I have Snatcher and Lords Of Thunder. Lords of Thunder is a good and underrated shooter but Snatcher is still my favorite SEGA CD game and is one of my favorite games of all time. It truly is a masterpiece.
Man, this list has brought back some amazing memories of playing games with my father. Some of my favorite games are on this list including my favorite game of all time (Lunar 2). My father recently sold his entire collection of old games for about $8000 (mostly Sega games and systems from the master system up to the dreamcast). Some of the prices here might have made him reconsider selling them all off at once to a single collector as a bulk package. Our version of Keio Flying Squadron was the much less valuable Japanese version at least. Awesome video!
Speaking of Fatal Fury Special ports, in the Sega CD version Ryo is playable from the start while the Neo Geo AES and MVS ports you have to unlock him by beating the game in one setting without losing a round and plus you have to face Ryo as a secret final boss, you beat him and he's unlocked.
I have PAL versions of Snatcher and Shining Force CD, both with spine cards which is nice. Lunar didn’t get a PAL release which always annoyed me, I would have loved to have played that back in the day.
Have the PAL versions of Shining Force CD (great, but no town scenes harm it), Earthworm Jim Special Edition (not my cup of tee) and Keio Flying Squadron (fantastic shooter with great music).
these prices are exactly why I bought a Genesis mini, hacked it and with a Memory stick I can play all of these (and more) on my little retro 16 bit Sega emulator.
@@moonshinegaming Truth? I've honestly never even played Popful Mail. I've never even put it in the sega cd. Before Working Designs shut down, they were selling their old sega cd games they still had on hand and I bought it directly from them.
I bought the two Lunar games back in 2005 (disc only) for twenty dollars each. I prefer the first Lunar game for Sega CD and the second one's Saturn version. Only regret I have in that regard is not buying even more games back when people sold low because they wanted to get rid of stuff.
Interesting to see the difference in price between PAL and US versions of these games. Many of them are way, WAY cheaper here in Europe while other games like Batman & Robin are significantly more expensive.
Got a bunch of these when they came out. Was a big supporter of the Sega CD. Just sold Popful Mail for $600 and Keio Flying Squadron for over $4,000. Have Lunar 2 and loved it but I think the PS1 version is better. The anime cut scenes are a big step up and the save system is far better on the PS1. Actually got Snatcher when it first came out but after finishing it I traded it in. Had no idea it was so rare. Lol.
Where did you sell it? I am currently holding lunar, lords of thunder, pop mail, the space adventure but I’m about to sell them to my local gaming shop for probably 50% of the price. I need some help selling
@@pepperonipog1575 I have a free who runs an Ebay shop called,Game Jager. Not really sure if I can help you with that. You might check around or try selling them yourself. Maybe you could find someone to help you. Otherwise a convention might be a good bet.
Got mine for $599 shipped just before the Covid boom in Dec 2019. Now it’s $1200+. I also happened to randomly find a spare snatcher registration card in my copy of who shot Johnny rock that I sold for $190. So I like to think of that as a coupon for snatcher. Lol
My personal favourite is Super Nintendo for nostalgia reasons, but I’d probably say the best console of all time has to be PS2 for its INSANE game selection
For that price, you could get a Japanese Neo Geo AES and the actual Fatal Fury Special... I mean, if you're gonna spend that kind of money, you can get the best version!
The SEGA CD was great but it was always expensive, that was part of why it was a failure, you could barely find one, it was expensive, the games were expensive, and was killed the next year by the 3DO which did the same stuff but far better., yes it was way more expensive than the sega CD but it ruined it´s "cutting edge" gimmick., i love the Sega CD, got great games and very impressive games for 1992 but nowadays got impossible levels of collecting, sega CD and Sega Saturn are absurdly expensive
I remember back when Sega was pushing the whole FMV for life thing with their games. At the time it was cool but didn't have the staying power of the non FMV games. I enjoyed final fight CD, snatcher, rise of the dragon, adventures of willy beamish, WWF rage in the cage, soulstar, and star wars rebel assault Thank God for emulation and things like retropie. I could never afford each game I wanted complete right now let alone 30 years ago lol.
..I've got me a CDM2 not long ago n definite remorse. Nothing but a motherfucker glorified Genesis for MP3s+FMVs (except Silpheed got to be the hardware pusher? A coupla other titles for brief moments? Fuck man)

"Radical Rex" and "Fatal Fury Special."

Space adventure is actually based off the anime space adventure cobra.
6 out of 10. Also, The Space Adventure is great because of the dialogue IMO.
