What does Tuning do to the fuel consumption? I have to assume you’re increasing the fuel load on the engine to help get that extra power. I know from experience in tuning motorcycles though, I really didn’t see a drop in mileage unless I spent a lot of time in the higher Revs, so I’m curious about marine engines.

@4:04 they address it that question. Engine with more torque doesn't have to work as hard and you cruise at a lower RPM consuming less fuel.
