A Weekend in Carlisle | Oak Bank Cottage Tour | Gretna Green

Hi everyone,
This week's video is a little different and a little choppy as this was a family trip to Carlisle. We stayed at Oak Bank #cottage in Scotby, Carlisle and absolutely loved our time here. It was such a luxury stay, such amazing views, lovely decor and it all just felt fancy (especially the red couch). We give a tour around the property which I really enjoyed watching back whilst editing as it was such a great stay!
We walked a long country road to Wetheral, we saw deer and sheep and it was a very scenic peaceful walk. We had a drink at Fantails when we got there in the beer garden which was brilliant on such a sunny day. We also decided to treat ourselves to ice cream which was very generously scooped. We later had our evening meal close to the cottage at The Royal Oak and we all loved our food here!
On the next day we went to #Gretna Green to see where my brother and sister in law got married. It was a much bigger location than we were expecting with lots of history. We enjoyed getting photos and exploring and it was fun to go to Scotland for the day! This day felt really special with the family.
Soon it was time for us to get the train back and we said goodbye to #carlisle for this trip. We wished we could have spent the whole week but we loved the time that we had here with the best company. We just filmed little clips from the trip but it's been great to watch back and hope if you're watching this you also enjoy!

Such a lovely place for a family trip! So beautiful. Love the cottage and great tour. I LOVE the color of the sofa. The outside surrounding area looks absolutely gorgeous!! Large kitchen too. Awe the animals out in the country ,so nice!! Cute little pub to check out. The buttermilk chicken burger made my stomach growl LOL! The stones are pretty neat. Looks like a fantastic time away!

Great video you’ll. The house is stunning inside and out. I could se myself living there especially with it being so peaceful and quiet. Wow…. Your burgers look fantastic! What a beautiful house, the decor is beautiful. I remember those TV stands, I think everyone had those back in the day.
Those burgers looked delicious.

I live about 10 minutes from gretna green , you didn t show much of carlisle as theres a castle and a museum , roman wall .

@@juliecowen3641 ah lovely! No unfortunately we were only there Friday evening until Sunday so didn’t get time for much exploring. It was a family holiday for my mums birthday so we were more just spending time together and a nice thing for us to look back on. The rest of the family were there for the week so they got to explore further. Thanks for watching
