Love the Time Dilation Overhaul mod. It's great that enemies can now keep up with the Sandy. It makes it a lot more challenging.

This boss fight should been insane and have atleast 2 cuts cutscenes.
Boss fights are not a strength of CDPR. As much as they're good at making captivating worlds and stories, it seems like their boss fights always lack mechanics and difficulty. Same problem was with Eredin in the witcher 3.
@@Ruzzky_Bly4t what about Dettlaff in Witcher3? That came really close to somewhat souls like, albeit rather easy yet still it was simple but effective and he even got 2 cutscenes
@Prime Alkyra Detlaff was much better. Many interesting attacks, multiple stages, and fairly hard. Even the toad from the beginning was harder than most bosses from the base game, although it was a very primitive fight. That's why I find it weird that they went back to making really easy bosses with no interesting mechanics in Cyberpunk.
Yeah I remember I popped Sandy and he died to my katana without able to do anything. Sandevistan is so brokenly op with melee weapons. I actually stopped using Sandy altogether in my second playthrough, it was just baby-mode easy and ruined the game
Just goes to show how OP super-speed is in the realm of superpowers. Nothing quite better than it, until you get to some extraordinary power levels
Smasher kinda feels appropriate in the sence that it reinforces the fact that v is a fucking badass who killed a legend of night city easily in their death bed

Welcome to CDPR boss fights. Some giant frog was literally stronger than Eredin in the witcher 3. Same happened in Cyberpunk.
@@Ruzzky_Bly4t to be fair, that giant frog came later, and was kinda meant to be fought after the main story, even if you can fight him earlier.
In lore, Adam Smasher once piloted a DaiOni, which is a bulky power armor/mech that only fullborgs can use. Arasaka sending one as a reinforcement from a nearby cargo platform, or even by setting up explosive charges in the floors above to break the floor and let the mech fall in the middle of the arena would have been amazing.
@@neirenoir Sounds really interesting. I looked this thing up, and it's armed to the teeth. A grenade launcher, autoshotgun, machine gun, railgun, anti-tank missiles, and retractable swords all in one body. It would be an insane fight for sure. Big missed opportunity there.
@@Ruzzky_Bly4t plus it is linked to the egocentric areas of the user's brain,sending the user into a rush of feeling that he is technically godlike. Practically the suit wouldn't be a good idea to be used as it would turn Mikoshi and the Soulkiller into nothing,which would be a higher level of loss than losing Smasher when Johnny blew up the tower,causing Smasher's body to turn into bits technically.
We need a mod to buff Smasher to get the boss fight he deserves

there's the mod that the video author used, Time Dilation Overhaul. It does just that (I personally didn't get to try it, but from what I've seen, it's very cool)

You gotta also take into consideration that this game is 1 year after David, and since Adam smasher ended David it's possible he has David's sandy already.

Smasher is a tough boss if you’re not OP. Based on my experience, if you grind your ass off playing the game and find all kinds of weapons and invest in perks, especially Body and Annihilation and such, V becomes extremely overpowered.
Don't know about that. Played for 60 hours, and demolished him on the hardest difficulty level. A few dozen headshots with the sniper rifle is all it took.
I think what he needs is a scaling difficulty slider to compensate for how OP V gets. Like a counter melee moveset for the nanowire builds or give him a powerful sandevistan to meet you if you have one, like he did with David. Make the AI smarter too.

It's kinda weird how TRIGGER of all studios that worked on Cyberpunk made a more tabletop-accurate Adam Smasher compared to CDPR. He's a complete pushover in this game.

CDPR are notorious for not respecting source material, take the Witcher as example. And they try to fix that with patch 2.0 in Cyberpunk, but yeah.
I can imagine how scary it is to pretty much breeze through everyone else in the game but then see someone finally catch up with you. "Oh damn this is like... not unique tech people just don't want to go over the edge."

I killed him with 4 strikes using monowire cold blood and blade build. Smasher on the other hand was really hard to kill because it seemed to me my damage was too low. I'm really confused.
@@yellowbirdie7182 My V started off with a Katana and I used cyberhacks but I eventually switched to a Sandevistan and used monowires. It was thrilling to go crazy on random gangs with that combo. But then Oda came out of nowhere and early on in the fight, I said fuck it and used a Katana again. Felt like a climatic season finale type of moment for me

Before destroying everything in the room , in the middle can be seen lots of servers computers , so thats a server room. And makes more sense be almost the top of the building , servers usualy are built there bcuz they r valuable assets
@@thebruneitor7842 Well, considering that the room is a hidden room since it houses Mikoshi, it means that no one would even know the server is located their either making it a much safer location.
I have a drinking problem and was mostly drunk playing this game. I woke up one day thinking I'd get to face Adam Smasher to realize I beat him blacked out. I have no idea how I did that.

honestly people tend to say smasher is easy but i fkin had to fight him like 10-15 times to finally beat that fker. frustrating shit. playing on hard difficulty and without sandy it was rly hard to beat that fk in first stage. i know theres a way to beat him by running away and using pillars etc etc but if u mess up he kills you easily.
You probably didn't grind to higher levels. On most builds at level 45+ V is op. All hardmode does is increase damage output of enemies. Most builds allow for V just to not get hit. Sandy allows you to dodge damage super easily and get behind cover when it runs out. Netrunning allows you to hide behind walls the whole fight and kill him whilst running the whole fight. Beserk builds leave you more vulnerable to damage but depending on the variation of beserk build you can either be really resistent or just have no recoil on your assualt rifles and just laserbeam the shit out of smasher. Fights too easy, he needs a buff.
@@ise3359 i was around 38 lvl when fighting him, on hard difficulty, without sandy or berserker. i had stealth thrownife/tech nsiper build. so its up to build which people choose, obviously netrunner and sandy/katana builds r the most broken ones. but it wasnt easy for sure, like in first stage if u dont take cover when he fire his smart shotgun u get taken down. same with barrage if not run or smth u r taken down. grinding my ass off to 45+ lvls just to fight smasher seems stupid. i was at the point of the game where i did like 3/4 of side quests or more and i wanted to finish game.
I fought him with my lvl 30 netrunner build.
Only died once because of shit resistances. But once I got my epic quickhacks running (no legendaries and with a suboptimal legendary cyberdeck), he was fried.

Adam Smasher needs a buff. From the lore. Johnny is a seriously unreliable narrator. Adam in Edge Runners is more what I expected playing the game. Smasher is a 1 in a million CyberPsycho. Mofo was crazy to begin with and was "Built to Endure" In keeping with the lore. I'd give two options after a point in the fight. Lasting long enough for some Deus Ex Machina event to separate you. Or you finally get a golden ticket of a moment where you do enough damage to make him withdrawal a moment. "Gives you enough time to do what you need to do." A loss for him but not dead by a long shot. Unless of course if Pondsmith was okay with V ending him? The fact that you get a choice is weird to me game wise. In the end it makes no difference to the ending as it is. Other than going for a Non Lethal Build. (Which I did) and in the end it didn't matter. 2077 has 1 DLC now that happens prior to the point of no return supposedly.
I keep reading about the "lore", could you tell me where i could read it? Like i know about the anime but I've also read about V being in the lore
I’m disagree, smasher is enough strong, it’s just you go through all side quests, get all legendary/iconic equipment/clothes/implants and was prepared to fight anything in cyberpunk universe. If you play only main quest, and don’t do any side parts, and won’t read guides/quotes from other players, you will fright Smaher on different ground, cuz your level will be low, few legendary items at maximum, zero top implants, so this Cyborg become great challenge for any player

@@impartialthrone2097 Why not? The way how smasher implanted himself is bad, and I would say it’s dead end actually. Also in world of cyberpunk every thing is sold and bought, so you probably can by smth even better that smasher didn’t get cuz of circumstances, but if you have enough money, you can buy it. It’s just looks like too easy to get them, you just need reputation to buy things(and a bit money), not accomplish special missions or smth like that

What's funny is with my build the fight was over before smasher could even do anything
i would have really liked to see is other characters with sandevistans being able to move at your pace while both your sandeviststans are active, like in edgerunners. its probably a nightmare and a half to code tho.
Just install mod. There is a mod just for this purpose. ( I forget the name of it 😔) you will be able to find if you google sandavistan mods etc

@@EtherealVerseMedia for Cyberpunk - yes. The concept of "high tech, low life" was coined then. S-F of 60-70's was rather optimistic in comparison to Cyberpunk. Somehow those 80-90's created a very pessimistic vision for the future.
Imagine if he would actually be immune to sandevistan/or some quickhacks. He at least would be somewhat more threatening.
Yea, unfortunately, while he will still move at speed during Sandevistan, his duration between attacks isn't affected by Sandevistan which is causing him to just stand there and take a huge beating.

I had this feeling when I fought Kellogg in Fallout 4. If bosses could scale up with you through the story that would be great.
In survival difficult, he is a monster, a had to do almost every chem (especially jets) and go full explosive when he uses stealth boy, for me who wasn't played the game (cyberpunk) feels way more frustrating, because I watch the anime and want so much to play the game, especially for Adam smasher, but he is so underdeveloped, this game has so much potential to be one of the best ones of this genre
@Erick Henrique See, I did every possible side quest I could find before pursuing the main story. I was level 65 when I fought him and he was...like in the 30s I think. One VATS was all it took. I thought it was absolutely hilarious given how everyone in the game played up how scary he was.
@@Victorblud man the first time I get to him, I was so immersed into revenge my wife and son, I was like level 30 up, and feel like I was under leveled to fight him, but in survival everything becomes 10x harder, especially for the saves, and when I was reaching to him In my mind I was like: the last time a sleep was in diamond city in this mf house, so I knew I'll screw everything if I die, so for me was like a real life pressure situation, I was the underdog in that fight, this made everything so much breathtaking.

Ah yes, the way to play cyberpunk.
On my first playthrough I did a pretty low level end to the game because I did some basic side quests like river's and Judy's. Maybe some side gigs but not much outside of that. If you don't use the op builds and you're below level 30 Smasher is a very hard boss fight.

Enemies of Night City Mod made Smasher how he should be. Using his sandevistan whenever u are using it and a hardcore boss.
I think they made the smasher bossfight so easy because they knew everyone was gonna run the game back to kill him with dildos after we saw edgerunners.
I'm curious as to how much people struggled with him since I tore through him with a katana build that had crit chance on pretty much every hit my fight was over almost immediately but this was not long after the game had come out.

I skipped main story i just maxed out my character and build before i started playing the main story... Tho i modded it so i can change mods and reassign atrobutes and points.. am thinking about maxing out all atrobutes and points by mod and possibly find sandevistan+hacking dock at once mod

Did you mean 1% sandy? A 99% sandy is only slowing time by 1%, that’s basically normal speed. A 50% sandy slows time by 50%, a 25% sandy slows time by twice as much as a 50% sandy.
Yes but if you say "99% Time Dilation" means the time was dilated by 99% (not to 99%) which is the distinction in this case.

Smasher in the game seemed like a top-dog bodyguard of arasaka. Smasher in the anime turned out to be a god damn fucking nightmare filled legendary meat-fucker. I wish the game would have amped up Smasher to the same degree, as even when you're not as OP as the V in this video, the Smasher battle isn't nearly as crazy as the anime portrayed him to be.

Well yeah, V is strong af, which made Smashers boss fight really easy. Pretty underwhelming to be honest. Like all he used were his fists, a pistol, and a rocket launcher. His whole body is supposed to be one giant implant, and he had nothing special to offer.
