Tampa Marine Tuning is a boat service provider that has been in business since 2020. We specialize in Yamaha outboard tuning, and can help you add up to 130hp to your motor with less fuel consumption. We are a licensed Nizpro dealer, and our team of engine calibration experts has the experience and knowledge to get the job done right. I know it's impossible to really know without testing, but I have a 200 SHO and with my current Yamaha Saltwater II prop I WOT around 5300-5400 RPM. In a case like this where the current RPMs are quite a bit lower than engine max, with your tune do you think I could keep my current prop?
Does tuning impact the manufacturer’s warranty?
What does Tuning do to the fuel consumption? I have to assume you’re increasing the fuel load on the engine to help get that extra power. I know from experience in tuning motorcycles though, I really didn’t see a drop in mileage unless I spent a lot of time in the higher Revs, so I’m curious about marine engines.
@4:04 they address it that question. Engine with more torque doesn't have to work as hard and you cruise at a lower RPM consuming less fuel.
3 Questions: 1) Is this a Nizpro tune or is this your own ECU mapping? 2) Does flashing your outboard VOID the Yamaha Factory Warranty? 3) If you use BOOSTane with non-ethanol fuel, what is the ideal Octane number to run in a current production Yamaha 250 SHO, after it has been flashed by you? Thank you!
Hey there. 1) We only offer Nizpro tunes at the moment. 2) See 17:40 3) The calibrations are optimized for 89-90 octane US (RON+MON/2) or 95-98 octane EU/AUS (RON). Once tuned you CANNOT run a lower octane fuel or risk damaging the engine. A product like BOOSTane would only be required for situations where you can't find 89 or higher. You CAN SAFELY run higher octane fuels with no additional performance gains, but adding too much octane can also yield reduced performance. We find sticking with 89 is the easiest way to remove any worries from the equation. Hope that answers your questions!
Can yall tune a f70 yamaha
After development and testing it was determined by Nizpro that the gains on the F70 were negligible (approx 3hp), and not worth offering a tune for. Sorry we can't help on those!

What kind of horsepower do you usually get out of returning Yamaha 300- 2021. Is it worth doing?
The V6 Offshore 300's can be tuned up to 332hp. You may see an increase of 1-2 MPH and a 10-20% increase in fuel economy. If it is worth it is really up to you sir. With increased fuel economy the tune generally pays for itself in 100 hours of use, and after that you will reap the benefits of lower fuel consumption for as long as you have the motor. This increased fuel economy put differently will increase your range on a single tank by the same percentage. Unfortunately we do not perform ECU repiars. We offer performance tuning only. What exactly is wrong with your ECU? To the extent we can help to point you in a direction to get the issue resolved we would certainly be happy to.
How much$$ for a tune on a 2020 175 SHO?
Here is the link to our product page: tampamarinetuning.com/collections/sho-engines/products/4-cyl-sho-tune-vf150-175-2012-present It is worth noting that the 175 SHO actually tests out at nearly 200hp stock so the tune would increase the horsepower by only 31 HP for a total of 231HP. If you are looking to squeeze every last ounce of power out of your engine, the tune is a good fit for you, but if you are expecting the tune to knock your socks off, I would say you will be underwhelmed. My 60 Yamaha 4 stroke engine cannot run over. 2000 rpm....it will shut down instantly, could that be an ECU problem?
sounds like it's stuck in limp mode
It is likely something mechanical that is causing the ECU to enter Limp mode. we would recommend that you take your engine in for a scan to figure out the issue, a tune will not fix the problem.
