@@azungu1190 You might have known this already but there is a latitude system where you can go to other climates, like deserts and rainforests near the equator, as well as no seasons there, and up in the poles 6 month days and 6 month nights
i just gotta say, your videos are so comforting, like sitting in front of a window with a bunch of blankets during a rainy day. they never fail to put a smile on my face :D
I stumbled across this awesome game a few days ago and have been struggling to find a playthrough I enjoy until I found your channel. Your personality and editing is perfect. I'm loving it! I normally don't like videos with a lot of cuts, but you time them perfectly. Thank you and continue the awesome work.....PLEASE! lol
When you didn't make a second chisel before breaking down your anvil, I sat there going, "oh no. Oh no!" Loving the editing, by the way! Out of curiosity, how long do you take editing each episode?
LOL! I realized too late! I needed an anvil to make a chisel to break my anvil, then I needed another anvil to make another chisel… 😅 Editing takes a long time. I haven’t counted hours, but usually it takes several days. Many hours cutting, then fine cutting, then polishing the audio, choosing which music tracks to use, etc. I blame this blasted series, my passion project, for throwing off my regular upload schedule 😂
@@azungu1190 Haha alright it sounds like we're in the same boat with the editing process! Definitely a challenge to keep to a regular upload schedule while putting so much care into each video lol
The study looks so cozy! I think the decorated acacia blocks are going to make an absolutely gorgeous desk in the future, and I'm excited to see you use it for your mini-series. I don't know too much about the lore of Vintage Story and would love to watch you delve into it! ☺
If you know how, you can actually utilize lava to make basalt. It's fiddly and complicated to make work. I remember seeing someone, but I don't remember who it was, made sort of basalt generator. I've tried it in creative, but as I said it's difficult. You need to ensure that your lava source doesn't get into direct contact with water at any point, because otherwise it just turns to stone. I think it might be also possible to make obsidian with it, but I'm not 100% sure about that actually. There is a mod to give health bars for mobs called Extra Overlays is you want that. In regards to smithing, if you dislike your excess metal going to waste when smithing tools, there is a mod to recover the metal bits from smithing and chiseling down broken tools to get metal bits. It doesn't however give metal bits from smithing ironblooms into ingots. The mod is called Anvil Metal Recovery by Melchior. It works even with current version of game even though it hasn't been updated in quite a while. That chandelier you got? That the best light source of the game once you've gotten it fully kitted with candles. Can actually make scrolls racks yourself to store your tuning cylinders in it. There are blackguard shield and sword to go with the armor, but I'm not sure if they can be only crafted by blackguard if you have the class recipe thing on.
Oh I didn’t know I could store my tuning cylinders on scroll racks! That’s neat. I’ll have to get more candles to light up my chandeliers. Thanks for the tips!
Hey Azungu! Just wanted to say I really love the playthrough and your commentaries. Very fun to watch, and pulled me over the edge to buy this game for myself 😁 Looking forward for more! ❤
A tip for you: don't bother making iron blooms ahead of time. When you need iron, fire a bloomery, sleep, break the bloomery, now you have iron blooms at 800°C which takes a lot less effort to heat up in a forge than cold ones. In low numbers, you can work them directly even.
If im not mistaken, you can use lava to make basalt. Not sure about how to set it up but i know it can be done.
Really enjoying this series! Keep up the great work!
Thanks!
Mee too

@@Istealtoast oh that’s interesting, I’ll look into that. If I can find acacia with that, that would be sick!

Oh good idea
Your pronunciation of molybdochalkas was better lol. Passable enough i wont try to correct further XD but the molyb lanterns are my favorite.
Didn't he already find the top half of the tapestry in a ruin in a past episode ❤
I found the tapestry in two pieces, but the top half was rotten and just fell apart when I broke it.
alright, numba 10
We’re in the double digits, folks!
if you are struggling to find limestone you can use powdered borax instead, in my last game i just could not find limestone.
Did you not find a music box in one of the episodes before?
Yes, it’s on the floor by one of my chests in the study
27:05 I can’t spell 😆
next time you get gems, gold and/or silver try to see if you can make some items out of them...
I got an idea for your armer stand. you could call him arthur
Do you have to drink in Vintage story?
No, but there’s a mod that introduces hydration
