The V6 Offshore 300's can be tuned up to 332hp. You may see an increase of 1-2 MPH and a 10-20% increase in fuel economy. If it is worth it is really up to you sir. With increased fuel economy the tune generally pays for itself in 100 hours of use, and after that you will reap the benefits of lower fuel consumption for as long as you have the motor. This increased fuel economy put differently will increase your range on a single tank by the same percentage. It is likely something mechanical that is causing the ECU to enter Limp mode. we would recommend that you take your engine in for a scan to figure out the issue, a tune will not fix the problem.

If you are looking to squeeze every last ounce of power out of your engine, the tune is a good fit for you, but if you are expecting the tune to knock your socks off, I would say you will be underwhelmed. My 60 Yamaha 4 stroke engine cannot run over. 2000 rpm....it will shut down instantly, could that be an ECU problem?
