That smoke is lethal, lol. I was in Baton Rouge centroplex back in the late80's and the smoke eater c pipe came loose and my eyes burned so bad, I kept watching but my eyes watered for hours.
Newer, stock Chevy's always get scared and start knocking their knees together (front tires) You would think guys would quit trying after seeing that happen so often lol
It is called a Pinion Brake. A lot of mud trucks have this. It's done because they stop on a dime, are lighter (1 disc/caliper pair per axle, not 2)... and putting discs at the wheels on a Rockwell is EXPENSIVE.
Now just imagine if there was a malfunction so bad, it would cause these diesels (where applicable) to consume their own oil and literally run away, that would make fail compilations like these more interesting
Noah Ater It happens. But most of the high power diesel trucks also run a valve that can shut off the air intake at the engine so it’ll still choke it out.
With the kind of power these things make, they're already at the absolute physical limit of the parts, as soon as it runs away and starts making more power they'll probably blow. But like the other dude said, they have kill valves.
What kinda of track conditions around 27:15 officials should of at least took a little extra time to smooth that washboard out WOW!! EXCELLENT VIDEO 👍👍👍👍👍
At where in the video? 27 minutes is the end. I am assuming the middle. It was the first time they brought pulling there and they use architectural dirt, basically strong enough to build houses on. Well it made ruts and and they chose not to bring in the NTPA's preferred crews and went with local associations. They people know dirt and they dirt the best they could. But you need the heaviest equipment to move dirt properly. Thank you for your kind words.
It's actually helps when tapping on left or right break to guide you back into center but the more you tap less distance you want about 6 to 9 inches on the front in for better pull anything more an your 12 hitting the wheelie bar it's all about gearing an.weights with track conditions.👊
5:45 I cannot stop laughing at the guy frantically steering while the front wheels are nowhere near the ground :D GOOD LUCK CHIEF! :P thing probably would have flipped when it landed at full lock if it wasn't for the sled behind him. Can anyone share the reason why those particular "tractors" have front wheels that were stolen from a sack trolley in any case? they seem woefully inadequate even if the front end isn't in the air :O
I will be filming in Ocala Florida February 7th and 8th, Friday and Saturday I think. And then they will be at the Clay County Fair April 10th and 11th I think. facebook.com/Mid-Florida-Tractor-Pullers-Association-249768985437497/
The rebuild lasted as long as the exhaust extraction system Did they say come and watch the racing bring ear muffs and a respirator Captions are great 👍
The kid with the red 2 wheel drive at 17:37 could always just put the pins in the hood latch and it wouldn't be flopping around like a piece of junk. If he wants to make it on the wild rides videos he needs to do something more impressive than forgetting to latch his hood lol

Ya know? The blow ups and such are cool but I gotta say...I love the full pulls better. Thanks for this video. Good stuff.
Thanks for watching! So, do you want a best of video?
@@WWPTV That would be awesome! Thanks.
The editing on this video was done very well. The captions at the bottom are a nice addition
Thank you!
If only people knew the difference between lose and loose.
I love the sound the engines make when they spool up
Can someone please tell me why the diesels smoke so much once fully spooled up?
If i had a Answer i would tell u
@@VauxhallViva1975 it has to do with unburnt diesel

The smoke tube is the closest I've seen to a sled fail.
4:32 that just had to linger forever!!
I love his smartass remarks lmfao especially when he says "he must hate signs to" that part killed me
Why do some puck-ups have a brake on the front axle? ex. 23:00

Them diesels could make a lot more power at lower EGT's if they didn't burn half the fuel in their exhaust.

It's quite comical to see the drivers cranking on the steering wheel when the front end ISN'T touching the ground!

Has anyone ever tried springs or some type of suspension on the front of the tractors? Or is that even allowed?
Depends on the rules. Each class is different.
Some of the newer chassis have independent front suspention
7:46 my most favorite
Top notch videos!!!
I like Brian great guy
Tractor pulls inside a building are just a waste of time
They definitely need more weight on the sled!!!!!!
51st 👍's up guys thanks for taking us all along with you
15:35 That place must be on a budget with those fire extinguishers
At 8:49 I have never seen a truck give up all at once like that before
I can hear just how loud that tractor is at 1:49 all the way here in the comments section

I guess at 19.46 he was wearing a skirt cause the bow tie would have done better
Holly cow
A lot of those Official guys could do with a decent extinguisher. One of them looks like he was using a deodorant aerosol on a fire. Waste of time.
