It's such a change to see an honest review of Disney food. That was an awful experience. Being served shell in two separate dishes and then being presented with a dirty glass is absolutely shocking and totally unacceptable.
I never comment on videos but just have to say, I respect you so much more after this video. Thank you for speaking out about places that charge ridiculous prices but don't deliver on product or service. We are at a pivotal point in society where we need to start speaking out more and not being silent. I appreciate you taking the time at the end to really go thru everything. Love your videos. ❤ Keep up the great work.
I’ve worked fine dining for 22 years. You are paying for the food. If it isn’t correct, send it back. ESPECIALLY if it’s so expensive! We (your servers) want you to have exactly what you order and excellent quality. And if it isn’t, we want to fix it for you. I appreciate your always honest reviews!
Having worked in kitchens - seasoning a dish "properly" is a dark art - especially white fish. People have many different palattes and tolerances to seasoning levels. Chefs are always taught to slightly over season as some "punch" is lost during the cooking process. With that being said - the one big thing I noticed was the "thyme" sauce that was served on the plate with the snapper was an shitty color of brown - maybe it was the lighting. That unappetizing palette color really doesn't belong on a plate. I wonder if they really have a chef from France working in the kitchen....
I was upset the moment I saw the state of the Brie on the cheese plate, but i gasped when you showed the lipstick stains all over the wine glass they gave you. I appreciate your honesty and thank you for taking one for the team! You deserve multiple expresso martinis 💕 sending you the best vibes 😎
You are much younger than me, but these kinds of experiences remind me of a prankster show that was on tv years ago. They had people thinking they were getting great quality, unique food, but it was ordinary things. The two examples that stuck in my mind was #1 the expensive water, that came right from the tap in the kitchen, and #2 was a "French mousse", that was simply cool whip. People were raving over these items, because they thought the price meant "great", but at the end, the pranksters told them the truth. Just shows that people can be swayed by fancy presentations, atmosphere and hype. Glad you are truthful with your reviews.
Great review. I booked V&A for my next trip but was wondering about this place. I’m glad you show it all- Sometimes fancy places just miss the mark. From your other video I can tell I’m going to love V&A!
You are 👏🏼one👏🏼 hundred 👏🏼percent 👏🏼correct!!! And those were terrible excuses for a meal over $200. I would expect those excuses from the quick service booths, but not Monsieur Paul!
You did an excellent job of going in with a positive attitude. Sorry the restaurant was such a disappointment! For those prices, they need to do much better.
Thanks for the thorough and honest review! If it makes you feel any better, I think the amuse-bouche lobster bisque was supposed to be chilled because I've had definitely had chilled amuse-bouche soups at French restaurants before!
I haven’t ever had the desire to dine there.. thank you so much, now I know I will never go. I just got my “Delicious Magic” t-shirt yesterday and so excited to wear it to Disney. I was also able to get the sticker pack, with a Country Bears Jamboree as well as “I Need A Bev-er-ahge” sticker !!!!! Thank you for all your content and food reviews. We have been going on all your recommendations… and we’ve been enjoying all the places we would of never tried 🎉
Great review! Thanks for taking the initiative to publicly display how shamelessly greedy and low bar standards the current management is treating Walt’s company. This relates to basically all guest experience in the past year or two, this company needs a DRASTIC change in management. Review 10/10 Disney Upper Management 0/10
You're basically a secret shopper at this point for Disney restaurants and I'm loving it! The wait staff should inform the chef when they see you coming in because they know you mean business when it comes to your reviews! ❤🔥 (A secret shopper, also known as a mystery shopper, is a person who evaluates a business by posing as a customer and reporting their experience)
I knew you were upset when your face was so flushed. What a complete disappointment. The dirty glass…I hope you forward your thoughts to the management of the restaurant and Epcot proper. Unacceptable.
There are so many good places to eat at Epcot that I really enjoy, this is very disappointing to see. Chefs de France is always so good and so much fun. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for sharing, wow!,,, definitely not what I would expect for that price!!. Dirty glasses and cheap candles! The pathetic cheese pllate with prepackaged jam in the jar. You are so good at food but what also what could be better or other options.
I enjoy your honesty. The cost of the meal, has to dictate the quality. I tend to analyze a lot of the stuff that you commented on. Whenever I find shells or bones in my meal, It certainly turns me off. Keep up the good content!
Excellent video .. disgusting experience…you hit all the main points that made your meal/experience revolting to us … only counter opinion we have is the salt ..millions of people are now on low salt diets … we have grown to prefer the taste of the meat, potatoes, etc rather than have these flavor disguised by added salt.. if you and (tim tracker) want salty food you can use the provided salt shaker …. Again , great video as usual .. have and joyous holiday season
Thank you Kristen for a high quality video and always providing your honest opinion. This restaurant should always provide high quality dishes for that price tag. You are not being overly critical. High price tag = big expectations. We just returned from Disney as AP holders for years and can see Disney becoming complacent in certain areas. Also the candle comment took me out. Hahah 😂 love your sense of humor.
I’m sorry I agree with everything with you on this! Very disappointing! I will say we were going to go here on our upcoming trip. We just cancelled it! I rather go eat anywhere else at this point and we don’t care about pricing but the lack of many things is a turn off!
Disney thinks they can get away with charging exorbitant prices. The food is overpriced, and the jam looks like something that you can get in a high-end grocery store. In fact, when I worked at Hickory Farms when they had actual stores in the mall we sold jam just like the one that was served.
Legit reviews on food. HOWEVER, regarding candles, fire, open candles. Nope! Danger. I use oxygen, you may not be aware of people with Inogen machines…I’m grateful for the battery candles! Keep it honest though! Thank you!
I saw that Bonne Maman jam in like every grocery store in the EU. Prolly 1 euro for one that size. Honesty the head chef of this restaurant has got to go
I love that you will be honest no matter what and it's important to you, because it's important to all of us here here ♥️ I follow a lot of channels and enjoy seeing all the fun, but only you and Rix Flix truly always tell it like it is.
This was So bad. So expensive. And so disappointing. It’s F’g loud in there too. I didn’t expect that. The filthy wine glass was sickening. The only thing I thot was appealing was that pear brandy sorbet. The cheese plate looked like somebody already ate it!
For $275 this should have been an exceptional meal not an exercise in having to pick the shell out of your meal. Inexcusable!!! 😏 Looking at your cheese plate I was just thinking you could have gotten a much better one at Baseline Tap House or Jock Lindsey's. So glad we never wasted our money here. When the food at Le Halle is leaps and bounds over what you were served 😂
The worst customer experience with the Restaurant is that they never reduced the bill!! They should have apologised to you….but they are French….enough said 😂😂😂🤞🏻

Kristen this is very entertaining. I will be watching twice. Shells are too much. I was a waitress. I used a crumber. I walked people to restroom. While they were gone, I refolded. Ritz Carlton training. You are on point.
This was painful to watch. I feel bad for the poor waiter, glad you didn't penalize him for the failure of the kitchen. I'm sure he gets the burnt of it on the regular.
Well, this is kind of a bummer of a meal, Kristen. I appreciate your candor about in which circumstances you will send something back to the kitchen. I know that makes you uncomfortable. Thank you for sharing your honest review with us! 💜

Commandment 11 - Thou shalt not eat at a restaurant with an espresso martini on offer and not order said cocktail. Girl, this was like the first 20 minutes of “Saving Private Ryan” with a pear palate cleanser! I am exhausted, I need a nap under a weighted blanket! 😂

The Chef probably had to Disnify the dishes to make it palatable for their guests.

Thank you for the refreshing, honest review. WDW has become unaffordable to most and they deserve to hear when they’re not meeting expectations.
All of the food looked like it was pre-made earlier and they just grabbed the food from under a heat lamp or the freezer. Nothing was made fresh.

More disney dining disappointments…. Every place is over priced and sub par now
Thank you for reviewing this for us. I’m sorry it was a bad experience 😢
Thanks for the honest review! In defense of the candle, I think I had a fake one at V&A too? Like there were other real ones but the table one may have been?
Totally agree biggest Meh I ever felt so so good for a foofoo price
Do you pay to get into the park before checking out the restaurants? Or do you have a season pass to get into all of the parks?
Commandment 11 - Thou shalt not eat at a restaurant with an espresso martini on offer and not order said cocktail. Girl, this was like the first 20 minutes of “Saving Private Ryan” with a pear palate cleanser! I am exhausted, I need a nap under a weighted blanket! 😂
That must have been so unbelievably disappointing for you. At one point I genuinely thought you were being pranked! I wish it had been a better experience for you Kristen. We appreciate you 🫶
