Everyone is missing the hard truth that the ABs gameplay has changed dramatically since the South African exit of Super Rugby. The truth is while South Africa have played in European tournaments, NZ was now left with smaller island nations to strengthen their game. ABs were at their best when they were playing South African teams in Super Rugby.
Except NZ won every super title bar 3.

The boks are a better side than they were 4 years ago, people fail to comprehend that, they have evolved, they are not the same side play wise, developed more depth and this is the one they plan to win anyway, they have more game breakers than they had previously, better balanced, should they beat everybody else in group play,they will even be more harder to stop, They are built for world cups as Wilson rightfully conceded, France, Ireland are good sides but the Springboks will lift on perfomance once they get into the play offs, one senses that they could atleast lift 3 notches up physically if needs be..The All blacks are just not the All blacks of old under Foster, there's no aura whatsoever, not to say they can't win the world cup but it will take some doing though.

Ireland beat us by scoring a try because the flanker entered the ruck from offside position , quick turnover and then they scored out wide.
We beat both teams but the score didn’t reflect that.
We didn’t even have a proper kicker.
In the end the World Cup is all that matters and we are in a very strong position.

What we've realised about the NZ pundits, they seem to be the elites in NZ. They put on a good front re their bias and apparently deep seated dislike of certain rugby nations. Last week we saw the mask slip and they showed who they really are. Unable to give credit where it's due not able to appreciate a team on the rise, not able to admit their team's shortcomings at that game. It was apparent when the masks slipped, how they looked down on other rugby nations, especially SA. Not one contradicted the other last week . This week, the masks were firmly back on. To be honest, the AB's are a dark horse rather than a favorite. France, Ireland and SA looking much better right now. The pundits are basing their strength of the AB's off of a home game against SA. If that were true which I don’t believe to be so, any dislike for the situation he found himself in, (not hatred for the opposition) would be completely understandable, the way you poisoned him so badly on that Thursday in 1995, that his preparation was utterly destroyed, and he was still spewing on the field for the final, so he had to be replaced before halftime. Why the hatred for Jeff? Is it because he was normally such a great finisher. God told us to love our fellow man, great rugby player or not. Makes me wonder who is your god !
It wasn’t the beating that hurt him, but the poisoning. Try and have some empathy for him, if you find it at all possible. The whole of New Zealand was in shock re what some human beings could do to others just to have them beaten in a game. They were used to the ratbags driving around the hotel car parks all night screeching their tyres so the ABs couldn’t sleep, but not poisoning. Who would think to take precautions for that ? As it turned out, the kiwi naivety ultimately contributed to SA anniversary celebrations.

The commentators attitudes are rather ignorant - they are still commentating like SA have not substantially upped their game. Before the Boks played predictable forwards based 10 man box kick rugby. But as we have seen in the last few matches, the Boks have varied their attack substantially, both within the backs and within the forwards. That's bloody hard to defend against if the set pieces are being dominated.
Is it just me, or did this video just end halfway through the program? It seem to end just before the panel started discussing the SA/IRE comparison??
Then I hear from the "pundits" (by the way, the lady retains a cool head), that we're "monsters" that only our "physicality" wins us matches, that we "strangle" others, and so on. Well, guess what: we're quite human, we, too, have brilliant "skillsets" (which you always retain for your team only), and we thumped NZ off the field at Twickenham--where were your skillsets then? Finally, last time you beat us in NZ, you "blitzed" us with a *kicking* game for 20 minutes--supposedly only *our* kind of game, eh? Or was that "footie?" I don't think so, gentlemen. Like with England, after beating NZ in 2019, everyone were praising, chanting, predicting, wishing, England to win the Cup. A sort of human defence mechanism to deal with the deep, engraved realization that the Boks will most probably turn up the heat when it matters most...and win the final.
The same rent free realization is still lingering in the guts and minds of many, now talking France and sometimes Ireland, two nations that could never win the World Cup due to the lack of depth and experience of going through the paces and dealing with the pressures on World Cup stage. SA has done it and know how to stay calm, cool and collected. SA just believe in themselves to be able to do it once more.
Making France the favourites just made it easier for the Boks. We now have something to motivate us to beat France. Thank you.

I love the bokkes but they’ve peaked. They smacked us good and proper. That said they rarely beat us two in a row though Ireland did it recently.

Objectively and comparatively, South Africa is, without a doubt, the better team at this point and time. They have clearly evolved a lot in four years and the versatility of their play style has compounded significantly. In the past five games or so they seem to have developed this aura of physical confidence thanks to their dominant set piece presence. The same one that the All Blacks had back in 2015 with Richie McCaw. The current AB team have great potential, especially with Telea and Mo’unga, but they lack resolve and discipline.

As long as South Africa dominate scrums then the backs will do the rest. South Africa undoubtedly have the best forward pack in world rugby. We saw that at the 2019 RWC & against the British & Irish Lions in 2021.

As if they aren't hard enough on a regular day, meeting them in a world cup KO game after giving them a hiding in a warm up game is a terrible idea.
