@@KikomochiMendoza That's not how that law works, in any way, shape, or form. Fair Use laws are made for this purpose, and at this level would have already been tested out (over Fair Use BS of TH-cam). Disturbia is allowed to be used because it follows the following, and only because of the following reasons. NOT because of some "notes" rule that people love to misquote and actually think is real. 1) "the purpose and character of the use" which Skippy is used for comedic purposes, so him referencing Disturbia is fine here. If he was to sell Disturbia, or connect Cyberpunk to Disturbia seriously, then it would not be comedic, but commercial. Also why TH-cam Videos can make money off of Video Games, and why you can see this footage RIGHT NOW. It can easily be argued it is used for "comedic purposes", which falls under FU. 2) "the nature of the copyrighted work" Disturbia is a pop song in music meant for distribution in audio. This isn't changing the copyrighted work into another medium to claim ownership. This is why people can sell the entire script of the Bee Movie on a shirt as "art", but not as a script for their own movies which would be plagiarism. Disturbia is not claimed in any way, in another format. 3) "the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole" THIS is the fact that people confuse with "You have to use similar but not the same notes" or "the colors have to be off enough". The Disturbia Easter Egg is a few MB out of a dozen TB, hence it's fine. Reviewing a movie on TH-cam and showing a significant amount of it is not, for example. If they blasted more than a % of the ACTUAL song, than they would be in trouble (also where people mistake this from thinking you only have to be "30% off" the original) 4) "the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work" Disturbia's sales were not negatively affected by the Easter Egg. Cyberpunk 2077's sales did not drastically increase because of Disturbia. Disturbia's sales increasing from Cyberpunk would be legally okay.
I like that male V has a chuckle when Skippy first starts humming. A shame that isn't carried over to female V. She just sounds annoyed at the tune. :(
Different personalities, which i find better. also as Dodger says for multiple playthroughs. This is only one area where the different gender makes a little bit of a differense
Female V gives more emotion at some cerrtain dialogue ingame. Both of them have their convincing expression and that'd make your 2nd playthrough more enjoyable.
I just picked stone cold killer then put pax mod on so it becomes non lethal so he never brings up the fact he wants to be taken to Regina and he still keeps his normal witty dialogue.
Skippy is a completionists worst nightmare. If you keep him you’ll have that unfinished quest in your quest log forever. If you return him, you clear the quest but now you permanently have a missing slot on your gun wall taunting you.
Hopefully they add some DLC with a side job to find the original owner/designer of Skippy and we can get him back or maybe a custom version for ourselves
@@funnymanmakesvideos7580 We dont know what CDPR could have plan. If more gamers request for skippy to come back. They could add him back side mission. Ain't like he's a main character
No. The direct reference to John Wick is there is a mission with a client named Sergei who is in trouble with the mob because he killed a hit man's dog.
Not that anyone will care but, I finally got Cyberpunk 2077. And before you ask, I'm playing pre patch at the moment. Is it God awful? Yes, do I think it's a train wreck? Oh totally, am I going to cherish it and all that jazz? Well what do you think?
I have to wonder how many people get the reference to the horrible microsoft word _clippy_ mascot all those years ago? It tried to kill people by nausea inducing cringe. No way I'm gonna give up this obnoxious piece though. But, skippy needs more cowbell.
So far I've seen potentially three Easter eggs. There is a Superman reference where a farming couple finds a boy in a "ufo" and while doing the delimane taxi return, the rogue AI's might all have a meaning but one is green and leads you under a bridge. Troll. Or it could be a nod to the mask with Jim Carry.
They lock your save file size at 8mb meaning you can't loot too much or your save file will corrupt itself. If you google this you will start seeing news articles about this issue. CDPR says that you aren't supposed to keep playing with the same character for too long and that you should roll a character as soon as possible after beating the main quest. That doesn't feel like Fallout New Vegas to me.
Once you’ve chosen the option to give back Skippy to regina, you can go use the cloning glitch at the vending machines. So you can give the original Skippy to Regina and still have it as yours.
Skippy gets copied onto the spider assault bot at the start of Phantom Liberty... 'I can move by myself..... I have BIG Guns... I can aim them myself!'
Skippy genuinely cracked me up of all the characters in Cyberpunk. Also Skippy voice actor when he was singing Bam bam bi bam bam song, it sounds like he almost break character and laugh during his singing.

probably cuz they didn't even know skippy changes modes after 50 kills. pretty sure the first youtuber i saw who uploaded skippy things had no idea then made another video saying what you should do lol
This is the first time I’m seeing this. Damn. Skippys going to lock me out at pacifist mode. Which might be ok as a cyber psycho tool to take them down no kill. Can still use it to take down enemies and then finish them off with another weapon.I am bummed and annoyed though that the several you tubers that talked about the gun never mentioned the outcome so I could make a more informed choice.
@@tenaciouschrome ok. I know some I’ve seen give a shout-out to other viewers and you tubers for finding some of these tips .I assumed since they’re showing footage they’ve played that they went through the game at least once. “Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and bullets of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And, by opposing, end them?”
Imagine how insane it would be iF someone managed to make a mod that allows him to be placed in ANY weapon. For example: Put his stone cold killer mode and smart aiming on an LMG... ;)
Fun fact: if you put one of the mods on skippy that reduces the killing to ‘none lethal’ he will stay on Stone Cold Killer forever, alternatively, you can use one of the cyber ware modification that renders all your guns none lethal. Also, if you want Skippy to stay happy, then just say you’ll return him…… and never do 😂
So if you want Skippy to have the best outcome, choose pacifist mode so he switches to killer mode. This way if you're planning on returning him, Regina won't reset him since he doesn't say "pacifist mode, permanent lock". At least not with you present, but she doesn't imply she'll reset him either.
I'm very happy I chose pacifist mode in the beginning because I was doing no-killing in the beginning of my first playthough. By the time I used Skippy for 50 kills, I wished I had the Stone Cold Killer mode. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the 50th kill and got the message.

The easiest way is to pick puppy loving pacifist mode, get 50 kills so it switches to stone cold killer. And then when Skippy actually ask you to return him to Regina, agree to do so. ..But never do it.. This way you still have one of the best guns in the game and the dialogue never switches to negative because you disagreed to take him back

She cares so much about cyberpsychos and believes they can be saved. YET she just kills him like that.
The fact that skippy hums disturbia while you wait is the fucking best
Yep, took me two times to catch the tune
Its funny that even though its a bit pitch shifted and out of beat that it is still recognizable enough but not too recognizable to risk copyright
@@KikomochiMendoza I can't find a single case of someone humming a song and getting hit with copyright crap. Is that even real?
@@grilledleeks6514 You do know how litigious corporations can be, especially media companies. If you so much as play 5 seconds of a song you can get hit by millions in copyright infringement. While commonly used against TH-camrs and streamers Big Companies are not immune to this. Its more common than you think for big companies to sue each other for copyright infringement.
If they blasted more than a % of the ACTUAL song, than they would be in trouble (also where people mistake this from thinking you only have to be "30% off" the original)
4) "the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work" Disturbia's sales were not negatively affected by the Easter Egg. Cyberpunk 2077's sales did not drastically increase because of Disturbia. Disturbia's sales increasing from Cyberpunk would be legally okay.
