He has created hands down the absolute perfect M2 example I've ever seen. That stance and fitment is mega. I mean obviously IMO that is. But I'm sure most could agree that's a beautiful example of an M car

I’m driving a 1M at the moment.
A good friend of mine has an F87 we often swap cars
When we go for a cruise.
I like the staggered set up on G87 and wider stance.
Don’t care 2 much about how it looks.

The fact that the G87 shares a lot with the G8X M3/M4, I like a lot. Same as you, I am not sold on the looks yet. It's a retro modern look they are going for. Feels like it needs a CS or CSL treatment.

I’d stick with the F87 hands down. The current gen BMWs are tasteless in their designs. If you make the argument that the looks don’t matter, then just get 240i and mod the hell out of it. Cars are a form of jewelry to men. To say that design doesn’t matter is like saying that all you care is the size of the diamonds and who cares about the design. G82 vs. GT3/GTS allocation? The answer is absolutely obvious.

I drove behind an OG M2 a few days ago, and I was drawn to that sexy booty; along with the burble sound. Such an amazing car. The new M2 is an abomination in terms of design IMO. The only car left from BMW that hasn’t been butchered is the M5.
I just hope the new M2 starts to grow on us once we get to see it in person and with some light mods 🙌😃
@@thedevthing - It just feels like BMW is trying too hard to keep up with trends: sharp lines with agressive styling that's never really been in BMW's profile. I know it's all subjective and I'm probably just getting old and grumpy :)

It seems there is no sound on some devices. If you switch to TH-cam app on phone or tv, there is sound.

F87 is the last true M car. As soon as they went auto only in the G87, that's not a M car anymore. Not to mention the vomit inducing styling of the G80 M3, G82 M4, and G87 M2. The entire G series lineup of current BMW's look bad. Case in point look at the 2020 X3M and compare it to the 2023 model. In just 3 years they messed up the styling so bad. The E and F series are the last good looking BMW's. I'd much rather take a Bangle era designed car over the garbage looking cars they have available today honestly.
I am gonna hold on to my 2019 M2 Competition 6MT for as long as I can after seeing their current lineup. Oh and RIP physical AC controls on BMW's.
Styling is something to get used to. Many may not get used to it at all.
The G87 does come in a manual. They have not given up on that. In Germany you have to pay extra for the manual. In my books that’s ok. I would pay extra to get a manual G87 🙌😃🙏

I'm sick to my stomach because of how BMW has ruined the M2. The F87 was a beautiful master piece. The g87 is a downgrade visually😢

Car might be ugly.. but it definetly will run circles around you. S58 is no joke. If the car performs well and feels good to drive, why does it matter how bad it looks.. I honestly don’t think it looks so bad.. I really think the powder blue they used was the wrong color to debut it in..

The new m2 looks like if a 2012 Scion tC was released in 22/23…🤮 the f87 is the best looking an m2 will ever be. Imho ( maybe a miracle will happen and aftermarket world will fix it but gosh that’s a stretch )

You’re in the extremely small minority that thinks the G87 is better than the beauty that is the F87
I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. This could be all part of the modernization and differentiation of the various models. In the past there were criticism that models all looked the same. Audi got similar criticism 🙌😃
