This is possibly one of the most intriguing videos I have ever watched. Usually I’ll get bored halfway through long videos like this and then leave, but this time I didn’t even realize I had been watching for nearly an hour. This is the content youtube should be promoting. I have no idea why it’s so entertaining, I didn’t even know what this game was before this, but watching you turn the worst move in the game into the coolest and, arguably one of the best with practice was super cool!
shoeless, I just want to say that you are the sole reason I even picked up this game. I first watched other youtubers say that it felt clunky and overall bad, but then I saw your video discussing emergent gameplay. not only did it inspire me to get good, but it inspired me to play the whole game without runestones. I've stopped training as much because I kept getting destroyed by people using flight moves that were only possible because of the double jump stone. I thought it was over for my no rune stones account, but with my eyes being opened to heartline roll not only did it reawaken my no runes run, but that moment alone will make me a follower of flick.
honestly I can whole heartedly say this is the most invested in a series I've ever been, all for a game I've never played. Your videos are AMAZING. This is super reminiscent of Gunz The Duel. Being a part of the discovery in that game gives me the appreciation I now have for your discoveries and participation. Absolutely stellar stuff!

You nailed it, man! you were the one the game was waiting for, Avatar candidate that literally invented a skill tree and breathed life in Rumble using one mechanic all by yourself ( i mean YT channelwise). I hooked on previous videos but never really came to appreciate them since it all were based on raw concepts and showcasing of what future of VR can bring us magicbendingwise. The story telling in this video is incredible. I don’t even own rumble (I don’t have any way to play it) but never more have I wanted to. The way you present information and discovery while breaking it down is incredible!!! Literal butterflies!
I rewatched Gurren Lagann recently and I love how this video exemplifies in a real life* scenario the whole point of the anime. You went and did the impossible, even with everyone doubting you could ever do it, even after all the hardship and pain you had to go through, you achieved the potential only you saw, and then made sure that everyone else knew of that potential as well, turning something that would be considered insane in the past into something that is now considered simply as part of the game. Congratulations!

The only things stopping me from downloading Rumble right now (it was gifted to me by a friend some time ago but I never gave it a shot) is that 1. my headset is currently held together with some tape and 2. Windette sends his regards
*cocks gun* Nothing personel.
I gotta say, I really like your attitude. Your constant return to what is more fun instead of what is considered "optimal" is something we need more of in the world. Keep having fun dude.
25:32 seeing flick god technique: full ascension and uzumaki technique had to me so scared for whats next ngl
you have keen eyes. There is a bright flick path ahead of you if you choose to walk it.
@@shoeless_manfew decide to begin the journey, and far fewer survive it
I don't own a VR headset, tried it once, very prone to motion sickness. I never booted up Rumble once, and never heard of the game before stumbling on this channel.
However you bet your ass I watched all the videos and will continue to do so, top tier stuff.
What headset did you try? Chances are VR has come a long way since then.
This video felt like watching a movie, you are truly the flick messiah.
ah you are too kind @pacjohn thank you!
This video had me buy the game like, 30 minutes in where the first one did not. Congrats on converting me to earthbending!
sigh, a silver lining to the explosive growth I've tried to stamp out. Hope to see you in the ring!
@@shoeless_man Rumble should sponsor you or something 🤣🤣
shoeless, I just want to say that you are the sole reason I even picked up this game.
Holy shit this editing and story telling is incredibly beyond TH-cam’s even highest standards - atleast within gaming.
Awesome video, awesome film.
bro, i love your editing and video structure so much. Ther suspence, the teaching, the allure
Bro mastered the golden ratio. Fibonacci and Gyro would be proud
dang, I don't know how you can make such long and high quality videos bro, this video had me feeling really emotional. I absolutely love your editing and story telling man, keep up the good, awesome work.
Also i love all your corny jokes lol
The story telling is really peak
Fr it's so good
@@aparcadepro1793 yea no kidding
Yes it was like a hole movie
never played rumble, seen a couple of videos but what really matters is the fact that this is one of the most amazing videos I've ever seen the editing is some of the best out there I genuinely felt like I was watching a movie, huge props to you man!
This man over here came at an Earthbending game and started to apply the principles of Waterbending and then Airbending to it.
shoeless, this was literally one of the coolest videos I've ever watched. It felt like a movie with the music, transitions, voiceovers, and clips all creating a super entertaining video. I can tell a lot of passion went into not only mastering the ways of flick, but making this video absolutely awesome. Please keep doing what you do, I can see you going far.
The editing and story is so good it gives me chills. Idk how but you keep it interesting the entire time.
I hope rumble keeps evolving like this. Your storytelling and talents definitely inspire people to try new thing.
....did this guy just learn how ti use the Spin in the Earthbending Game, and then proceed to go beyond and learn the Golden Spin?
Nah dude Im getting VR what the hell.
Bless you on your flick journey
I have had tried using the controller spin at 180 to get an insane spin for flick and sometimes hold, i havent really tried it in combat, nor have i been playing lately
@@RecRealMaster Wonder if practicing fighting game motion inputs would help here.
Is that a JOJO REFERENCE?
Bro's the hidden Part 7 Character
bro taking the learning of other elements to improve your own to heart, nice work!
I love seeing an innovator, the creator, the inventor at work. Bro changed the whole meta. It's so commendable, so unfathomable to a mere mortal.
AN HOUR OF SHOELESS MY GOD WHERE DOES THIS MAN FIND THE TIME
i ask myself the same question. Could have been rumbling you know?
@@shoeless_manI understand that it takes ages to make and edit videos. I know it's extremely time consuming as I've done it myself, but this kind of content shares the game and community you love with the rest of the world. It grows the community so much! You have an impact you can't even imagine!
How TF do you basicly make an entire 1 hour long MOVIE?
Why arent you doing this professionally? The editing, the music, the story, your way of speaking... its all so fucking good. You even basicly had credits at the end... Keep up the good work.
In about one week, everyone will be using flick.
maybe make it two weeks so rumblers can at least get to the 300hr starting mark
@@shoeless_manyea it might take me a few weeks
I usually spend my time elsewhere (I don’t have the game)
you were completely right lmao. crazy how much this game has changed since this video came out
@@shoeless_manjust play 2 rumble instances at once
ive watched youtube for 10 years and this is one of the best videos ive seen ever. before this video i didnt even know what rumble was
Bro this video was a masterpiece and I have never even touched rumble.
The narrative, the music used, and on top of it all. The sheer elegance of the moves made this so beautiful.
Congrats on the vid. I hope it blows up lol.
Dude this legit made me feel emotional, like seeing you actually achieve what you wanted after trying so hard is inspiring
45:00 typically, when your worst case scenario becomes your best case scenario, that means something has gone very, very wrong.
This phrase goes soooo hard. I want to hear it in a tv show or something.
He meant USING flick. Having to use flick in a nornal match used to be a last ditch effort sort of thing until the new meta. What hes saying is that the best case scenario is him being able to get a flick off
@@ReturnOfQwari I am pretty sure he meant worst case used to be -9 when he tried using flick but now the best case is +9
@@Gr4tte ohhh maybe yeah
@@Gr4tte Exactly, 1 boosted wall and 1 regular wall hit. It just went from hitting himself with it to hitting his opponent.
Wow that epilogue low key had me feeling genuinely emotional 🥹💚
Definitely one of the best TH-cam personalities I’ve seen. The editing and comedy and storytelling is on point. I was glued to the screen, even if I’ve barely played rumble. Keep up all the fantastic work, and please make the next video even though me and many others subbed and got you over 30k!
This video is incredible! Not only is your gameplay and mechanical understanding next level, but your storytelling and motion graphics make it that I had my full attention devoted to this video. This is in my top 20 videos I’ve ever watched on youtube.
47:16 Of course they were starting to believe! Your videos are so well put together and so cool. And even as some who doesn’t play Rumble (no vr, sadly) I’m really engaged with it and find it interesting. So like, WELL DONE. With both Rumble AND TH-cam.
This entire video is a fresh breeze that winded up some unknown game on rarely used headsets to rise from some mid-level game to a great and fresh indi game project the way it was intended to be
The story telling in this video is incredible. I don’t even own rumble (I don’t have any way to play it) but never more have I wanted to. The way you present information and discovery while breaking it down is incredible!!! Literal butterflies!
The buildup here is insane, this shit really made my jaw drop at the double puppet master
At this point you're gonna unlock actual irl earthbending.
I need to watch this anime now
@@shoeless_manI really recommend it, it's one of my favorites and you sound like the type of person who would enjoy it!
One thing I feel should be noted, in case you have an issue with it is that there's a fair bit of fanservice around the first quarter of the show.
But even if you dislike fanservice, I'd say it's worth it to watch to the end!
Gurren Lagann is my favorite anime of all time hands down
Alright. I randomly found your second video 2 days ago, and I’m already freaking hooked on your editing style and writing. The humor is right up my alley, and you seem like a very cool guy. Keep up the INCREDIBLE work ❤
This is easily the best video about a VR game I've ever seen, you're absolutely going to blow up. These videos are SO good!!!
i dont play rumble, i dont even own a VR headset but I watched and enjoyed the entire 57minutes of this documentary
props to yt algo for the recommendation
you earned my sub, not for the game, but for the story telling, the music, the video editing and the personality
props sir, well done
Wow... 10 minutes into the video I realized I had watched 45 minutes.
I don't really know hot to put this but this is one of the most amazing videos. Nah movies I have seen.
I don't even play rumble.
And I rarely, rarely... Rarely comment on videos.
I can't empazise enough how captivating this video was.
Stellar storytelling. Wow, lost for words
Flick I watched the whole video again...
Genuinely shocked when i reached the end and saw it was an hour long. Never once did i concider leaving because its just. The storytelling.
No idea how you manage such long high quality vids, but you have single handedly inspired me to play rumble and entertained me throughly for an hour. Amazing work
Really love your scripting work when it comes to telling a story while also being informative on the game
This video has been more exciting and engaging than actual movies I've watched! I could NOT sit still and I was cheering for you! 10/10 best non-movie movie on TH-cam!
This man is literally the avatar of flick, bends earth, flies through air, adapts like water and wields a fire in his heart
This is hands down one of the best videos I've ever seen in the whole of this fucking platform. Such a beautifully curated storyline embedded in a clear and concise representation of how you developed this tech. I dont even play this game, but there was never a minute where I wasn't fascinated by the magic of what you were doing and the way you demonstrated it. Wow.
Doubt this'll be seen, but I really must compliment your skills. I don't know your Background, but im assuming it's in filmmaking or something along the line. Beyond just being a good TH-cam video, the way you have me feeling during this video only rarely happens even during some of my favorite shows and movies. I know this must seem like exaggeration, but I really do think that you have legitimate talent for this. Filmmaking I mean, not just rumble, not even just 'TH-cam' though I mean absolutely no shame on great youtubers. I can't wait to see your future projects, and wish you only the best in all your endeavours.
Only love from me!
^THIS
You have incredible story telling abilities my friend, I kid you not actually felt chills at one point.
Windet sent me, likely will never get the chance to play the game ever, but I'm going to fanboy over it non-the-less.
Making this comment before watching the video, it was hyped up, lets see if it sitcks such a landing.
Edit: ...well...consider me impressed. Little sad now that I'll likely never get the chance to play this game given the budget and teck, but I at least want to give it a try when I do.
Not only was this video well constructed, but the storytelling was engaging, the music fit the mood the entire time, and the editting style was breathtaking. This is one of the best youtube videos I've seen in a long time, and it was about a silly, fun game Rumble.
Well done my friend !!
It's a whole movie! I've felt so many emotions watching this video! The montage, the gameplay, the voice, everything was on the top for me. Thank you Shoeless for this video, i'm glad i discovered your channel.
This is going in my playlist of "Videos so good I should write a novel about it".
Thank you, you flicky, flicky man.
Genuinely some of the best storytelling and editing ive ever seen, im so glad i got here
Crazy how I just watched a 1 hour documentary about a game I had never heard off, props to u shoeless what a video!
this is the best channel i've ever seen. ive never even touched vr but the last video and this video are both just ridiculous in quality. the editing is insane, the journey, the evidence and examples of every tech, the people (rumble seems like such a cool community), and best of all you have the humor and personality to back it all up. i've never been so interested and wanting more content about something i've never even touched
You videos bring me a special kind of joy that nothing else on TH-cam has before. Thank you for these MASTERPIECES!
Honestly seeing all the losses you've gone through and still pulling through is super encouraging for a guy like me with many losses under his belt. Thanks for the content I don't even play this game. Always keep pushing.
The overlay at 48:18 with the music got so hype for what was to come. Your videos make me the most hype about this game.
The only things stopping me from downloading Rumble right now (it was gifted to me by a friend some time ago but I never gave it a shot) is that 1. my headset is currently held together with some tape and 2. I do not have the space I would require to play this in vr...
Having watched this a few times already over the course of a few months now though, especially after watching Windette's own video linking back to this one, makes me want to play it despite those above setbacks... Your storytelling is amazing and your editing style kept me watching the entire time, everytime.
Bravo, Shoeless, for reshaping (pun intended) the meta and showing folks that even if something seems useless... it could have hidden potential.
i didnt expect to be watching a storytelling masterpiece 9 minutes into the video, i was locked into the the science and theory and then you hit me with absolute cinema
I have never played vr let alone rumble but watching this has touched my soul in a way that only happens when your a child discovering something new and amazing for the first time. Your made an end to my week a great one.❤
Your editing is perfect, your skills are awe-inspiring, and your content is fun. Thanks for pioneering so much for us.
Congratz on getting into the Comma Club! Thank you for finding the time to make some of the best edited videos on youtube!
I wish i had found this video much sooner. I was smiling the whole video and now im rewatching it. This is now one if my favorite yt vids!
You have inspired me to grind to black belt no matter the cost. I will wait through years of matchmaking just for the chance to attempt the moves you're doing. You are a legend shoeless!
I found myself grinning so much throughout this video, this journey of mastering such a difficult technique despite the many, many risks faced when performing it was incredible! This was such a cinematic tale, I’m super glad the time was put in to sharing this story so non earth benders like myself could learn of the greatness that is Flick!
Pure inspiration, brought a tear to my eye. (Also, great sound mixing. Soothing on my headphones)
I love these videos, high quality editing and storytelling that captures your interest. I love the influence you have over this community and the direction you are taking it

This is a good video man, good editing and story telling and i like the commitment to something you like.
I don't even play this game, but I was fascinated and watched that journey from beginning to end.
I don't even own a VR, and I want more of this.😅
You're phenomenal!
The only VR man who hasn't succumb to Quantity over Quality.
Hopefully you have a million sub by the time VR go mainstream.
Brilliant. This level of innovation, this masterful storytelling and this sort of captivating experience is what I subscribed for. Long live the Flick God!!!
dude you are too good at this video thing took me on a roller-coaster of emotions i love it. keep up the great work
Dont have rumble and never played, although I had heard of it before this video from a friend, and holy shit despite not knowing much this was an incredible video and I watched the entire video and I might end up getting into rumble now.
