon

When do you anticipate the DIY rotary being back in stock for sale? Thanks for the great videos and products!

Happy 4th of July Eve everyone!
Thank you.
You did such a great job showing how its done the professional way. Sylvie really went to town on the rotary. Good job! Could i come over and do a car with you to do the same process. A to z just me and you? Would love it very much. I would learn so much more! I really hope its possible. Thank you.
Eventually
Where do you live ?
@@Yessolution37 30m away . Bedford. Would love to spend some time learning techniques!
Let me know from Wednesday-Saturday. Im able to come any of those days of the week ! 😊
Hi guys, is the c6 Hydro glass available in Australia? I don’t see it at carcareco. Thanks Clint
On its way
I have often heard you mention you use the rotary to finish and DA to cut. Would the rotary not work with the wool pad (or yellow one for that matter) to remove the etching in this case? I just got your rotary with the gold standard polish and pads and been practicing and so far love the whole system!
Yes, but doesn’t cut as effectively as a DA.
@@diydetailofficial Thank you!
Can you use gold standard polish on ppf? I don't want to buy another product to polish my hood.
Yes
Need a lighting plan for standard 2 car garage. Temp of lights how many and where to place them.
6000-6500k, as many as you can afford.
@@diydetailofficial ty
When do you use the DA machine and when the Rotary for polishing?
DA for fast material removal, rotary for fine finishing.
When will you get the rotary back in stock?
Next week
I have a question, do i need to clean and dmp my pads after every section ? Or i just need to damp at the beginning and cleaning at the end ? Thankyu
Yes every panel or before to put new polish on your pad never put a new polish on a dirty pad
Was all hyped for July 4 sale... But no shipping to Hawaii 😢
We have a distributor in Hawaii diydetail.com/pages/distributors
Is it possible to use your 6in jeweling pad on a polisher with a 7in backing plate? The reason I'm asking is because it seems all the budget rotary polishers only come with a 7in backing plate.
You can purchase backing plates of different diameters.
Would the wool pad on the rotary polisher get rid of the bird etching?
It gets rid of the clear coat around the etching down to the level of the etching.
Kinda off topic, but which kneeling rolling stool are you using?
A prototype I’m working on
@@diydetailofficial Thank you.
Is there a too slow rpm for jeweling with the rotary? My cordless SPTA rotary has settings 1-6-max and states that it will do 380-1600 Rpm.
380 is great
Hi Yvan. I noticed that you polished the windows of the car in this video but I've heard you talk in the past and say that you can't polish windows to remove scratches as the heat could cause the window to crack if I understand correctly. Do you mind please clarifying this to me please.
This wasn’t polishing to remove scratches, just to deep clean. Glass polishing requires a rayon or felt pad with cerium oxide, that combination creates a lot of heat.
@@diydetailofficial I see, meaning that it's not possible to remove scratches from windows, the only thing you can do is to replace the whole window as you have said in the past right?
Refresh my memory! What is the 5,5,5 method?
Speed 5
5 pounds of pressure
5 seconds

@@kirkwilson5900in fresh pad ( prep in the pad washer and one spray of polish)
@Yessolution37 yes, love the pad washer. It works well when you need to dampen a towel too for wipe off! I use it for that if I don't have a bucket of rinseless, I like that better cuz you get fresh solution every time you push down👍
If i dont have a rotary yet, should i not even try using the jeweling pad i already brought?
@@lamonzoscott2593 yes
Yvan, is this your new vehicle???
No
Why not leave the wiper up trough the hole C6 Glass coating process
You can, force of habit
Alright guys I gotta little bone to pick with yall. Definitely need videos on how in the sam he'll is someone suppose to see what's going on with polishes on a tacoma silver !!! Errrrr!! Can't see shit. Have my hood in the shade nosed into my garage and can't really see what's happing like I need to be with my first rotary work!!! Think God I stayed on the mild side of pads and polishes or I could have possible ucked things up
Silver and white are by far the most difficult to deal with
Je pensais que c'était votre nouveau véhicule à toi et Sylvie
Non, pas à nous
how often can you polish a vehicle ?
It depends on the aggression of the polishing. Less is best
the swirls are still there. how am I seeing this on a video and you can’t see it IRL. lol
The customer didn’t see them to begin with, preservation over perfection.
That vehicle is full of orange peel from factory.. factories don't spray some cars very well..
Orange peel is designed in.
@@diydetailofficial naah I've seen better flawless cars. Even out here with Japanese ones..
@@omarstephenson8967 some are, some aren’t, it’s each manufacturing facility that programs in the level of orange peel desired.
Someone new doing the editing? Seems a little choppy now
No
Come on, get that plate off there. I know, it’s another thing that could go wrong putting it back.
What plate?
