- This video should've been done and uploaded almost a year ago... I've been dealing with a lot of life issues, overtime at work, and dealing with my mother passing away. Im sorry this video took so long, but it's finally here! I'll have the updated Ness mod and Paula effect mod in the description for download as soon as I can!

Why is Ness’ voice so sick
sick as in "rad" or sick as in "ill"
Rad I love this ness voice
I actually like his Smash 64 voice
He is cool like that.
Not gonna lie, I sorta prefer the original voice, to me, Ness is a bit of oddball when you compare him to other Smash characters, and that’s why I like him so much.

It's incredible what the community can do, it manages to give the essence of each character, although a not so big change would be that Ness's PK Flash was thinner (same hitbox), and that his c+
Color was a little more transparent, other than that, great job buddy 👍
EVERYTHING IS PERFECT his voice is also so nice!!! I never understood why they made Lucas sound reasonably his age, while Ness sounds like a baby

I don't know anything about modding but I think Paula's up smash would be cooler as pk fire Omega (Even the hitbox kinda has that shape lol) and adding a fire effect making it seem like a fire blast!

Ok, for how Ness matured at the end of the game, I would agree with you, and in that context, I actually do think this voice is better, and there’s no denying the VA has talent.

If i can make a suggestion, instead of having two variants of PSi Rockin, what if you made the Side Special a form of Paralysis? It already leaves people stunned temporarily. I dont know anythinf about modding, but switching the sounds and visuals of the attack without changing how it works could make it work really well!!

This is so cool, I’ve always wanted more accurate effects for ness and Lucas!
I do have one concern though- it’s really hard for me to tell Paula’s moves apart- maybe you could add a couple more colors? Maybe light blue or white to keep it soft?
im sorry to hear about your mother, though as mother 3 taught us, i hope you can learn to live with the loss of someone like that while remembering her love. this is the first time ive seen anything with this, but i hope you're doing alright 💚

Not yet, need to make voice clips for Poo. Hopefully theyll make it to where one character can have multiple effects for each alt color

@@BH400q, my original response has somehow been deleted by TH-cam.
It‘s possible to add certain skins over certain alts thus you can have multiple mods on one character but different alts.
For Paula I think the Ness reskin would work better since you could use it in combination with a mod, which turns all of Ness‘ Rockin Areals into PK Fire. And you could simply reskin PK Flash to make it look like another PSI attack.
As for the voice I think Peach‘s voice would work well if you’d pitch it up.
This is such a cool mod! I love the more accurate PSI, as well as Ness's new voice! I definitely think it fits him better than what he already has!

Love the reworks of Ness's attacks, it doesn't change up his playstyle much but is much more accurate to Earthbound.
I always wondered why Lucas's psi effect was changed to pk love but Ness's was not changed to pk rockin.

EPIC! Only critiques: Ness’ rockin shouldn’t have cartoon explosion sfx, & Paula shouldn’t thunder for up-smash. Ness has random a-button moves, so it’s just her prayer power. & her down-b should be pray!
Thanks for the feedback! I chose Thunder for up smash due to the element effects of the move. Can you elaborate on the random A button moves ?
@@BH400q thanks for making this and good point! What I meant by random a-button moves was Ness in official smash has his up smashes grabs etc, and they’re not named after any specific psi/pk moves from earthbound, at least not to my knowledge!
@@captainmario_ It's hard to say, but if I had to guess, I think Ness is using Pk Rockin in his normals like how Lucas uses Pk Love for his normals. Im looking forward to working on my accurate Lucas moveset mod!

This is great, but what about the SMAAAAASH!! sound effect for the bat? If the text effect could show up too and it specifically triggers when hitting the sweetspot at the end or if it's a kill screen that would be even better.

Ngl this is way better than i thought it was, since you're not just adding a skin on a character you are literally making new moves, though id like timestamps for every character

@@BH400q hey this will sound impossible but wouldn't it be cool if you made a stage, now this sounds impossible and it probably is but the kirby stage with the tree, what if It was possible to redesign it and make it the tree enemy that explodes from earthbound?

That mod for Mewtwo is supposed to be Giegue from Mother 1. That soundtrack you hear is the same one played in the Pink Cloud Shrine Sanctuary location. One of my favorites lol

Maybe I'm just so used to hearing Ness' normal voice but I'm not sure the dub was necessary. I really like everything else you did though, it's really cool

Most of these mods are already on the web. The only one that's incomplete is the Pk Rockin and Pk Flash effects. Almost there!

I swear the fans are more faithful to Smash characters than Nintendo is. I'd much prefer to have this in the base game.
Suggestion for Jeff, what if you made his net grab into the shield killer item.
Wont even lie, I wouldn't know how to implement that, lol. Im thinking of making his f-air and b-air use laser beam, instead of a slingshot
ngl the moves should act different (specifically neutral and up specials)
neutral should cause an explosion around the player and the up special should only launch you without the flash projectile itself
This is only a cosmetic mod. Only the visual effects are modified. Changing the moves characteristics completely will make it unusable online.

Paula's current voice is a place holder. Ill update it, and give Poo and Jeff voice clips. The only one who's voicd is complete is Ness

Maybe for Paula try to lower down side special damage maybe at 05.3%?
Also instead of Duster's snake, replace it with some kind PSI grab
All the mods in the video are cosmetic only, and dont change the characteristics of the moves.

1) "Her move set is nothing like Lucas's from Mother 3" Aren't all of his special moves PSI abilities that Paula naturally learns? I have a feeling, though, that wasn't what you actually meant. Lol
2) Why give her PK Beam when she can learn PK Fire in Earthbound?
3) Outside of the PK Rockin clip, that's a pretty nice voice for Ness. I'm still biased towards the one Smash gave, but if for some reason, they had to give him a new voice actor, this could easily take up the mantle
I was referring to Lucas's normals. Paula never learns Pk Love, which is why I made it appear as Pk thunder for her normals instead . Even though that was explained a little bit later on in the second clip, I do see how there can be some confusion made there in the first set of text.
I decided to give her Pk Beam to switch it up and to give Mother 1 some representation since I don't have any Mother 1 mods yet. As far as the Pk Rockin voice line, that was the best one I could find that was dynamic enough to be in Smash.
