I hope you are doing better. I have the same thing. But Dr isn't doing anything. I am short of breath, pain in chest and sometimes pain in the middle of my torso. Are you on any medicine or have had surgeries?

As of today, what recommendations can you make to diagnose early (inflammation and atherosclerosis), and prevent atherosclerosis? I guess that not being overweight and exercising is positive, but is there anything else?

I’ve been doing a lot of research but feel there is not a lot of solid info... few certainties... however, a low fat diet has been shown to make a difference... but, also just eating a lot of whole, non processed, minimally processed foods makes a huge difference ... lots of fresh fruit and veg ... minimize meat to s couple times a week ... no processed sugar, crappy breads etc... but, really the big thing is to consume a lot of vitamin c... if you can get more than 1000mg per day from food, great... but, I would supplement with it... it will prevent atherosclerosis ... best to supplement with 3000mg per day (ascorbic acid form) or more, if you know you have it... probably take 1000mg per day if starting young and probably have little to no atherosclerosis... there is a test called CIMT that is one of the better ones to get a good measure of atherosclerosis. I want to get one this year while I’m doing eating and exercise focus and doing high dose vitamin c. I’d like to see if my approach is working. Look into work of Linus Pauling for vitamin c findings.

@@OfftoShambala its just so confusing when there are people recommending high fat/keto/carnivore diets full of animal meat and dairy as they believe they contain all the proteins and nutrients we need and they feel so much better on that diet. They also say grains/seeds/vegetables are toxic and contains hardly any nutrients. I just dont know who to believe but I'm concerned as I have high cholesterol in my family and heart attacks.

Avoid sugar, refined flour, and seed oils. Eat plenty of vegetables -- especially leafy greens and other high-nitrate foods like beets. Fasting is very beneficial. You want to get rid of insulin resistance and keep your insulin levels low. Get plenty of vitamin C from whole foods rather than supplements. You want to restore the proper function of the endothelium. Look into a nutritarian diet. As far as exercise, interval training seems to have research showing it gives the best results with the lowest time investment. A tablespoon of balsamic vinegar with every meal can help too. It helps you increase AMPK which helps you burn more fat, plus you get the health benefits of the grapes it is made from which improves endothelial function.

Mainly diet and lifestyle changes are our best bet. Avoiding highly processed foods, large amounts of sodium, sugars, carb overconsumption, saturated fats, having decent hydration, moderate/consistent exercise and keeping away from recreational drugs and alcohol

Have you tried natural olive oil and lemon juice mixture (1tbsp of oil and some lemon juice) on an empty stomach 30 minutes prior to your breakfast. Dr Mandela recommends it for atherosclerosis cure.

You will not develop atherosclerosis if you stop eating animal products which contain cholesterol. Also, avoiding saturated fat is a benefit. Eat only whole plant foods, such as whole grains, legumes, vegetables and fruits. Add moderate exercise, such as a daily 30 minute walk. This can also reverse existing heart disease and type II diabetes.
