Thanks for the video! This mall is a little far for me so didn't go very often, but I remember loving the layout with the stores in the middle center. It was very bright and lively in the 2000's. We ate at the Lux Buffet in June 2022, and I gave 3 stars on my Yelp review. The last review was in June '24, and they were getting worse, so its demise probably isn't surprising. I knew The Piano Mega Store had moved from the Village of Orange to Westminister Mall, but hadn't seen the actual stores. They were next to the old Fry's Electronics in Anaheim for the longest time. Those kiddie motorcycles were at the Village of Orange as well. I don't know if they are the same ones or not but it would make sense they would relocate them to another mall. On a side note, you need to look at the Village of Orange because the mall's interior is GONE! They are working on the backside of the remaining stores like Sprouts and Home Goods, probably trying to make the backs look nice and stronger.
Sugar plum was on Nov 8-9 and coming back in Dec. I miss them being down stairs in Buena Park. Man that mall looks dead, back in the day that place was packed
Yeah i see that Sugar Plum is back in Dec but the dealers pull their merch til then? I do remember them at Buena Park Mall which i bet is more active than Westminster
@HEYMANWITHJAYMAN Lakewood isn't as good as it used to be. I really only go there because it's close by. If they were malls around it , it would be a dead mall.
i accidentally stumbled into this mall while I was driving by and needed a space to take a break. It was like a trip back to the early 00's minus the people.
WOW! and I was at the Village of Orange about two weeks ago. I knew the inside mall had closed down. But I had no idea that they tore it down. I was so surprised. Looks like so far the Mainplace mall in Santa Ana is going to make it.
Most of the stores left because there was rumors they were gunna demolish the place so nobody renewed their lease. As well as yes I think alot of people during covid switched to online shopping
Yeah, it's still there and it seems like it's doing well from Old Navy all the way to Nordsrtom Rack and Karl Strauss. The far end doesn't get too much foot traffic though.
Century City mall is the most expensive mall in Southern California only because the cost to park every 15 minutes is expensive. 2nd most expensive mall would be south coast plaza cuz they sell 60-100k luxury watches there and expensive items.
The pandemic had led to a massive reduction in sales at the Westminster mall, California. Starting in 2025, the mall will be permanently closing down for good.
Go on the wrong weekend and this place gets overran by weird people who dress up as sexy cartoon girls for a certain group that loves stuff like this. Half the girls are willing to dress up like them and one even performed the Macarena in front of Target. You will see tons of pop-up vendors selling these. You should of seen the shock from all of the old people waiting to enter Sugar Plum. 😇

Yeah the Village at Orange ( mall ) is gone & they are making the Sprouts & Home Goods water tight as the mall is rubble now.
I took a pair of shoes to the little cobbler store almost 40 years ago! That mall used to be packed ALL the time. 😞
That place looks old school. Hopefully when the mall goes they find another location
Amazon and temu took over.
I remember on the 1st floor there was a huge shoe store. That mall always seemed to be empty about 5 years ago in 2019.
Sears closed in like april of 2019 too. The mall is freeway close and can't survive

Back in the day? U look like your only 25. lol.
I rarely went to this mall growing up. Cerritos and Lakewood are closer.
Cerritos is a nice mall. I need to go to Lakewood

Yeah main place is an active mall. Still going strong.
That building in the center of the mall used to be a big charlotte russe it was packed with people in the early 1990s.
My mom used to shop at that Charlotte Russe now that you mentioned it.
well i go here for target, i work down the street...sad to see the mall dead..before covid it was pretty full on the weekends
Target & the sky park seem the busiest
Most of the stores left because there was rumors they were gunna demolish the place so nobody renewed their lease. As well as yes I think alot of people during covid switched to online shopping
I'm shocked it's still open 😮
I used to go that mall all the time. After classes at Golden West College, the weekends, etc. It looks depressing inside the mall now.
Way depressing. Courious when it will totally close
Is Metro Pointe near South Coast still a thing? You should do a video on that place

I ❤ Deadmalls. And all Malls.

Peaceful place to read a book.

Yeah, it's really expensive there but it is nice though

I need to go check it out before full closure
