Honest to god man, the dedication and improvement over the last 8/9 months for your channel has been amazing, keep it up dude so glad to have someone showing off all the unique cars this country has produced
@@RossReviewsau I appreciate that you actually take the time to answer people too. These were great cars. I used to see them every day on my way in to work. It still baffles me that only the Statesmen got the HID headlights though . Especially in this price bracket. I did hear that GM head office just wouldn't cough up the money to add them to the design locally. I am shocked at the amount of plastic on the interior though. I thought at this level it would be swathed in leather everywhere.
One of my favourite cars I drove at when working at dealerships in Wangara was one of these; it was auto, but boy the cam was hugeeeee. I remember driving the VF GTS when they first came out and wasn't very impressed by those, the cammed up Senny would've smoked it.
Used to wonder what Holden were thinking with those taillights but now see them as meaning the business even though I prefer the looks of the regular ones on the upper corners.
Bro. Wtf. Your review was immaculate. That song in the back was immaculate towards the end. You blew me away. I was blazed also, so it was like extra wow
Magnetic ride control. Basically the struts contain a goop full of metal particles! When a current is passed through it, it hardens instantly, giving a firm ride. If you have a dish of metal filings and drop a magnet into it, the filings clump into a hard mass. MRC is the same principal.
Nice car mate,C'mon who wouldn't love a Senator they're a beast even the most diehard Ford fan would have to agree lol,I'd love one myself, you've done it again Johnny top class review thanks man.
@@AridersLifeYT oh ok sorry I just try to say my opinion correctly but the HSV Senator is somewhat a luxury variant of the hsv lineup but I know Cadillac never made it to Oceania
I have had the pleasure of owning a brand new January 2006 HSV VZ CLUBSPORT that I owned for just under five years. My biggest regret was selling that car in late 2010 knowing what has happened to Holden. I also would Love to own a HSV Senator but one has to stop comparing a 2012 built car to one built today in 2021, because we all know how technology has advanced over that time since 2012. As to keeping the HSV as it came out of the factory is the best especially when it comes to the resale value down the track. That HSV Senator does not need to be any louder as it sounds great as it is with it’s bimodal exhaust. I have had my drivers license just on 50 years now, and I have had car exhaust mods done on some of my cars and have found that at some point you do get sick of it, and it is also can become a cop magnet when a car is louder than what it should be.
Its a limo and meant for quarter mile, it is good mate please find a wm Caprice and do review, my 2008 Caprice was 75grand brand new and I picked mine up for 11, spent another 11 on it and it's the bee's knees. Keep up the good work 👍🇦🇺🍻
I found a WM caprice for $12k in Victoria... It was in excellent condition (except for some interior pieces) and it even had a V8! I don't know why the Caprice and Statesman haven't gone up in value as much as the SS variants.
@@MartinJones123 yeah bro the Americans use them as police pursuit vehicles so they must of been good, I paid eleven and got a six litre,DVD,leather then I had the AFM deleted, cam, brakes and new set of rims and full length exhaust system the thing runs mint and I know when you see an ss you don't think much of it but when ya see a Caprice or a stato you think FK yeah
Hey mate just FYI, I'm not sure about your car but all FG MK2 and the FGX can have the "EDI" off the GT-F restomodded if you tune the car. It's not as nice as the HSV ones but it's something
How does this compare to the Toyota S180/200 Crown as a daily? Similar weight and interior cabin designs but the displacements are different obviously..4.3L vs 6.2L N.As
Put it out of sport mode they hold the gears too long and rev out going nowhere my old e1 used to get 5.5 to 5.6 0-100 They need lowering in the rear too much body roll and wipe out E3 s look nice in black
It’s all dependent on the day really what temperature it is.. road conditions.. around 6 seconds seems to be what it does but if it had LC would easily be mid 5s
Your VY Calais isn't doing anywhere near those times more like low 7 seconds to 100 kmh lol stupid Holden idiots always lying about 0-100 kmh times lol

Yeah I agree bro. Has the cars that I like and presented by a down to earth guy that loves the cars as much as all of us.

@@bradford_shaun_murray What happened there?
@@RossReviewsau Yep!
Man we took all these types of cars for granted back then!
100% they are gems
Cars like these are much better as family cars than those stupid FWD crossovers! There was once a time when manufactures actually built cool cars...
Vx Berlina review would be mint 👌 for the bogan that can only afford a Kmart button up and Lowes slacks 😌👏🏽
the 5.7L LS1 version of course.
Bahahaha. I actually went and had a look at one of those last weekend. Wife not impressed.
I have a VT Executive with 330,000 kms that can be reviewed hahaha

they do need to be awoken eh.. from factory they are kinda restricted... nice cam would really suit this

they have grown on me also eh..
Like any LS, this needs a CAM, exhaust and a Harrop 2650, it’s nice but needs the treatment,
