if you are going to sit in your car for awhile, for example, I took a nap in a rest stop during a long trip. turn off the motion sensor. it is the buttom up next to onstar. I got a rude awaking from my alarm going off because i shifted in my seat during my nap. I am 6' 1" and was able to sleep in the seat for a few hours. also do not rev your car when you first start it up. let the oil circulate a bit before stomping on it.
Thank you for your hints and tips. I'm going to buy a Z/06 and knowing these things makes the car more enjoyable. The feature I like best and is the most practical is the diming dashboard.
Sweet car!!! Does the option model you have come with the adjustable pass-thru exhaust so that you can make it louder (or quite) as standard equipment (or is it another option)?
I noticed when you unlocked the passenger door, the side mirror opened up. My C8 Stingray HTC doesn’t do that. As a matter of fact I always have to close the mirrors when I park as I lock the door from inside before leaving the car as I don’t want to have to take the key fob out of my pocket to lock the car. When you explained remote mirror folding, for some reason it doesn’t work when locking the car from inside 😢.
There is no key access behind the rear lisence plate post '23 models. GM removed that option, a core drill is now required to get into the rear hatch if power is lost and can not be restored😬
You’re right, sorry I totally missed that. The Chevy rep that I spoke to didn’t informed me about the update. It’s possible he also didn’t know. There’s a few people on forms saying they need to drill to it to make it work on the 24 year models.
Chevrolet with out the Hard T sir.... hahaha I'm just teasing nice color on that car; my concern is this; how will this color would look on a C8 z06 and if its shows dirt really easy\. Anyway I gotta subscribe good presentation
I have a Cacti Green C8 and I find it to be very forgiving when it comes to dirt, not at all like how dirt shows on a dark paint color. Hope you got your order in, they dropped the color for 2025. Also, I believe they made less than 2000 C8 with this color, so it is about as rare as it gets.
You’re correct, the chevy rep who I was talking to probably didn’t know about the new change and didn’t tell me. But after looking online this change happened to the 2024 models. There’s some people also modding it to have that ability again.
I love the car. I’m thinking about getting one once I find out about this transmission situation that they’ve been having. Maybe this is not the model.
@@alphaomegastables I do agree you don’t have to get all the options and make the car cost as much as a Ferrari! But I think I would cut corners elsewhere. The automatic convertible, if you want to remove the roof, is a must.
One of the downsides to the convertible is you can't see the engine. The convertible mechanism covers the engine. I like seeing my engine thru the glass, so a convertible, for me, is a no-go.
@@mikew3922 all jokes aside, that would be a big point of consideration for me as well. so, since I’m not married, I would have to let the tiebreaker be which feature would most appeal to young, single women. Seeing the motor from the outside, or watching the convertible go through its acrobatics as it descends. Based on what I know about women, I’m leaning more towards the automatic convertible. Lol.
So, rainwater getting into the engine bay? Is that a real problem? What kind of damage does that do? I can’t believe they didn’t think that part through?
Shouldn’t cause damage but just make it dirty. I appreciate the heads up in the video. Most rear engine cars have water guards, surprise GM didn’t put any. But I’m sure there’s 3rd party making them for the C8.
You can buy a 11LT model for about $20K LESS WITHOUT some of the bells and whistles and have enough money left over for more than 2 years worth of gasoline. Virtually no one would know it is the 1LT as the 3LT look almost identical ! For $20-$25K you can install a supercharger that has s 3 year or 36,000 mile warrantee on the whole sustem and be as fast as most Ferraris or Lambos which cost at least $300,000+ more!
The 2-3LT have safety and conv. features that the 1 LT dont. Thats why I will always get the 3LZ for my Z06 HTC as the blue interior is only optioned for that.

Another nice feature of the auto folding mirrors is that they provide a quick visual confirmation that the car is, in fact, locked.
Picked up ourC8 last night, and learned so much, will go to car tomorrow and watch it again, thank you so much, you have a new subscriber
One point about the silver loop beside the foot brake that opens the frunk. It needs to be pulled twice.

Just started working at a Chevy Dealer, this video is so nice to learn the vehicle!
Glad I could help. I also used to work at a Chevy dealer. Good luck with sales. 😄
@@HotshotTek thank you greatly, any advice is appreciated
Great video. Just bought my C8 and this helps explain a lot about the vehicle I did not know.
Excellent video.
This was helpful, thanks for posting it

What is that interior color?
I m gonna try the paddle shifters to rev.
why do reviewers always think everyone who buys a sports car plays golf?
pathetic....
Nice tip on the manual key - Forgot all about that. I have Front Lift - Never used it or needed it.
I went 1Lt and don't regret it at all....
My area, its highly needed.
@thegooddoctor6719 I've set about 30 points already, it's needed for the area I live in

There’s also a sonar sensor so when the tops off the alarm is active

Check your car. Chevy removed the emergency manual rear key slot starting 2023, I believe.

unless you just never want to take the roof off, it is well worth getting the convertible if you can aford it.
Less stylish in my opinion.
@@angryox3102 I’d definitely agree with that. You sacrifice styling for convenience with the HTC.
Nice do you own this 😮
Only for a week lol

Have you tested the Automatic Emergency Brakes on your 2024?
What would be the purpose of removing the roof yourself, if you have an automatic convertible?
$8,000 difference between a Coupe & a Convertible. Ill take my Top off myself!!

Not of fan of license plate in the front
Its against the law in my state not to have a front plate. I don't have one. The cops seem not to care.
