If im not mistaken the japanese dreamcast and ps2 version had online cross play back when it came out, why they released it on ps3 with no online play still baffles me to this day.
Capcom Vs SNK 2 has to be one of the best fighters out there ever created. It just got recently supported on Fightcade 2 so now people are able to play it online!

The biggest reason why there has never been a CvS3: Both Capcom and SNK missed that opportunity in the mid-2000s and instead wasted their time, ideas, and budgets on MUGEN-like crossover such as Capcom Fighting Jam, KOF: Neowave, NEO·GEO Battle Coliseum, and SVC Chaos. We didn't need those rehashes, we needed more Capcom vs. SNK sequels.
Itsuno has so many ideas floating around it's crazy. I still think we are far more likely for DMC 6 to come out after Dragons Dogma 2 than CVS2 but at least there is hope.
it's sad, but i far preferred SNK's pixel art of SVC Chaos to capcom's efforts. Capcom and SNK made excellent fighters both, in their crossovers more so; but that old KoF pixel art was just masterpiece stuff.
I agree. SVC Chaos is actually my favorite out of the Capcom VS SNK crossovers. So i do also prefer the KOF sprite style for the crossovers. But Capcom's take on the SNK characters still look amazing to this day!
Too bad the game was terrible thanks to using dated hardware (By that time). The graphics had aged pretty badly (the backgrounds were sparse), the music was forgettable and the gameplay was nowhere as good as CVS 2. They should have released it on the Atomiswave hardware seeing how SNK was shifting their games towards that.
I prefer cvs2 for gameplay and mechanics, but svc Chaos had a more unique roster. Zero from megaman zero series, Demitri INSTEAD of morrigan, violent Ken, Mars people?... 👌

seeing goku in snk's style makes me want shonen jump vs. capcom!!! :3 with kof 15 helping revive snk,their games now on switch(especially having match of the millenium meaning they had some talk with capcom.) and 5 coming to an end capcom & snk should think of doing capcom vs. snk 3.(especially if it had the line up of characters in the card fighters games.:3)
Capcom vs Snk 2 was my favorite. remember that I use to hook it up to big screen Tv in living room and stay up all night on Fridays and Saturdays playing it. I own both Dreamcast and Playstation 2 versions, definitely a dream come true. Also another one of my favorites was SNK vs Capcom chaos and understood that this one was made around the same time as King of fighters 2003 and has similar fighting style and gameplay mechanics to KOF 2003. However, can't remember the source, I do remember that reading in a magazine... was that Capcom rushed SNK on the release of SNK vs Capcom chaos and then after that SNK promised never to work with Capcom again and due to this reason was why we didn't have "Capcom vs snk 3" because Capcom pissed SNK off!
i really hope they do CVS 3 i think it would be the most successful one yet with online gaming & tournaments plus theyre both 3d now they can easily collab out of every fighting game this one would be the one i would be the most interasted to play for sure
I wanna see it, in 2.5D like Street Fighter IV. Throw in Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Monster hunter, Mega Man, World Heroes, Shock Troopers, Ninja Masters and Metal Slug. Maybe a rival system: Vergil's rival: Moriya Minakata Jill Valentine's rival: Marco Rossi Maybe an adventure mode sort of like Final Fight.

CvS3 would be legendary. For mechanics, bring back the grooves with some extra mechanics from newer games. Capcom gets mostly street fighter characters with some other classics like Darkstalkers and even new stuff like DMC. Practically everything SNK has been absorbed by the Kof black hole. Though there are some niche picks. I especially would want to see the SVC chaos trash talking pre-battle quotes. Unfortunately, a big character roster is impossible with how inefficient production is for the two companies, with the demands they have to reach. Definitely leagues more possible than Marvel vs Capcom 4
I love SNK so much. My consolized MVS and NEOSD are some of the best video game investments I've ever made, despite the high prices. SNK did not rip off games of other genres, they perfected them. Sengoku, Samurai Showdown, King of Fighters, Metal Slug, and Neo Drift were amazing games. Not to mention, the Neo Geo CD controller is one of the best controllers I have ever used. I would love to see a new Campcom VS SNK game.

I'd love to see a CvS 3 - or honestly... some kind of official "everybody vs. everybody" ...but how to manage a CAST for that is NUTS!! Even at best - I could see four quadrants of SF/Capcom, KoF/SNK, Tekken/Namco, and GG/ArcSys each made up of 25 characters for that 100 core characters, but even whittling THAT down is nuts - and this is saying nothing of KI, MK, DoA, or say, even Melty Blood.
Now: Terry and Mai are in season 2 of Street Fighter 6. SVC Chaos remastered just released! Capcom and SNK essentially have a fantastic and warm working relationship again and basically Capcom vs SNK 3 is possible.

So unless the both of them work in same building, and the people who made that disastrous SvC Chaos deal are both gone from their companies, this dream will remain a dream. And don't even tell me they'll agree because they know it'll nmake money. Pride is more important to people than that. Especially in Japan, where face is important.

CvS2 is not a game I could play well, but I loved it all the same. And I hope to see CvS3. And a Modern Release CvS2. Rollback Netcode is in Fightcase . So good for those developers.
A cvs3 is LONG OVERDUE… however I do have my small concerns with it though. But the snk characters that do need to be playable is the ikari team, Andy, Wolfgang Krauser, and maybe a few characters from the last blade and samsho. Capcom and SNK higher ups, plz give itsuno a chance!!

That has been actually an outstanding rumor that Dante was considered for Capcom vs SNK 2 / Snkvs Capcom : Chaos but due to time restraints he couldn’t be added until card fighter DS
SVC chaos didn't come out for PS2 in the United States instead it came out exclusively on the original Xbox. Which upset me at the time because I couldn't play it on my PS2 and my mom wasn't going to buy other console. The only way I could play it was at my local arcade.
I would like to see an all-out no-holds-barred, full-fledged roster of Capcom taking on the likes of the ENTIRE Neo-Geo universe, rather than just the core SNK titles of KOF, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, and Last Blade. I think we should add the likes of Galaxy Fight, Waku Waku 7, Rage Of The Dragons, Breakers, Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer, Fighters History Dynamite (Fuck the Karnov's Revenge name! I shall not and will not acknowledge that title, thank you very much!), World Heroes Perfect, Aggressors Of Dark Kombat, Ragnagard, Kabuki Klash, Savage Reign, Ninja Masters, Fight Fever (yeah, I said it!), Real Bout Fatal Fury (having Alfred Airhawk in the roster is a must!), Kizuna Encounter Super Tag Battle, and Path of the Warrior: Art Of Fighting 3 (with Sinclair and Wyler added as well). There y'all have it. My ideal roster for the Neo-Geo side for this ideal game of mine. As for Capcom, it should not be limited to just Street Fighter, you know. Why not add the RIval Schools, Power Stone, Star Gladiator/Plasma Sword, Darkstalkers, Project Justice, and yes- Cyberbots characters for the roster? But all in all, it all must be balanced in the most proper manner to make this game work-not just for the creators, but also for the fans as well. Loved having 6-button SNK characters 👍. 6-button Geese & Rock ftw. It made their counter moves easier to pull-off, for me vs SNK 4-button. I hate simplified button layouts, as is the case with every Marvel vs Capcom sequel.
SNK and Capcom have decided to let Namco develop the next Capcom Vs SNK because they were satisfied with Geese VS Akuma in Tekken 7 and Harada will be used an upgraded Tekken 7 fighting system.
I did not like this cross-over series at all. I thought the gameplay and character selection was rather bland and boring. Should've just called it Street Fighter vs King Of Fighters instead because majority of the roster was street fighter and king of fighter characters. If there was ever going to be a Capcom vs SNK 3, I'd like to see more interesting characters, hi-res detail character design like the guilty gear series, and better air combos and air juggles.
Hideki Suno try doing a go fund me strategy to see if there is decent amount in rebooting the franchise. Tell the people the an estimated budget he would need.
Sadly, Capcom's probably being super shitty about this. They've basically burned any good will they had with shitty business moves like basically destroying their IP and the whole on disc DLC thing. It's great to hear that the two companies got along so well, but it's unlikely that such things will happen again at the moment.

1. Street fighter Alpha 4 (2D)
2. A new Rival School.
3. Powerstone 3
4. Capcom vs Snk 3
5. Capcom Fighting Jam (A good version though, with lots of characters redrawn, with lot of supers. A guy can dream 😅)
Micro-Transaction's would ruin CvS 3. Capcom has proven this. They'd charge for alt costumes, fighting maps, player upgrades, Etc.
Please do more videos on mortal kombat & tekken. As well as videos on soul calibur 2,dead or alive,blazblue,bloody roar,snk's world heroes,street fighter 1,primal rage,sonic the fighters,pokken tournament,& the fighting/beat em up hybrid pit fighter

CvS2 is not a game I could play well, but I loved it all the same.
And I hope to see CvS3. And a Modern Release CvS2. Rollback Netcode is in Fightcase . So good for those developers.

A cvs3 is LONG OVERDUE… however I do have my small concerns with it though. But the snk characters that do need to be playable is the ikari team, Andy, Wolfgang Krauser, and maybe a few characters from the last blade and samsho.
Capcom and SNK higher ups, plz give itsuno a chance!!

They better add *Dante* from "Devil May Cry" in the Roster, also along with my Boi *K' (Dash)* in it too.
Should have Strider to deal with cheap Haohmaru. Needs Genjuro from SvC, too.

That has been actually an outstanding rumor that Dante was considered for Capcom vs SNK 2 / Snkvs Capcom : Chaos but due to time restraints he couldn’t be added until card fighter DS

SVC chaos didn't come out for PS2 in the United States instead it came out exclusively on the original Xbox. Which upset me at the time because I couldn't play it on my PS2 and my mom wasn't going to buy other console. The only way I could play it was at my local arcade.

I would like to see an all-out no-holds-barred, full-fledged roster of Capcom taking on the likes of the ENTIRE Neo-Geo universe, rather than just the core SNK titles of KOF, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, and Last Blade. I think we should add the likes of Galaxy Fight, Waku Waku 7, Rage Of The Dragons, Breakers, Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer, Fighters History Dynamite (Fuck the Karnov's Revenge name! I shall not and will not acknowledge that title, thank you very much!), World Heroes Perfect, Aggressors Of Dark Kombat, Ragnagard, Kabuki Klash, Savage Reign, Ninja Masters, Fight Fever (yeah, I said it!), Real Bout Fatal Fury (having Alfred Airhawk in the roster is a must!), Kizuna Encounter Super Tag Battle, and Path of the Warrior: Art Of Fighting 3 (with Sinclair and Wyler added as well). There y'all have it. My ideal roster for the Neo-Geo side for this ideal game of mine. As for Capcom, it should not be limited to just Street Fighter, you know. Why not add the RIval Schools, Power Stone, Star Gladiator/Plasma Sword, Darkstalkers, Project Justice, and yes- Cyberbots characters for the roster? But all in all, it all must be balanced in the most proper manner to make this game work-not just for the creators, but also for the fans as well. And oh, yeah, let's not forget about the main protagonists of Neo-Geo Battle Coliseum, too!🙂

Those from Robo Army, Sengoku, Legend Of Success Joe, Burning Fight, Street Slam, Baseball Stars, Beast Busters, Aero Fighters, Magical Lord, and Twinkle Star Sprites as well as Resident Evil, Ace Attorney, Monster Hunter and others from Capcom that I should mention-but some believe that they all don't fit in this masterpiece that I thought of, but y'all know what the old saying goes: "A man can dream, can he?" Just to let you all know, although I may not have played all the SNK or Neo-Geo titles, I admit , I played almost every Neo-Geo MVS fighter there is, but I also know them all by name, and done lots of research on all of these games with all of its characters.😁

CAP vs SNK 2 is the greatest fighter of all time. I would love another but would have to be made by CAPCOM.
Loved having 6-button SNK characters 👍. 6-button Geese & Rock ftw. It made their counter moves easier to pull-off, for me vs SNK 4-button. I hate simplified button layouts, as is the case with every Marvel vs Capcom sequel.
Hopefully it'll be a 3v3 like marvel vs capcom 2. I just got into it and been practicing for the past week. About to hit multiplayer later on

SNK and Capcom have decided to let Namco develop the next Capcom Vs SNK because they were satisfied with Geese VS Akuma in Tekken 7 and Harada will be used an upgraded Tekken 7 fighting system.

I did not like this cross-over series at all. I thought the gameplay and character selection was rather bland and boring. Should've just called it Street Fighter vs King Of Fighters instead because majority of the roster was street fighter and king of fighter characters. If there was ever going to be a Capcom vs SNK 3, I'd like to see more interesting characters, hi-res detail character design like the guilty gear series, and better air combos and air juggles.

Hideki Suno try doing a go fund me strategy to see if there is decent amount in rebooting the franchise. Tell the people the an estimated budget he would need.
Sadly, Capcom's probably being super shitty about this. They've basically burned any good will they had with shitty business moves like basically destroying their IP and the whole on disc DLC thing. It's great to hear that the two companies got along so well, but it's unlikely that such things will happen again at the moment.
