@Subimods I have a 2022 VB WRX in Premium trim with zero modifications to the powerplant and drivetrain, that being said, a year on from this video being uploaded, do we have any more information regarding this? Depending on the answer, this is something I would be interested in.
This is true.. it happened to me man. With all 9 holes exposed, not enough air recirculates. I ended up covering all holes and it didnt run rich nor shut off. Can confirm if not enough release holes are covered the car will be affected. They dont warn u ab that
@Luis Meza Really? I had all of my holes open before install on mine. The sound was okay when it actually released enough air to hear it. I usually only heard it under heavier loads or mashing the gas. Anyway, the car ran fine for awhile until I started having trouble with the car stalling at lights. I'd clutch in, throw it in first, double tap the gas and release the clutch to roll, however, I'd quickly have to push the clutch back in to keep it from stalling. The boomba was on my car for maybe a week or two before I decided to take it off. A car should not stall out like that, which is common sense that it's affecting the car in a negative way. I never tried putting more screws in because I figured if it was too quiet with them all out.. it won't be worth it with the screws in? How does it sound and how many screws did you put in to get the car to run normally?
@@PatLileProductions dude, i literally had to cover almost all holes for it to stop stalling on me. Figured it was too sketchy for a brand new car so i just removed it and bought the turbosmart diverter valve… it’s literally electromagnetic as it should be.
oh snap I forgot subis were known for their good looks 🤦 I bet you the new WRX’s will be remembered as one of the least vomit-inducing models. Easily the most polished turd to date

Does this part require a tune? I have a 23 WRX premium that’s completely stock.

Heard a comment about a bov causing the factory MAP sensor to read funny and cause rich fuel to the piston. Any thoughts?
Unfortunately we have not had this issue, however a 100% VTA BOV may cause the vehicle to run rich for a fraction of a second.

Can you run this bomba bov with stock stage 1 91 octane tune?
You can technically run this with any tune, but you may have to play around with the set screws to make the car respond properly
What did you mean open? Did you even put the screw on?
We tested the adapter completely open without any of the screws installed.
Does this hurt the atmospheric air?
In regards to the environment? No it does not.

In most cases an intake increases the volume dramatically, some atmospheric BOV's will do this however.

You shouldn’t really need it with an intake. You’ll be able to hear the factory bpv with the intake
