  • Ann has had so many requests for more ORIGAMI inspired pottery projects she prodded the folks in the Little Street Pottery Research Facility to come up with 3 more! We hope this inspires you to try some new techniques in your work whether you hand build or wheel throw. It's also a relaxing pottery video to watch - don't you LOVE watching someone else work?

    All pieces were made from Standard English Porcelain No. 365
    Ann painted these in the green ware stage. We typically bisque to Cone 04 and fire to Cone 5.
    Ann spends hours and lots of materials experimenting to find new and interesting projects to share. If you would like to buy Ann a cup of coffee to support the massive LSP Research Facility - we thank you to go here : www.buymeacoffee.com/anneruelA
    Check out Ann's Etsy site where you can purchase pottery made in our videos as well as other thingies: www.etsy.com/shop/LittleStree...
    Ann also creates sought after custom mugs that she paints exclusively for individual clients. If you would like to learn how Ann paints with underglazes - check out her Video Workshop Series here. These workshops are very detailed (typically 1.5 - 2 hours in length) where Ann provides step by step instruction and are designed to help potters take their work to new levels of craftsmanship and artistry. vimeo.com/showcase/6725318

    Hi Ann. What clay do you use?

    Ann I tried making your snowflake with six separate pieces. They tore and it wasn’t successful. Was your clay pretty soft? Any advice?

      I used porcelain Standard #365. I really did not let the clay set up much before working it although my clay can be a bit dry coming off the block and that can help. Did they tear in the fire? If so, are you reinforcing the joints a little?

    • @LittleStreetPottery
      @LittleStreetPottery  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really - typically I'm working right off the block of clay.
