If a client doesn’t see value in your long term , after your one off work with them , what can be reasonable response in continuing work with them? I’m still struggling to nab my first retainer .. but I think my proposition on having retainer is not being respected because I continue to do one -off after similar conversations like these ☹️
What do you guys do if a potential client is pushing real hard on pricing up front before you even get to have a conversation about what they might need? Basically I'm saying "let's talk about what you guys might need" and they come back with "ok but before we do, what are your prices?" I've ran into this a few times before I can even get them onto a call.
in those situations I would just say "most of my projects start around $10K, and this includes a crew of 5 people for a one day shoot. But let's hop on a call so we can really dial everything in to add the most value for your needs and constraints"
Thanks so much for sharing this guys. There is a lot of value here! Also frozen Paul is the best Paul by far.
