As someone who's considering a WRX - where is the online community in 2023? In the old days - it was forums but they're all dead. Are they on FB or Reddit now? Also - your vocal delivery is great. Not sure if you're a natural or you have superior equipment, but you're easy to listen to.
They both do the same thing - recirculating back into the intake like the factory piece - just better quality and stronger internals to support more boost , FWIW I have this same one and its great
I don't have a lift, so I guess it won't be easy. Ramps for me. Designed to "leak" or not, how fast does the OE plastic valve react compared to the aftermarket ones (like this GFB unit)? Does it need to be rebuilt/serviced every so often? VW used their plastic "710N" (later 'P' revision) on all of their cars from GTIs to 911 Turbos and all Audi in between. I replaced my GTIs 710N w/a 710P after 10 years just for funzees. The 710N was probably fine, but old. Everyone else went Baileys, Forge, or APR R1.
Some tunners won't actually want to tune your car unless you have the stock DV apparently it brings more issue when tunning with them then the stock DV apparently this valve this time around isn't as bad as people make it seem JDM Right Hand was having issues with his Turbo Smart Valve and ended up resorting to going back to the stock one but I only know so much so yeah.
Yeah this is possibly very misleading information: I think tuners are discouraging all BOVs and DVs because of prior experience with the more common BOVs to atmosphere, which messes with the ecu readings for air.

Reddit groups and facebook groups Im on both
theres a new subreddit called vbwrx
Already figured out everyone's problem with boost leak
Except on testing of this valve, FA24 ran lean and started throwing knock codes and needed to be removed.
Tuning couldn't fix this?
@@davidsmith4186 probably, but this thing is a POS. put it in oh so carefully or the piston will fall out. WTF
Another great mod! Cant wait to see the new shop!
Thanks for a super clean, easy to understand, and well-edited video, homie!
You're welcome!
Wondering what the advantages or disadvantages of this compared to the turbosnart plug and play plumb back part?

Pick you poison.

Pretty sure he was using one that vented to atmosphere. This is recirc just like stock.

What wheels have you got , they look the goods
Can we please get some sound clips, would love to hear
Sorry if you have already addressed this but, did you have that black trim painted white?
Is it better to wait for the GR 86 2024 model or buy the 2023 GR 86 now? 2024 not yet available here in the Philippines. Thanks
do you need a tune to put this on if the car is compltetly stock?
No tune needed.
Merry Christmas!
Happy holidays!
Can i have the oem bolt pls🥲🥲
Whould you need a tune adjustment to run this valve?
Its not venting to the atmosphere so you do not need to adjust your tune - it literally functions as the factory one does
No tune needed, just install and drive!
If im custom tuned would i need to re tune it?
Call your tuner and be sure!
this thing is a POS
Sighs* pulls out card* 📉
