I sold all these games last year except for rule of rose which I sold 9 years ago and got 50 bucks and thought that was great. Lol I cry about it everyday.
Got xenosaga 3 out of a yard sale for three dollars when I was younger. Complete with manual, box art, and both discs. What a game. Sadly my mother sold all of my ps2 stuff as a bundle when I got the ps3.
I bought Rule of Rose in 2009 at GameStop for $15 because they didn't know what it was... I still own it and it's in pristine condition. I am shocked at how much it's worth now. I will not part with it because it's such a great game.
Great list! Every title you mentioned was very descriptive and well researched 😊 There’s literally no system better for horror titles than the PS2. Creativity ran wild and free for most developers in the early 2000’s, hence the huge number of unique and yes, weird games!!! Ahh I simply adore Rule of Rose, I love it so much, clunk, jank and all!!
I had a friend play all the way through "rule of rose" a couple years after it came out. It's a really weird kind of boring game. It does have some different adult themes to it though. I also think it takes first place for rarity and price tag.

Once in awhile I see a copy but it's either missing its DVD or manual. It's still a thorn in my side.
With around 1800 games released in North America there were bound to be a few expensive ones! Still lots of great games available for reasonable prices 👌
Shit, Silent Hill Shattered Memories will always have a place in my heart. I absolutely loved that game so fucking much. I’m a die hard Silent Hill fan, I love them all, I own most of them, although i am missing Silent Hill 4 the room for ps2. My favorites were in order 1. Silent Hill shattered memories 2. That trailer was known as “P.T.”, kojima bailed from the project and the demo was removed for download shortly after, consoles that downloaded the demo were selling for crazy prices because everyone wanted a taste of some current gen silent hill. Sad that he bailed on that project :(

I feel like you're stalking my ps2 collection 😆. 10/10. Most of them came from gamestop. I never sell my games. Obscure and haunting ground are the only ones I didn't buy at gamestop. Those were game crazy. Futurama and def jam the fight for New York are pretty valuable too just like samurai western and Jurassic Park operation genesis. Back in 2021 some guy offered me $1,000.00 for kuon, rule of rose and haunting ground. I laughed and said hell no. I told him the minimum I would take would be $1,500.00 . That would still be selling cheap.
Chulip is the only one I have complete. In fact, I have a sealed copy. Back after Gamestop did their 2012 fire sale on PS2 games, I ordered a "used" copy of this from their website for 75% off and with the Power-Up Rewards discount I ended up receiving a sealed copy for only 90¢! Since, I believe, it was a Gamestop exclusive here, they must not have sold many had an overstock of them in their warehouse and were just trying to offload them. If only anyone knew back then! The only other game I have on the list is a loose copy of Blood Will Tell. Also from the Gamestop fire sale and I think that was $4.99.

Some collectors like to have the games exactly as they were originally purchased. The inserts may not be game related but in order to say it’s “complete in box” the game needs to be in the exact state it was purchased in. Thanks for checking out the video!

It's my favorite genre, and it's hell when buying them. I've spent over $2000 in the last 4 months buying some older JRPGs that I always planned on buying but kept pushing it off. :( In contrast, FPS are the only genre that I don't care for, and they are usually a dime a dozen.
I have 6 of these games & I got all but 1 of them when Media Play went out of business for 20 bucks. I was looking for Resident Evil like games & found Obscure, Haunting Ground, Kuon, Rule of Rose, & Blood Will Tell @ that store. Just bought Echo Night Beyond last year for 130 off of ebay.
I don't have any of these games. I'm not into survival horror, and the Xenosaga series doesn't appeal to me all that much for some reason. My most expensive games for PS2 are Suikoden V and Mr. Mosquito, which are still relatively valuable. I believe that both of those games check all of the qualifiers for going up quite a bit in the future. My PS1, PSP, and Vita collections are my most valuable. My PS4 collection may get up there in due time, but only time will tell. I don't have my copy of Poop Slinger yet. 😄
Mr. Mosquito is a great game! I think you're right with it's value going up in the future. I'm curious to see the future of game prices for ps4 and xbox one games. Also, that poop slinger game is hilarious, what a crazy story for one of the most uncommon games on the PS4!

Funny I bought Kuon Pre-owned for $10 at GS long time ago & never touch the game. It's in my collection along with massive Most Expensive PS2 games. I think i have few NEW & SEALED copy Rules of ROSE :)
seeing the going price for some of these games, makes me super excited I got them years ago for the prices I did. about 8-10 years ago, here are the rough prices I was able to get them for: $130 - Rule of Rose $90 - Kuon $45 - Haunting Ground $30 - Obscure

Rule of rose $49.99 (used but, like new) Blood will tell $20.00 (brand new) Silent hill SM $15.00 (used) Haunting ground $30.00 (brand new) I've kept my entire ps2 collection in tact. Every game i own for ps2 is complete in box with manuals. Good job picking up obscure for cheap i wish i'd done the same😊

Natsume didn't actually develop Chulip! It was developed by punchline who's only other game just so happens to be rule of rose. Most of the punchline team came from the remnants of another studio called Luv De Lic who has a cult following for their super weird and unique adventure games. Other members from that studio would go on to form Skip the studio that made chibi robo.
Thank god I stopped my mom from throwing away my copy of Rule of Rose a few years ago. Never imagined it’d become a collectible item.

I have 6 of these games & I got all but 1 of them when Media Play went out of business for 20 bucks. I was looking for Resident Evil like games & found Obscure, Haunting Ground, Kuon, Rule of Rose, & Blood Will Tell @ that store. Just bought Echo Night Beyond last year for 130 off of ebay.

I don't have any of these games. I'm not into survival horror, and the Xenosaga series doesn't appeal to me all that much for some reason. My most expensive games for PS2 are Suikoden V and Mr. Mosquito, which are still relatively valuable. I believe that both of those games check all of the qualifiers for going up quite a bit in the future.
My PS1, PSP, and Vita collections are my most valuable. My PS4 collection may get up there in due time, but only time will tell. I don't have my copy of Poop Slinger yet. 😄
Mr. Mosquito is a great game! I think you're right with it's value going up in the future. I'm curious to see the future of game prices for ps4 and xbox one games. Also, that poop slinger game is hilarious, what a crazy story for one of the most uncommon games on the PS4!

Natsume didn't actually develop Chulip! It was developed by punchline who's only other game just so happens to be rule of rose. Most of the punchline team came from the remnants of another studio called Luv De Lic who has a cult following for their super weird and unique adventure games. Other members from that studio would go on to form Skip the studio that made chibi robo.
