No. They are purchased separately. The picture you're looking at shows the 3 components of the charge pipe. Top portion - silicone coupler - bottom portion

Hey buddy was it hard to change the boost pipe, bcuz I don’t see a lot of vids on boost pipes just charge pipes. I enjoyed the vid, I have a 435i F32) & I also believe we have the same engine so I had to ask about the boost pipe bcuz it was hard at the top part, sort of a tight squeeze.
I think it's easier than the charger pipe. With the intercooler out you can twist it so that you have access to the clip then use a small screwdriver to release it. The 3 part design of VRSF makes it easy for reassembly.
Installed intercooler yesterday, went into limp mode later that day. I read online to check if the chargepipe and intercooler were connected right. How would I know?
Recently upgraded my charge pipe from plastic to aluminum. Intetcooler AND boost pipes might be the next piece of work. I did have a thin film of oil inside, I bet it's normal operation for 2017 F15 X5 xDrive35i because it has a PCV valve connected to the charge pipe. On your M235i it seems you don't have a PCV valve (that you plugged with a mini hose clamp).
Great video as always Fritz, I looked through comments and didn't see this question so forgive me if it's been asked. I bought a 2016 M235 6 speed manual in Dec. It's not tuned....yet. Is this something you would still recommend doing?
Damn I watched that video before, alright I'll do the upgrade. Was going to do my oil change today but floor jack is too damn tall. Thanks for the quick reply.
I don't see why not since these parts go in front and above where the drive train would be. However, if you find out something different please let me know
Hey Fritz, great vid, I picked up all the VRSF parts for my M235i after watching your video. Need some help though. How the hell did you get the boost pipe out? Everything is so tight down there. Looks like I can get to it from the top. My concern is after I get it off, how can I get the boost pipe back onto the turbo if I can't even reach it? Thanks!
Glad the video helped. I believe I just used a Pic tool wolith a 90 degree bend to lift the lock. Then it slides out. Installation is actually easier because the lock will grab only when it's engaged and you have more leverage
Fritz Ramos thank you for the offer but you so far bro.. wish I can go there. I watched different way how to install the charge pipe but yours is the best video on TH-cam!
Can someone please explain what the vacuum hose on the chargepipe does? Because it goes strait to the air filter intake tube. Does it not make the car loose boost as some of pressure is going strait in to the air filter pipe?
Hey man great video! Any tips on taking the charge pipe out? I’m really struggling. I already have the intercooler out and chargpipe disconnected I just can’t feed it through lol
Fritz Ramos awesome are you experiencing any turbo lag? I’m going for a similar setup but not getting a tune. Just scared of turbo lag/boost leak/ limp mode
Hey Fritz you may not see this before I order but do you recommend buying the o rings and C clamp from VRSF? Looks like you just reused the clamp but I'm thinking the o to gs may be a good idea since I have 50k miles? Thanks for the video, keep going with your great content

Great info, where I live I really can't drive as fast & hard as I like 60% of the time small Island single lanes etc. I'm considering bm3 stage 1 OTC 91 gas. Should I flash my 8 speed auto & do the change in cooling temp option as I live in HI?, Also I have a newer but stock (sigh) charge pipe that was replaced when it was under warranty and it popped about 2 years ago. I plan on changing just the charge pipe soon fyi but miss the pull I'm used to on other turbo cars I've had so buying the bm3 for the extra cooling and slight boost increase is what I'm after. Thanks in advance!
I would have no idea how to do this myself. I assume the dealership will not take your parts and install this for you, correct??? My '17 X5 has 62,000 miles currently and I want to complete this and the Oil Filter Housing Gasket recommended here by several youtubers. Anything else besides these "needed fixes" Thanks. Go Mountaineers!!!
Fritz Ramos great shop in Fremont, CA is Edge Motorworks. Took my car to 3 shops that had “5 star” yelp reviews and like 100+ reviews. They were not very in depth knowledgeable about bmws. Even though they say they’re bmw specialists. Sure they can do a brake job or spark plugs etc, but they didn’t really listen to what I thought about the car issues and gave me cookie cutter responses. Probably just thought I was another one of those “internet pros” that don’t know what I’m talking about.. Edge was upfront, talked me through their thought process, and was very fair in pricing. They also work on bmw race cars and love driving bmws :)
@@theodorestamatis512 Without any other mods there will be no change in power. However, when you add more power it creates more heat, and the intercooler will help prevent heat soaking.
Hey fritz following along and its been a huge pain on my AT Xdrive car. I am at the point of having the intercooler in and hooking the pipes back up I also did the MST turbo inlet pipe. should the Henn fittings on these aftermarket pipes that dont have the slot be able to spin/or be "loose" in a sense but not come off?
Can you tell me the orientation of the oring that comes to the chargepipe to the intercooler i dont khow which side comes in to the intercooler because is different in each side
apparently the diverter valve that mounts to the turbo failed at 25K miles. In order to change it out, the intercooler and charge pipe must be removed in order to access the 3 waterpump bolts. The pump apparently must be loosened to move into space previously occupied by charge pipe. All of this to access the 3 bolts holding the diverter valve in place. Go Fast makes a much improved diverter valve that is a solution. The dreaded code for diverter valve is 120308, car goes into limp when you gas it...
Any idea what the hose clamps are called for the TIC boost pipe, what size and where to buy them? I bought a used VRSF TIC pipe and VRSF won't sell me the clamps or tell me anything about them because "I'm not the original owner".
@@FritzRamos yes! Any idea about the size or possibly a part #? And how difficult was it to install the boost pipe? It looks like getting access to the turbo side of the pipe is very difficult!

I've done it many times and the workers don't seem to mind. In terms of access. It looks worse than it actually is. I found it easier and less time consuming than the charge pipe portion. Just make sure you have a pick tool to help you.
Hey buddy. My charge pipe didn’t come with those screws. It would help me a lot if you told me what part number they are. Vrsf doesn’t awnser my emails :(
hey fritz! I bought the VSRF intercooler and charge pipe, was there any problems months after installation? has it been consisently reliable and efficent? I really need to know planning on buying it today!

Thanks man, but he does good videos too and by watching multiple people doing the install you get different camera angles to give you a better perspective. All the parts came separately from VRSF. I have links to each in the description.
The differences might only be in the silicone coupler. I know VRSF has a lifetime warranty. I don't know about the warranties of the other companies. Funny thing is that when I bought my charge pipe it was cheaper than both of those brands, so I wouldn't necessarily say BMS and CTS are budget brands, they have good reviews from what I've seen. Hope that helps

Does the boost pipe come with the charge pipe when you purchase it? In the picture on there website it only shows the 2 piece charge pipe that goes from the throttle body to intercooler -Thanks for the Video
No. They are purchased separately. The picture you're looking at shows the 3 components of the charge pipe. Top portion - silicone coupler - bottom portion
I have a f30 335 with the N55 I believe it’s the same motor as the m235i
It should be the same
Very informative video, is there a way to find someone local who can help do it on my car?
Where are you from?

@@FritzRamos any update? Still waiting 🙃
Hi Fritz, nice video! Do you recall the size of the hex key for installing the screw of the TMAP sensor? I want to take off the TMAP to clean but can not find the right size to unscew it.
Thx for the amazing video!
Would I need to purchase the inter cooler at the same time as the charge pipe or is the stock intercooler good enough with charge pipe ??
You can get them separately. You just save some time by doing them together
Gotchu thanks for the reply
What size intercool did you use here
Any boost leaks running the vrsf setup? from the fmic or CP?
Thanks
You just have to make sure the silicone adapter on the charge pipe is securely on. Once it is you should have no boost leaks.
Fritz Ramos Thanks, will the 6.5" stepped Fmic fit in my N20 F chassis?
@@Ethnmoreno This one is for your car. You can select the 5 or 6.5 as well.

In terms of before the tune? This is what I would recommend first th-cam.com/video/OPY0-u0lBm4/w-d-xo.html
Damn I watched that video before, alright I'll do the upgrade. Was going to do my oil change today but floor jack is too damn tall. Thanks for the quick reply.
All parts fit 2016 M235i Xdrive?
Great vid :)
I don't see why not since these parts go in front and above where the drive train would be. However, if you find out something different please let me know
is there any real reason to change the boost pipe since theyre not known to fail even under tons of boost?
Honesty, its just peace of mind and ease of install while the intercooler is out
@@FritzRamos i didnt realize the intercooler came with it so I guess im doing it as well haha. very good detailed guide
Hello, The link to the intercooler doesn't lead to anything anymore. Did you installthe 5" opr 6.5" comp intercooler? Thank you! love the vids :)
Sorry about thea. I installed the 6.5in tinyurl.com/n55VRInt
how long did this take you ?
Including filming I think about 3 hours.
I have 2018 M2, can you do it mine for me please?? I already did the intercooler but the charge pipe n boost not done yet. Subscribed!!!
Are you in the bay area?
Fritz Ramos I live in Chicago, Illinois. I’m Asian Filipino. I’m not confident to do it..
@@kinggrimlock35 If you were here I would do the install for you
Fritz Ramos thank you for the offer but you so far bro.. wish I can go there. I watched different way how to install the charge pipe but yours is the best video on TH-cam!
Were you able to get the parts in?
Can someone please explain what the vacuum hose on the chargepipe does? Because it goes strait to the air filter intake tube. Does it not make the car loose boost as some of pressure is going strait in to the air filter pipe?
Would it be a good idea to run a tune after doing this install? Or it’s good with stock tune?
I ran on the stock tune for almost 2 years after this with no issues
Hey man great video! Any tips on taking the charge pipe out? I’m really struggling. I already have the intercooler out and chargpipe disconnected I just can’t feed it through lol
Just be patient, and turn it as you pull through the bottom.
This ist like stage 1 ? +software ?
Will these cause a check engine light or any error codes??
No. If you get a check engine light then you most likely have a boost leak
Fritz Ramos awesome are you experiencing any turbo lag? I’m going for a similar setup but not getting a tune. Just scared of turbo lag/boost leak/ limp mode
@@GrimJaw No turbo lag for me. I have noticed a very slight increase in mpg though
Hi Fritz. Where did you get the cap to block off the vacuum port of the CP for the manual car?
@@elimareyev4978 VRSF included it with the kit.
No need to remove the bumper?
Nope
Hey Fritz you may not see this before I order but do you recommend buying the o rings and C clamp from VRSF? Looks like you just reused the clamp but I'm thinking the o to gs may be a good idea since I have 50k miles? Thanks for the video, keep going with your great content
Hi, honestly I would reuse the C calmp and get new o rings from the dealership
@@FritzRamos I ordered the $4.99 o-ring from ECS. Everything will be delivered on Sat. At least I don't have to pay $6 a gallon to go to the dealership. Thanks for the quick response. I always try to promote your videos on r/BMW.
O-rings (plural), I may need to go to the dealer anyways. Only got the Charge pipe to throttle body O Ring.
The charge pipes and boost pipes link doesn’t work sir. Could you provide you new links? I have the Huge VRSF intercoole
Fantastic video, just how in the world did you fit it so nicely with the bumper liner? I accidentally broke it while trying to move it out of the way and now it’s pretty much wedged.
I installed my intercooler today. I followed your recommendations for the screw and the black rubber washer they give you. It doesnt feel like the screw is really getting screwed in that far. Its like the washer is taking up a lot of space. Did you ever have any issues with yours?
Hey fritz is it worth the extra money for the 6.5 inch over the 5 inch intercooler?
I think so. You're already there and it future proofs the car from your down the road mods.
Fritz Ramos alright just got the intercooler, chargepipe, and boostpipe.. any other plastic piping that should be replaced or I’m good?
Hey brother! What's the sizing of the intercooler and exactly what did it come with? Buying a used one for the M2 and wanted to know if it'll fit my car
The one in the description is the exact one I got. If everything is same on the m2 it should fit no problem, no need to cut or reposition anything.
@@FritzRamos thanks man. I already got my intercooler and it’s fire! Awesome review and install
Is this the 5" or 6.5" FMIC?
6.5 It fit without any cutting but it was a tight fit
Fritz Ramos Nice! Just ordered one for my 228i
Nice! Let me know if you need anything 👍
VRSF doesn't list the boost pipe for an F22 on their site. How did you get that?
Maybe they're out of stock. Did you email them?
@@FritzRamos Yes, waiting for a second response. If you have the boost, hot side tube part number that would be appreciated.
I would have no idea how to do this myself. I assume the dealership will not take your parts and install this for you, correct??? So, who do you get, and not some mechanic/extortionist who "see's you coming"! Any suggestions! My '17 X5 has 62,000 miles currently and I want to complete this and the Oil Filter Housing Gasket recommended here by several youtubers. Anything else besides these "needed fixes" Thanks. Nice job. My shop wants hundreds of dollars to do this.
Sounds about right lol. Were you able to get it done yourself?
@@FritzRamos I haven't moved forward. My shop is very good. They build race cars and have yet to let me down - just expensive.
@@paulff3 I see. Well finding a good shop is hard to find. Would you like to share the name of your shop so people in the area can find them?
Thanks for sharing this. Good shops are hard to find and the mechanics should know that people are more informed now.
So I got oil in my charge pipe. Not comfortable walnut blasting my self. How much would that cost
Great video man :)
Glad you enjoyed it. Let me know how your install goes
Kinda nervous to do this my self
You can do it!
Is the vrsf intercooler better than the factory one?
Yes you get much more air flow to help keep engine temps down which will allow you to increase power and boost
@@colind1062 Thanx!!So if you just change the factory one with the vrsf intercooler without any mods will there be any difference?
@@theodorestamatis512 Without any other mods there will be no change in power. However, when you add more power it creates more heat, and the intercooler will help prevent heat soaking.
@@colind1062 thank you bud!
on the charge pipe for the N55 is the throttle body o ring the same as the o ring on the intercooler (charge pipe side)
I don’t think your going to reply to me but do you think the 335 n54 would be the same?
Can you tell me the orientation of the oring that comes to the chargepipe to the intercooler i dont khow which side comes in to the intercooler because is different in each side
The wider side should go along the walls of the charge pipe with that slightly pointy side pointed inward.
Is there a way can I send you a picture of the oring and you tell me i am from Puerto Rico my English is terrible
@@GIXXER404 Your English is good, don't be too hard on yourself. You can message me on IG @vroomtuber
I added a charge pipe on to my f10 535i and my engine over heats do you think it is because my intercooler ?
Having the same issue with the same vehicle. Did you get an answer? I am contemplating going back to OEM.
apparently the diverter valve that mounts to the turbo failed at 25K miles.
The boost pipe isn’t on the website anymore where can I find one
Any idea what the hose clamps are called for the TIC boost pipe, what size and where to buy them? I bought a used VRSF TIC pipe and VRSF won't sell me the clamps or tell me anything about them because "I'm not the original owner".
Are you referring to the camps that go on the silicone coupler?
@@FritzRamos yes! Any idea about the size or possibly a part #?
And how difficult was it to install the boost pipe? It looks like getting access to the turbo side of the pipe is very difficult!
@@FritzRamos any ideas?
@@grocerylist They're hose clamps. I'm not sure about size, but you could bring the boost pipe with you to the auto parts store and try fitting on the hose clams in the store. I've done it many times and the workers don't seem to mind.
In terms of access. It looks worse than it actually is. I found it easier and less time consuming than the charge pipe portion. Just make sure you have a pick tool to help you.
how long did install take?
If you don't film it. Should be 2-3 hours

Hey man Im to your channel. This is definitely clearer than kies. Does the boostpipe come with the VRSF chargepipe or did you have to buy it separately?
Thanks man, but he does good videos too and by watching multiple people doing the install you get different camera angles to give you a better perspective. All the parts came separately from VRSF. I have links to each in the description.
Which way do the oring gos in the Bottom i replaced my charge pipe but I see is leaking oil threw there
What the differences between more budget charge pipe and VRSF pipes? For example CTS or BMS ? Thanks btw 👍🏼
