- Today we replace the extremely restrictive inlet and somewhat restrictive outlet with some new Non-Restrictive inlets and outlets from VRSF.
This is for the E9X Chassis N55 PWG but also some for newer N55 EWG and also different kinds for n54
Oring That i was missing on the inlet to intake tract www.fcpeuro.co...
Just a little key reminder Ik it’s too late but this would help everyone in the future, take the intercooler off with everything still attached this way you know how to properly install the aftermarket parts it makes life 1000x easier I promise
You to fix that low coolant , that TMPS sensor ,that brake light, R/R that disgusting steering wheel, and your trunk keeps saying it open??
Maintenance before Mods..respect your car man .
nah but fitting mods, running way too much boost, blowing the engine and complaining on youtube about how shit the platform is, is WAY more content.
also, i dont think they supposed to sound like a subaru...
I bought both the inlet and outlet. The inlet was a piece of cake nut on the turbo outlet side it was a pita. Also on the outlet part I noticed the outlet of the turbo itself the transition is bottle necked big time in the turbo so it seemed to be over kill for what it was worth.
Great video, you should put E9X n55 in the title for better reach.
Ur right thanks bud.
Man! You rock!!! Thanks a lot for the great contents!!!
Thanks so much means a lot 🙏
what is the pipe called that connects above the inlet and below the intake
The outlet both of them were swapped
I tried putting the boost pipe, theres NO WAY that goes in there. Ima have to buy a oem one.
If the inlet and outlets are from VRSF they definitely should fit, its not easy to install but they do fit
Can you attach the link to the correct gasket from fcp euro you got for the aftermarket inlet/outlets?

@@DavidBarahonaBMW thanks a lot, but this is a factory gasket, do I need it for the VSRF inlet/outlet?
Appreciate you!
No the outlets and inlets come with there own but this was the missing gasket I needed
@@DavidBarahonaBMWI’ve ordered it already, appreciate you man 🤜🤛
@techmech2030 awesome no problem
What gasket did you use for the outlet connection?
It's all in my description
@@DavidBarahonaBMW I'm talking about the outlet to turbo connection. Not the inlet.
Vrsf comes with a gasket for the outlet
@@DavidBarahonaBMW Ok. That is what I used. Did the oring fit loose for you? It did for me.
@TheMusicMaker311 no it fit perfect what u could do is buy the o-ring kit from oreillys or any autoparts and find one
Luckily i found this vid so i know to do probably much easier not filming while doing it
Damn I spent like 3 days on the outlet then gave up.
Just use a crowbar and use the radiator support be careful though you'll get it
These aren’t needed and don’t give any performance gain. Helpful with the N54, waste of money and time on the N55.
the car is in limp mode so you aren’t getting any power
How you get the turbo inlet in? I cant get it pass the 2nd o ring!
I put a tad of oil on the ring and it slipped in pretty easy. The outlet is the one I had trouble with had to use a crowbar.
Did it click when it went all the way in? Did you have to angle it a certain way or twist it? I have ripped 2 o rings already trying to put it in.
@@desmondhudnall5839 no there's no click you know it goes on when the screw hole aligns with the hole in the block and you can also feel it slip in and bottom out
Ok thanks for the feedback!
No problem 👍
