i cant speak for all of it but 'HR" and the guy that handled payroll was a freelancer that came in once every 2 weeks to send payroll and that was it.

He was extremely incompetent, spending lavishly, moving to a more expensive apartment, and putting himself on a pedestal without paying people. He was self-centered, demanding respect even when it had nothing to do with MetaZoo.

I would be interested to hear a lawyer's perspective on all of this. Shaw was COO of MZ and if Mike just bailed one day (didn't fire Shaw beforehand, didn't file for bankruptcy, etc) and the company was left without a CEO, and no Board to appoint one from what I gather, who is then in charge of MZ? Aoki? Could it actually fall to Shaw being the COO?
How can Mike come back in after the fact and say if Shaw is/isn't an employee at any specific point when it appears that he just up and left the company (did he supposedly fire Shaw before leaving)? How do you lose all of your tax information and the entirety of your books to someone who isn't an employee?
I know people tend to have this habit where they quickly take sides back and forth (Shaw v. Mike) in the comments or on other social media but it doesn't always seem so black and white, to me at least. Especially since people seem to be personally invested in one or the other being right. The truth will come out in the end.
Might have to flex the main channel numbers to make it happen but I would love to see a collab with Nick and Legal Eagle covering the legal nitty gritty of all this

I would be salty as fuck as well if i was owed thousands for storage fee, mike not paying, and me about fo auction everything off to then mike turn around and file bankruptcy to halt my auction. Now shaw is really screwed in getting his owed money + not being able to auction the dump cards and sitting in storages

Really funny how from the sound of it the only reason this bankruptcy finally was filed was because of the squabbling between Mike and Shaw and them being salty at each other lol
Shaw had 3-4 months to have initiated a Notice of Auction but decided to sit on his hands for whatever reason while Mike was MIA for 3-4 months because he just threw his hands in the air and left the bankruptcy work for the others still left at Metazoo to deal with.
Just unprofessional and greedy people at the "Top Brass". They did keep it hidden well from the community by suppressing our "FUD" and concerns though - rewarding the positive and penalizing the critical.
You clearly arent following/ comprehending the situation.
Like in the Dark Knight...Shaw is living long enough to see himself become the villain throughout the death of MZ.

I contacted the Trustee. Waiting for him to get back to me. Could take a while if Mike doesn't even know his finances. I can't imagine anyone buying or bidding if no one knows what is owed, the assets, or basic financial information.

@@nicksstrengthandpokemon6353 The lawyer fees are ticking up on both Shaw and Mike. Eventually they won't be able to delay anymore and will need to cooperate with the trustee to reach a resolution. IMO. This is a tier A opportunity. As I learn more about metazoo, I more and more impressed what they achieved without running the business properly. If someone like you were able to get a hold of it... it could be much bigger. My SO would love to start a hello kitty cafe that gives plush and cards when you buy a certain amount of boba tea.
Great video, as always, even though you don't have to do it. I'm decently deep into the zoo since i got into it in 2021, but just consider it nostalgic dead weight. Will always hold a good part in the history of my life. At this point, personally, I'm not upset anymore. Anger is pointless. I got myself into it. I understand those who are who haven't received product or refunds.

Sucks from a collectors standpoint. Im hooked on metazoo collecting and wish somebody would pick up the IP but it looks like 25-50yrs down the line is when MZ will turn antique and fingers crossed the cards will be worth a lot of $. Otherwise fingers crossed somebody unsinks the titanic so we get some new sets cause there is still very much a market for these cards
