What's funny is that this is a game that Rudy of Alpha Investments promoted after FAB. Remember Rudy does not Trust Ravensburger/Lorcana but Rudy trusted this brand and IP.
@portalmasterry6765 no problem with rudy & other promoters getting game off the ground but shouldn't have agreed to long term deal with any of them. Metazoo failed its COMMUNITY. If it focused on the community as much as target, walmart, sanrio etc etc etc...etc etc etc...this company would have sustained incremental growth...but Mike gave us a BIG F.U...Mike gutted metazoo. 1 man wrecking crew

Bankrupt over a million or two? They couldn't raise that to get out of the hole? Something isn't adding up, Mr. Benihana is worth like 100 million himself. That seems like a trivial amount to tank such a lucrative business over.
The money was squandered and used to create hype to get the next round of $. It was like a TCG pyramid/ponzi scheme. They should sticked with the TCG and focused on that but the decided to go all out not knowing the risk and the fact that they were running on hype.

After retaining the lawyer, they said they would be releasing a list of artists that would be getting paid back & in which order. They retained the lawyer in the first stream & have made thousands since with NO update on that list. Is Mike &/or Bailey pocketing the rest of the money raised? Is anybody actually going to talk about this?

When they update the creditor list it should include all the artists and the exact number each one is owed will all be public if they have not been paid back. What we can see right now is very rough, but we will be able to see all the exact number and specifics soon

If they had preorder more stuff from metazoomarketplace and stop whining about stuff that hasnt arrived all the time, metazoo would not have file for bankruptcy. Well boys, we can rest easy knowing metazoo is officially dead on paper. Let's hope someone picks up this IP and gives it the tender love and care it deserves. Ohh I remember good ol'days having to say Amikuk burrow at the end of each turn.

Remember folks Rudy of Alpha investments had high hopes for this brand IP. Considering Rudy won't even touch Disney's Lorcana TCG but hyped Metazoo, just goes to show how much hype equity Rudy gave this brand only to fail because of so and so.
Creditors list looks to be alphabetical order. Am I missing something? Bankruptcy is filed to avoid paying creditors and NOT to enable the paying of creditors. For example, "After any administrative expenses are paid, no funds will be available to unsecured creditors." So, unsecured creditors are screwed. Lawyers will likely get the bulk of the money, lol.

@@nicksstrengthandpokemon6353 Probably easier to define secured. Think of a car loan or a house mortgage. Those are secured loans where the car or house are collateral. If you don't pay, the agency with the secured loan gets the car or house. Common shares in stocks are unsecured, meaning when a big corporation like GM goes bankrupt, common shareholders tend to lose everything. In the case of Metazoo, all those who prepaid for product that they have not received are likely never going to see the product or a dime from the bankruptcy. A buyer could emerge, but they would be silly to buy before all the debt was disposed of in the bankruptcy. Note that bankruptcy doesn't negate the possibility of a criminal investigation. This is how I understand things. I am not a Lawyer, so I could be entirely wrong, lol. None of this is legal advice.

500 pallets of booster boxes, 500 booster boxes per pallet alone. Even at $3 a booster box that should be $750,000 alone. And that doesn’t even include all the other product AND whatever is not at golden. A 500k valuation would mean they value booster boxes less than $1 wach
