The ending changed me
THE CHINESE ROOM. DROP A DLC/ANOTHER GAME FOR STILL WAKES THE DEEP, AND MY LIFE. IS YOURS.
MAKE IT SO THAT WE PLAY AS ANOTHER CREW MEMBER IN THE DLC! LIKE FINLAY, OR SCOOB FOR EXAMPLE!
@@DanceFacility FACTS
What I think they should do, is make a DLC where it shows what happened before everything went to shit. Like Caz just working on the oil rig before the stuff happened.
Or it could show the POV of Brodie, O Connor, Finlay, maybe even Rennick
Maybe it could show the aftermath of the ending, what if the explosion didnt kill the shape? What if somebody found the wreckage?
Very good to see a Scottish born game, very realistic in terms of character behaviour and visuals
You mean the few bits of NPC interaction there was? Bro even callisto protocoll had better storytelling and more actual Plot than this
@@AbuHajarAlBugattiwhat he means is whenever there are Scottish characters portrayed in almost all media, it's common for said media to just get someone to do an accent and it never ever lands for us.
Nice to see someone actually be and use Scottish people for the project.
This game looks incredibly accurate to an Rig. I was on them for 8 years
This game proved one thing to me.
Whatever you’re going through, it will never be as bad as Cameron McLeary.
And Suze will never know the struggle of his heroic sacrifice 🥲 also Roy..
Hope this gets horror game of the year or whatever award is necessary
Guys you crafted a truly terrifying experience. The oil rig was a genius idea as it's just scary to be on some raised man made metal island surrounded by raging water.
The horror for me came full force when I was trying to reset the protective relay and I went to toss a helmet towards the opposite side of the room to lure the monster away and quickly slip into the control room, and the helmet dinged off a pipe right above me and I was hiding in a duct. My heart jumped, and I backed deeper into the duct as the monster came slopping toward the duct entrance and started reaching into the space trying to feel for me. As it was doing this I saw the face all twisted and sunken into this mass of blob. It was terrifying.
When I paused the game after finally hitting the relay switch to have a smoke break, I noticed I was tensed up and was holding my breath. I had to consciously relax lol
I just finished it for the 2nd time and i'm probably going to start a new game before the day is over.
I love it.
Seriously.
I love everything about it.
The visuals, the lighting, the colours, the environmental details, the great storytelling, the characters, their relationships and stories and the way they feel absolutely 3Dimensional.
As an urbex lover i adore the location and the way you get to explore its different sections, Sound Design is the stuff of nightmares and it really brings the horror to life, the Soundtrack that seems to mimic the creature's sounds is otherwordly haunting with some very emotional moment.
I love how every section of the game is designed like a movie sequence, its ability to always keep you on the right path without ever making it obvious, without ever pushing you out of the story.
I love its beauty, its darkness, its mistery, the funny moments, the drama, and last but not least the incredible acting that makes every dialogue, every joke, every scream, every jump sound genuinely real.
Did i say i love it?
This is really something guys, thanks for creating this, i hope you get all the recognition you deserve.
This is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. The horror part is amazing as it is but the environment and the storytelling is absolutely amazing. There was multiple times where I sat back watching the scene and taking it all in, truly deserving of every award it can get.
Started playing as soon as it came out and finished it in almost one sitting, has to be one of the best games I’ve ever played. The story and atmosphere were phenomenal!
The voice acting is perfect
Wanted to drop by to let you know you have created a masterpiece of a game. The balance between story, playability, voice acting, tension, beautiful visuals, and actually caring about the characters was handled with attention and care and you can clearly tell. It was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to see what you guys come up with next. Congratulations on this excellent game.
I will remember this experience for a long time, thank you very much! the quality you have created is amazing!❤
This game is so good, I found the dialogue feels so realistic, I imagined the lads I've worked with saying/reacting exactly how the games characters do, definitely looking more at the Chinese rooms other games
yeah the dialogue was really good its exactly how blokes would talk
Just finished the game tonight 😢 OMG loved it every minute of it this should be a movie 🎥
Would definitely work as a movie. I do think the game makes you connect with Caz more than a movie ever could though.
I finished this game, and loved it so much that I started another playthrough the next day. I also went to play Everybodys Gone To The Rapture for the first time. I'm listening to the soundtracks while walking my dog, and i'm thinking about these characters and their stories.
beautiful game in my home country. absolutely gorgeous authentic voice acting with a real feel for the culture we have in scotland. environmental story telling at it's finest and this whole thing WILL stay with me for a long time. more please. Maybe do something based in Faslane where they keep the subs or one of the remote islands.
This is one of those rare games in my life that i am gonna play for many times and gonna love more each time i play❤️
Not gonna lie, those power point presentations are, like, really ace. I like the fade in design and the organization of ideas.
Scotland, lovecraftian horror, oil rig, and... labour violations! Brilliant. One of the best games I've ever played. Its a low bar but the authentic scottish slang is fantastic.
As a Australian I absolutely love the game. The characters are brilliant and funny at times. That accent is brilliant 😂😂
I'm really looking forward to Starting this game tonight. I love the passion and research the team have put into it. Games like this are a work of art. And I feel it's smaller teams in the game industry that are telling these great stories, taking risks that hopefully have a lasting quality.
You guys gave this game so much love and that paid off. No rushing it. No cash grabber. Just a solid, fantastic, beautiful game.
Will be as quickly forgotten as all the other bad Soma/Amnesia/Alien isolation copies that released the past 5 years
I was interested but wasted 4 hours of my life and left in shock how bad the storytelling and how boring the plotline was, which is all such a gameplay can and should revolve about.
Its story csn be essily summed up it these short lines: autistic violent guy away from his family on a oilplatform gets fired, then they bore into some old lair, the alien whatever it is mutates them all, you try to flee, your obviously corrupt boss obvioulsy leaves you, everyone dies and you sacrifice yourself bla bla thats it.
And I havent even missed anything.
I hope next time they give us a game with a real story and lore. Like the Last Station but in 3D
@@AbuHajarAlBugattiSounds like you missed out big time
@@lesterbronson2385 no I like the first mentioned games more, thats why I see this games plot as way less compelling. I love anything with bore islands and ships on sea. But didnt enjoy this here after the first hour anymore and the ending was just Meh, as there was no real emotional connection established as you even forget halfway through the game that dude even had a family.
If you want a game which looks a bit more primitive at first glance, but way more interesting and deep story that allows you to bend your head for months after, also where the core goal is of dad trying to reach his daughter. But the environmental and direct storytelling aswell as the story itself are unique. It plays in a alternative reality, time kinda unknown, generations after a Alien visitation who destroyed a entire region. Now you wake up go to your normal workday as trainconductor and while traveling the country quickly the world goes down hill drastically and you see it all happening as the visitors return. First seen by gas emitting giant capsules dropped like bombs across the country, turning people into zombielike beings. But the visitors are yet to be seen. As you run the last functioning train the government has you doing 2 human survival critical deliveries while you only want to get back to your daughter and hopefully get to a bunker. But of course things never go easy.
Love these mini docs...any plan to add them to the game?
Best game I have ever played and it’s a bonus being Scottish as well, you should definitely make a co-op mode so me and my mate can play together like caz and Brodie or Finlay!
Make the DLC a rescue mission or a team of people trying to find out what happened on the BEIRA rig.
Incredible job to everyone who worked on the game!!! I finished it the other day and thought it was beautiful! :D
phenomenal game! the monsters are absolutely terrifying
Just finished this and it was amazing, this was one of the best voice acted games I've ever played, that along with the story was just so good.
Fantastic game guys, thanks for all the hard work that was put in - you all should be really proud. Just one tiny thing bothered me though. The yellow paint guiding me everywhere ruined the experience a little. Kinda felt like someone was backseat gaming me and not letting me figure it out by myself. Adding in a difficulty where this is disabled would make this game perfect.
I deeply want to congratulate the entire team for making a piece of art that will haunt us for years to come. Brilliant work, hope you guys keep making great quality games!
Beast of a game you have here, with love from MEX❤
Near the end, brilliant in every way.
And the voiceover OMG!
Amazing game. Already looking forward to new horror project
First walking sim I wanted to buy. Great ideas. Id love a sequel or something better
Cant wait to play this. Just purchased it. Looks visually amazing. Would be awesome if you guys did a remaster of Rapture 🤙
What a job you guys done with this game. Please make another game with Scottish characters!
You guys did an excellent job and making this game and I hope you all know your hard work truly paid off. I am a small TH-camr looking to make a review on this game and I would love to know more about The Trawlerman and why you guys decided to include it in the game and what's the meaning of it.
Anyway you did a great job and thank for the great game.
brilliant game guys I throughly enjoyed it - well done 👏
Definitely one of the best games ive ever played. Just finished it.... Cant wait for more from these developers
this game is really creepy, and makes me so sad.U guys did a great work🎉
I absolutely loved this game, I've beat it twice just today 🤣 I need two more achievements to fully 100%. I need "Findlay Destination" and "Not So Good with the leccy" (both secret achieve) I'll get these on a third play through tomorrow completely forgot to do these on my 2nd run 🤣
Not a lot of traditional gameplay per say, no combat or anything just a lot of walking/jogging, some light puzzles and QTEs but I didn't care at all. The atmosphere, setting, art direction, story and voice acting was absolutely 10/10.
I'm Scottish myself from Glasgow so seeing authentic Scottish characters in a game using language that we all use daily was an absolute dream to play.
Caz was an excellent protagonist, the relationships with the crew and especially Roy was top notch even though a lot of it was off screen, You really felt it when someone died. There are two moments before the finale that legit got me emotional.
I wish there was more to this and I even feel like they had an opportunity to do multiple endings or give us some choices throughout the game that will effect what happens, maybe we could save some characters but that's just a nit pick though.
The creature design was creepy and well done and the sound rivaled Hellblade 2 for me, not so much in the same ways as HB2 but purely as a means of emersion. Playing with headphones is highly recommended.
This is my first ever time trying one of The Chinese Rooms games and boy they have a new fan in me. Can't wait to see what comes next.
I played on Xbox Series X if you have Gamepass it's a no brainer. I will absolutely be buying this though on PS5 so I can support the devs and go for the platinum on my PSN account.
My score is 9/10.
I worked offshore for 8 years, this game is incredibly accurate.
Some rigs hadn't changed much since the 60's it seems 🤣
Rusty as hell
Cant wait to play it! Ordered physical copy so waiting for it to turn up on Saturday. Looks so good
just finished the game and was really enjoyable. Definitely worth a look at.
The Scottish Dialog is amazing
the only reason I start the game was the lovely Scottish accent
YOU BRing the POLICE to my door to MY rig!
Good game the voice acting was really good too.
DO NOT DENY ME MY DLC THE CHINESE ROOM.
Underrated asf
Finished the game i enjoyed it once things got going. Maybe they'll bring another one out similar style but a different location an issue going on
Say it with me guys, SEQUEL!
I love this game so far. But there is a game breaking bug near the end of the game in the lift section where the monster is supposed to break the door, but it won't even move. I'm currently stuck and can't finish the game
This game is masterpiece
This game was so fucking good, but I wish there was some way caz could have lived
the ending
Please take your time on VTMB2
🔥🔥🔥
The monsters actually a Cancer 😅
❤Great game.
I love and hate this game its an incredible story with insane intensity to get anyone on their toes but ffs the whole game is an emotional rollercoaster fr actually messed me up
Did we play two different games? Never played something so predictable and boring. Amnesia and especially Soma had me thinking about the lore for Months. This predictable boring walking game without any real lore or story I will forget in two weeks sadly. Waste of my money. And making the ending about a woman only heard and mentioned in the intro of the game is also silly expecting a emotional response because of a person totally forgotten jntil the end part
You must be fun at parties miserable git @@AbuHajarAlBugatti
@AbuHajarAlBugatti Yeah Soma is definitely a lot better, and the character wasn't so autistic. Idk why he keeps saying Jesus, and not as fun as Soma
@@AbuHajarAlBugatti you must be fun at parties miserable git bloody hell
What is the ending? It’s a cliffhanger is it a dream or what
It's open for you to decide. What do you think?
Honestly i think he did die but that room sequence was his after life or something.
Also this game was amazing i love the idea of waking an lovecraftian style horror
I really wanted to enjoy this as the atmosphere is amazing but the atmosphere for me is spoilt when the yellow paint strikes again marking out the pathway.... come on developers give us players some credit for working out a game without all the hand holding please.
Who speaks English like that😅😅
Game sucks
Sorry but the game sucked.
More like „we got soma at home“
Or „we got amnesia or aliens isolations at home“
Or the other 50 games after those that only copied them but in worse: boring walking simulators, non combat, avoiding some weird monster while your only interactions with NPC is them telling you to run from one chore to another for them while they sit lazily around or predictably all die while you predicate end up either the lone surviving hero or usually like here just dead. Even worse is this game has no background lore throughout on anything really.
This game had a strong start for 20 minutes and the rest was really boring and predicatble. And the ending is the worse. Nobody cares about suze and his relationship after 1 single letter from her in the intro and 1 phrase at the start about him having children. Nobody cares lol.
I sound like a butt but im just shocked John Cormack had his hand in this.
Verdict: 3/10 would never play again and will forget it in two weeks. Sad for the developers
Yeah it's more funny than scary, but it's okay so far, especially with the big head Bobble Head Mutated Alien Boss. I'm not finished with it yet. Just tired of hearing Jesus for every little thing he complains about. The game def took inspiration from Soma, but it misses at times, and who wants to read Scottish subtitles? I wanna hear it
3/10? You just have bad taste, mate. Go play COD or something
@@lesterbronson2385 call of duty is just as bad. But nice immature response, especially if call of duty is all you can come up with
Ending is hard bro why does it end like that
