This was mind blowing to see. I literally grew up at this mall, and even worked at the United Artists Movie theater which was downstairs where the Sugar Plum people were when you came in. Thanks for posting this.
I spent a lot of my teenage years and young adult years at Westminster mall. It's really sad how it is the way it is now. It's like a ghost town there. It's really sad to see Santa there with no children around. Back in the day there used to be lines of kids wanting to take pictures with santa. I really feel bad for those people who put that all together and there's nobody there. It's really sad how society has come to the point where they don't like to support small businesses anymore. Just to save a few dollars. I always try to support small business cuz sometimes when I need something I need it now I don't want to wait. I don't mind spending a few extra dollars. I'm not rich by any choice but I do like to support small businesses. At some point this mall will be gone and I should probably take one last stroll through there before it's gone. Jayman you should probably do a walk-through of South Coast plaza I think it would be a lot different. There's always traffic in that mall and they probably have a Santa Claus set up down there too. They really decorate the mall nice around Christmas time. I think South Coast plaza will be one of the malls that will survive in the long-term. They usually have a lot more better stores there and people seem to gravitate to that mall a lot. Once again as always thanks for putting out the videos that you do. 👍
I'm starting to think that this is the deadest mall, not just in Orange County, but Cali. I had such a big heart for this mall. When I was younger. It was thribing, had everything at one point.
I was thinking today another good mall you can do a walk-through which is an outdoor mall is Irvine spectrum. That's probably going to be one of the best outdoor mall you'll go to. Really nice Mall a lot of variety when it comes to food and different types of stores. The spectrum is 10 times better than outlets of Orange.
That’s a nice mall. Still will be open until Bath & Body Works closes. The weirdest thing to me is that there was still a Cinnabon open. Even at premium malls in Dallas, TX they all closed. Must be a franchisee getting literally free rent to stay open.
Hard to see how the mall has evolved to what it is now. I went there a couple months ago to get some steps in. Hopefully it gets repurposed sooner than later for the community. I bought my first flat screen TV at the Sears there almost 20 years ago and walked in each month to pay $100/month in cash to pay off my 18 month interest free payments.
Specially, during Christmas time Del amo mall gets so crowded, can’t even walk! I am not kidding!.. not so much Carson mall (aka, Pavillion mall) but,is very much alive!…thank you very much!
@@ReynaldoAba-h9e oh man yes! Completely forgot about that. It was really cool to see back when I was a kid. I loved the open field of that mall because there was so much space in the middle of the triangular set up.
They are supposed to teardown most of the mall except for Macy's & Target, and they are gonna build condos by where the old Sears currently is. I offered a really good price for a men's ring at the Scorpion Jewelry, and they didn't flinch, meaning to say, they didn't acknowledge or accept my very generous offer, so the ring still sits, and that was months ago. I wonder how stores can afford to stay open and still pay employees & pay rent and electricity, (with no customers), Especially if they refuse a great offer to buy something from them at a dead mall. Cash is King. Oh well, their Loss, they'll be out of business before you know it.
Hmmm, they could have done a creepy movie there, with the scary noises and lonely Santa. Instead of Bad Santa, it could be titled "Dead-mall Santa..." 😂😂
You should of been there last weekend. It was a living hell instead with a girl dressed up in some sexy Santa costume dancing to the Macarena in front of Target. The parking lot was full in that area and lots of pop up vendors were selling weird cartoon stuff with half the girls dressing up like weird cartoon characters. Let's just say that they were doing a lot of things that would they would not get away with if mall management actually cared about this place.
@HEYMANWITHJAYMAN - So that is what happened. I guess mall management is desperate for every single penny before they close their doors for good. I know of several places now there because they probably got a super deal on rent. Piano Megastore and Sugar Plum come to mind. Hopefully the mall can just go peacefully and we don't see a return of what I saw last week. Heaven forbid the Sugar Plum and that event ends up returning on the same week again

Didn't know that was a movie theater where Sugar Plum was back in the day. A very dead zone mall.
This was my go-to mall when Bookoff was still there. My wife and I still visit sometimes for a fit of nostalgia lol. Thanks for posting. Subscribed!
Your welcome & thanks!
HeyMom with JaysMom! Hi mom! Wow....that malls so empty now...crazy! That food looks soooo good!!! Poor Santa!
Food was great. I'll actually go back. Santa in a Dead zone at a dead mall
Thanks for another video,it's great that you take your mom with you,it reminds me ive got to get my dad out more
She used to shop there tons of years ago so wanted her to see the place before its gone.
I used to go there as a kid back in the 2000's. It has definitely changed a lot lol
Mee too

Poor lonely santa! Kinda odd that they wanted to set up there knowing its a dead mall & yes i need to hit up SCP

Puente Hills Mall is pretty much just as DEAD too. Kinda cool that there is a local dead mall to go see but i bet will close by February???
I would hang out at that mall back in 1978 to 1985. Sad to see it now
Crazy dead now. Huge property
Can’t believe there is still a Merle Norman makeup store-those stores were really popular in the ‘80’s …didn’t know they were still in business😅
Awww, poor lonely Santa! 🎅 Good video! 👍🏻 ☺️
Poor, poor Santa will be even poorer if no 1 goes & visits for photos.
@@HEYMANWITHJAYMAN It is more like Santa is sad because the girls dressed in skimpy outfits that sat on his lap the week before were gone... 😇🎅
Dang it! Now I gotta go down there & try Fuji Japan before its gone!
Good stuff & Nice dudes too.
Is mainplace mall in Santa Ana dead?
Well not really but its my next video. I have to edit it.
No lol it’s as busy as Brea Mall
its dying also, becoming like a swapmeet with junk stores
I Bet This Is The Last Christmas For Westminster Mall. How Is Macy's Doing, And Is There A Chance That It Would Close Soon?
Macy's has customers as does Target but the rest of the mall is quiet. Not sure if or when it may close?

I remember going in making payments on things i bought there too. All gone now. Bummer!
Del amo mall and Carson mall are very much alive!…thank God🙏
You need to check out the Escondido mall. It's so packed like it was in the 80s and the 90s
Next year I'll hit up locations all over.
I'll check them out next year
Specially, during Christmas time Del amo mall gets so crowded, can’t even walk! I am not kidding!.. not so much Carson mall (aka, Pavillion mall) but,is very much alive!…thank you very much!
About a decade ago, that mall would packed with people. What a depressing place. Must be like this on weekday's & weekends😮
Yeah, Dead zone!
They bothered to put an entire Santa setup there. I feel guilty for not being there. That mall used to be bustling too
Way sad that Santa is just chillin waiting for people to maybe go to that mall for photos
I used to work at a kiosk back in the day. It's sad to see how different it is now.
this mall used to have a wire sculpture in the 70's in the middle and suspended from the ceiling
@@ReynaldoAba-h9e oh man yes! Completely forgot about that. It was really cool to see back when I was a kid. I loved the open field of that mall because there was so much space in the middle of the triangular set up.
That sounds cool
How is this mall still open? How are these few businesses making any money? It’s so sad.
Crazy isnt it. Im guessing closure at the end of January?? We shall see
Is Lee Nails next to the shoe cobbler still open ?
Hmmm didn't pay attention. Not sure
What time did u go.?

It’s gonna be an outdoor style mall. I got this info from 3 store owners.
i would guess that mall to be gone by February? Yeah, Crazy how they can keep the lights on there
Wow I went to Anime Night Mart at that mall last week and it wasn’t that empty
Dose the happen a lot there?
Have you seen the documentary "Jasper Mall"?
No l haven't
Is Spencer's still there?
Hmmm, they could have done a creepy movie there, with the scary noises and lonely Santa. Instead of Bad Santa, it could be titled "Dead-mall Santa..." 😂😂
Dead Mall Santa coming to a theater near you.....100% shot in Westminster - Westminster Mall
