For 3.5 pound of boost at that drive train loss my gawddddd that’s 800 plus lol with zero tweaks at all imagine fully forged on 30 PSI that’s 36 hp a pound! That’s 1100 whp unreal the ZR1 truly is unbelievable
Wouldn’t even have to change much. Probably just swap the pistons for a dish design to lower the compression and obviously forged and be safe to run 10-15 psi on all other stock components and get 300whp gain.
King rabbit, if upgraded a few parts and having 15psi, its going to make way more than an extra 300hp... 7-8 psi would get you an extra 300...15psi is probably going to make more like 600ish more hp if supporting mods are done right...ecs tt z51 added twin turbos and that car made 624hp just on 6lbs of boost...the support mods and correct sized turbos are everything when adding higher boost...

Black and gold looks insanely incredible. 120 hp gain for 10k or more, not worth the cost per hp. Plus the bottom end is week. The c7 had strong bottom ends to boost anyway you want and drive daily.
You guys NEED to supply USED C8"S in low milage condition with your twin turbo kits installed and sell them as SPECIAL BOOST District cars? Just like MOTION and YENKO did in the late 60's.....only thing is you supply at least 200 HP MORE than they did! Bet you could sell a nice C8 with an LT2 and turbo for $120,000 and beat most everything at the track!

But Id love to see an n/a, tt, or supercharged.. High revving, de-stroked LT1/2/4/5 build, with lightweight forged internals & fancy heads/valvetrain. Something like 5-5.5L, with less low end torque, but linear power up to 7.5-8k+ rpm.. a real exotic feeling screamer. (Similar to what Katech did with their 8500rpm destroked LS7). Its absolutely glorious🙌🇺🇲

Keep that off-road/business use/racecar registration setup handy to avoid all dem fines in the US (ask me how I know). Why in gods name is the Screaming Chicken on a Corvette. While I can appreciate its in the GM family, but that’s as bad as Ford putting the Mustang name/logo on an electric car. It’s sacrilegious!!! Other than that, beautiful car and clean build, waiting for someone to finally unlock the ECU and get a proper tune. This may be a dumb question, but couldn’t you just go full Motec or something similar for engine management/tuning?
Is there a issues with the intakes for the turbo being so low and sucking water in ? Like if you get stuck in the rain or drive through standing water?
The rims are fire!! I personally disagree with the Pontiac Firebird on the hood. Don't get me wrong, it looks nice, but it's a Corvette, not Firebird. Disrespectful but to each it's own. And $29,500 for the turbo kit?? DAMN!! I can see 15, 16 grand, but damn near $30,000 a twin turbo kit! Does that include labor?? But they did a damn good job installing it. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Yeah, the engine might be fine, but without tuning those DCT will eat shit because you are putting an extra 100+ hp through those clutches without telling the TCM to compensate with higher line pressures and shift pressures. Same thing happens with Cicio turbo C8 cars, even with upgraded clutch disks.
so real question. what is the cost versus the upgrade spec as compared to a ZR1? I would never be keen on a teardown versus just buying the factory beast. AND I assume this invalidates all warranty.
We like giving everyone options. Not everyone who has a z06 would want to spend on a new car, nor need MUCH more power. This kit is great to add 100hp, not to break records with. That's much more affordable to do in the stingray, and even ERAY World
z06/zr1/stingray/eray are all the same inner body. Turbo location of the zr1 makes it compact but the location leaves a ton of heat in the engine bay itself.
If you guys are at Carlisle next year would definitely like to setup an install at the show if you will be offering that. That TT setup is nice and by then there should be some more hands on and lessons learned on the setup.
We've covered this on our previous turbo videos.. if your turbos get soaked, you have bigger issues. The OEM ECU is in the same height level As the turbos and inlet. I definitely wouldn't drive in flood, but rain will be ok.

very nice but I'd be worried driving it in the rain. A whille ago bmw for certain models had the issue where at highway speeds and raining, water would get into the engine and hydro lock it. they had the intakes very low in order to capture cooler air.
I didnt think one could tune a C8 Zo6? When were they unlocked? Also, are you running into issues with lack of fueling? I read from some guy who portrays himself as some Chevy Corvette guru and said very recently that C8 Z06 couldnt be tuned, and the ZR1 would run into fuel issues because of the LPFP and something due to the dual DME setup being so much more complex than other platforms. I mean, if the DME is unlocked you can do anything, including installing additional LPFPs, but if the dme is still locked im curious what work arounds you are pursuing to dial it in(Something akin to a JB4 style of tuning?)
How are you knocking other peoples work and using rubber hose with worm clamps on the turbo drains. That’s not very high end or heat protected right behind the down pipes.
No literally what i was thinking, they boasted about there clean wire tuck specialty but can’t make a solution to the ugly worm clamps and black rubber hose.

The first 3-5 psi are the most transformative. Just the slightest bit of positive pressure really helps everything work considerably better.
