    You can use the tin you have to make a anvil. It will permit you to skip bronze almost entirely and start your iron age. You already have all the materials you need.

      Oh you’re right! I only used 2 nuggets, 10 units, for a tool of 100 units… so really I only need 18 nuggets of tin to alloy with copper for a 900 unit anvil. Thanks for pointing that out! That would polish off my tin though, and I think I need a bronze hammer to forge iron… maybe I can pan for more tin.

      Youll need a bronze anvil to make an iron anvil so not really skipping bronze entirely. Youll need borax to make it tho iirc. Need the binding agent for the top and bottom half of iron anvil.

      @@azungu1190 The material of the hammer doesn't matter, any hammer works equally well. Given that you have located a decent vein of iron, i'd say that prioritizing iron-working is probably in order since finding tin is often challenging. And there's nothing you can make out of bronze that isn't almost as good made of copper

    Tip: You repair clothing by clicking on it with the Sewing kit (best), linen, or twine. Placing it in the crafting grid doesn't work.

    Letting your stability drop to zero doesn't start a temporal storm, but being at low enough stability to take damage also means that dangerous drifters can spawn around you without warning - much like they would in a storm. Double-headed drifters will not spawn, but others can.

  • @dittymargoo

    I love it! Your feeling of the house looking top heavy was correct, but pretty much how it was in reality. Either way it's great. Repairs are done by clicking the cloth etc over your piece of clothing while your clothing is still on you, it should show a percentage of repair as well. That was a lucky fall into the iron age too!

    My favorite part of this one was when you said "I've made a mis-🎶take🎶" somewhere in the video, Ive watched it twice and still could not find the timestamp for it lol.
    I have seen some "Mideival Stlye" builds that are top heavy on purpose. I tried to find some realworld examples but did not see many that were not a drawing or game build. It seems you've already made your decision lol but this view enjoyed the dimension that a larger upper floor added to the build.
    Great work and looking forward to your next project in VIntage Story!

    • @azungu1190
      @azungu1190  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      LOL that was when I was forging spearheads. I don’t remember the timestamp either 😂
      I’m honestly torn, I could switch the foundation back to the way it was, I just can’t decide which I prefer. I like the current version better, but the previous setup looked closer to the style I was going for.

    • @HeavenOriented
      @HeavenOriented 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@azungu1190 I think the current style matches the barn though! Personally, I liked the top heaviness and the fact that it was a bit larger, the supports were a great addition to the game and the build. It still looks great either way!
      Maybe flip a coin 😅 at least you’d find out which one you like more because if “heads” is not the one you want you will just switch to “tails” anyway!
      Even if it may not be realistic having the structure larger on the top, that is one of the best parts of the fact of it being a game. Floating blocks and glitchy bouncing entities are the essence of a great gaming session 😂 Cant wait to see your next build! 👍

    I do like the wood finish on the exterior of the house. If you are worried about the bottom flower looking too box-like, I suggest making plant boxes. If you use the plant boxes or just plant flowers around the house, it might look more homie or cottage-core, if that's what you are going for.

    Personally I like the top heavy overhang on the house. Looks more like actual medieval commoner architecture with the stone cellar and overhanging wooden living area/superstructure. Either way, really love how it came together! Looks great! Seal up your wine again to turn it into vinegar which is good for pickling vegetables.

    Do you have a bronze hammer and anvil? You need those to begin working with iron as well as fire clay bricks for bloomeries. Also there are chimney top blocks you can craft out of blue or fire clay bricks but there are purely cosmetic with a lit one that emits smoke available only in creative.
