I changed my whole diet, I basically just ate stir fry’s with very little things added other than seasoning. I use beef, chicken, fish, and every morning, bacon and eggs, 3 eggs over easy and 4-5 strips bacon, with some kind of fruit or vegetable on the side, no bread, black coffee.(that took a while to get used to.) I ate when I was hungry, and paid attention to whether I was full. Had small lunch usually, again paying close attention as to whether I was actually hungry, and or full. At supper time, 1 plate, rather than my two over loaded plates, I used a smaller dinner plate so that it looked full, (physical) and made sure I waited to see if I was actually full before getting any more. I’d only eat 1 after I got used to it. I wasn’t hungry...Oh, and as well as getting rid of sugar, I go rid of anything that broke down into sugar like pasta..
Once I figured out my full point, (full doesn’t mean stuffed) then I kept that measure. Even with the bacon and eggs, I lost 55 lbs in 3 months, my cholesterol went to normal, and my dye test 6 months later showed far better circulation with no concerning areas.
Oh, and I got a dog and walked him everyday… you don’t need a dog to walk though.
My doctor had given me prescriptions to lower cholesterol etc. Didn’t suggest anything at all really, no mention of diet or any kind of diet plan, but did say that I should exercise.
When I went back for my appointment, and the dye test, he was shocked. He said, I guess those pills worked for you. I told him that I never filled the prescription and filled him in on the above. He didn’t believe that I was eating that much bacon, but I was.
Anyway, that was in 2014, I never regained the weight, I still eat bacon, I switch it up with sausage sometimes, and the rest is about the same. It worked for me.

i had a bypass recently just 3 months back, had blocked arteries
100 % blockage in 2 arteries, and 95% in left artery, had lot of collateral arteries opened up but they were getting blocked too, my condition was called diffused coronary heart disease, and my LAD was not grafted due to sluggish flow and the LAD artery itself was covered with heart muscle. Anyways i am saved and alive thanks to GOD and to the doctors.

I had 3 stents placed in my coronary arteries. I had high cholesterol(inherited) on was on statins for over 25 years and have run 4 times a week for over 35 years.
Still I got blocked arteries. Luckily the exercise created collateral arteries and the statins turned the soft plaque into calcified plaque which is a
good thing. I had zero symptoms but got a calcium CT scan score and it showed the issue. Now after quick recovery I am still on the statins,
Clopidogrel(plavix) and an aspirin. I have improved my diet removing ALL junk food and lost even more weight. My BP was always normal.
Diet will help but if you had hereditary factors that typical means that your liver is making most 80% of the cholesterol so hence need for
statin and reducing simple sugars reduces inflammation which is now seen as just as important or even more important than just the cholesterol number.
    Hope this helps.

Hi Dr. Thank You for this video. I’ve subscribed. Just been through a heart cath, CAD in 5 arteries, mild to moderate in 4 & moderate diffuse in the LAD, but “non flow limiting” so no procedure and no symptoms. Also have a CAC of 900. Gone plant based. Losing weight fast. Agorvastatin 60/d. My fiancé wants a baby but I’m not sure it’s fair on her or the baby, I mean with this level of disease, could I realistically still be here in 10 years ? I’m 56 ….

What about cardiac MRI? I don't want the radiadtion from CT. Also, angiography could be dangerous for me because this is most likely SCAD and/or vasospasm.

I had an artery stretch out and close. Had a stent. Said it was caused by stress. Has anyone ever heard or had that happen?

Um, I had an artery in my heart that was 90% blocked, and I don't eat any meat at all and really nothing else with much cholesterol in it, and I had good cholesterol levels before anxiety and depression hit, so I'm surprised i had that. I have a stent too. And meds.
