enemies could always be dropped, and there is a proper animation for it. This is the enemy breaking free after being held for too long. It's just something I've seen nearly everyone get wrong so figured I would note it. Fighter's block is incredibly strong as SHOULD be used in its hold form as well. There will be archers, and multiple assailants, where its often ideal to mitigate multiple attacks before retaliating. Blocking has always been extremely effective.
No gloves or gauntlets and leg and boots appear combined. I hope it's only a demo thing.
I hope so too, because reducing/simplifying customization and one of the most praised things from the first game would be a wild choice.

1:31:00 the arisen didn't miraculously heal here. That's another scene look at the arisen clothes. Ulrika helped the arisen two times. That scene was the second time she helped, the arisen just fainted. The burn wounds occurred earlier (maybe a while ago) than that specific scene.

Thanks for the coverage, incredibly useful info that helped me decide what class to start with. Part of me hopes maybe thief gets a little toned down to encourage build variety but a power fantasy is part of the fun. Least until the BBI equivalent comes along and kicks everyone in the teeth lol.
I also need the mystic spearhand injected directly into my veins.
Especially after the new trailer showed a magic doppelganger, this Mystic Spearhand propaganda is so hard to pass up

The "Log Updates" section (at 16:59) is just to show recent events/acquired items, not necessarily just wakestones. Helpful addition to keep track of what's been recently picked up, especially with pawns nabbing anything that isn't nailed down.
There has been some footage of Warrior pawns, but it's been very sparse and not high quality. I've seen the spinning slash from the first trailer as well as War Cry, and some vertical attack that looks similar to Whirlwind Slash, but without the initial stab. There was also a move where the warrior pawn held the sword in both hands with it facing forward and did a short step, but the footage didn't show more than that. Maybe some sort of "ready" stance that can be used to step dodge and perform attacks from, but that's just my guess.
Great video overall though, very comprehensive. Hoping to get more footage from Gamescom Asia.
I need to find out where people have this footage from because I must've went through 30 videos getting everything unique I could. Appreciate the compliment, though, and yes can't wait to see more. Hopefully we get new info soon!

10:35 the numbering system for those 4 buttons looks like it was modeled after 4 button fighting games like Tekken and Mortal Kombat. For someone like me, it’s not an issue but for someone who doesn’t play those types of games, it seems very counterintuitive (which it actually sort of is.)

I’ve only just played the first game yesterday, it’s a free game with PSN plus membership. I think it’s a special game, and groundbreaking when it was released. I’m not gonna finish the first one but I’m totally excited for the second game 🎉

Maybe a weird question but I would really love to see a video in the future of the improved AI of your pawns. Since in Dragon's Dogma 1 they were kind of goofy from time to time. Hope that's possible.
Will there be more skills to learn for each vocation or is this it when it comes to Archer, Thief, Magician and Fighter?
Just a thought, maybe just maybe, the sorcerers ice spell is a mix of glacial and frigor from Dragons Dogma 1.
I can't wait for this game, I'm just disappointed that it comes out the day after my spring break. A full week of time off from class and i get to wait for it. XD I wish they would have given a week early for those of us who preordered.

I'm excited to get the demo, which I hope is soon, because I feel like I have not been able to get a good look at the graphics at all, all the videos I've seen have been screen captures or from a phone and it is not doing it justice.

Can we quickslot or keybind healing items so we wont need to enter the meny everytime we want to heal? :D seems very annoying and immersive breaking to me.

Yeah I don’t really like all that extra stuff when it comes to showing the pawns image on the hud , I guess if they give us some good personal options to customize it on console then it will be alright
Might as well hide hud except for healthbars imo. I kinda like no minimap a lot of times

@OSKGaming123 Yea man I play exclusively no hud or just healthbars anyway. Map information was never really something I wanted or needed, and same goes for the controls

Fighter will not have dodge his shield is his dodge and fighter from what iv seen can use his 2 handed sword to parry attacks and retaliate with a followup strike.

The real important question that I want answered (that Capcom didn't answer) is when will this game get released?
I'm guessing in 2024, cause Capcom doesn't showcase games that are more than a year out. I'm also curious to know if this is more of a reboot or a sequel, or both? I've read that the Devs have stated that this is the game they originally envisioned but had to scale the original way back due to budget constraints. And the shown footage seems more like a re-imagining than a true sequel.
There isn't a confirmed timeline, but I've seen several news articles speculate Spring 2024.
the thing about the lore is, everything is just a great cycle that keeps repeating, so sequel/prequel/reboot amounts to about the same thing :)

Idk if anyone has mentioned this but I noticed in one video somewhere I dont have the source, theres multiple styles of smithing, I saw Vermundian smithing so I'm assuming there will be Battahlian smithing and maybe more
Hoping beyond what looks like Bluemoon tower, is Gransys. The fact Bluemoon was covered in fog, and people were told not to show things in that direction, gives me hope. Would make sense geographically and especially to explain how the game can be 4 times the size. I sincerely hope for more than 2 cities as for me, the journey between them is one of the most meaningful adventures.
@@MatthewManney It would be cool but I think this game is in not in the same world as gransys, i could be wrong but i think i read somewhere that its a parallell or alternative world. Atleast its confirmed we get 1 more kingdom compared to DD1 tho so atleast theres more than 1 city to explore
@ultramarine2675 Yea I'm somewhat glad about that but it hasn't actually been confirmed it is a different universe. Its a bit up to interpretation. The parallel universe thing has always been a part of the game and doesn't imply it excludes Gransys. With the geographical location of Bluemoon and them trying to hide it in the demo, I have my fingers crossed 🤞 I am expecting to be disappointed, and for the game to have the total classes exposed in the demo, as well as super limited gear customization, but maybe they will surprise us
@@MatthewManney Total classes exposed in the demo? the game director said at the end of the in depth showcase "There are other unique vocations to look forward to" which im guessing atleast 4 new vocations that they havent showed off.
And yeah I dont like how theres no more undergarments in the game too i wish they kept that from DD1
@ultramarine2675 In the demo footage people showed the equipment screen and it had all the available vocation icons. This includes archer, thief, fighter, mage, sorcerer, warrior, mystic spearhead, magic archer, and 1 or 2 question marks. So considering we may only get 1 or 2 more vocations is worrysome.
In one of the first videos i saw a female mage doing a spell using a morningstar in front of a bridge. Does is that a new weapon, perhaps?

In the first one you had Grigori (the really big one, does not respawn), Ur-Dragon (raid boss, respawns) and some Lesser dragons that do respawn

I foresee this game being bashed real hard for not having multiplayer. The formula of having strictly AI assisted companions would have worked 10 years ago but not in 2023/2024.
The first game has been picking up steam in recent years despite having AI companions, so I don't think it's a much of a deal breaker as people think it will be.
Also, I've been hearing rumors of endgame multiplayer dungeons. Not confirmed, but would be cool if true.

I'm not 100% sold. While the game has an upgrade... it really seems like an Revamped version of the original game. I'm hoping to see something different.. but it wont keep me from playing. Its just that for some reason.. I'm not as excited as I feel I should be.
is think is perfect. the fist game was severely limited by time and budget, they are finally making the game they were never quite able to in the first place. nothing really needs to changed imo, just polished and developed upon.
